As promised the title says it all. I don't know why Feister's was more of a struggle to make compared to Brooklyn's seeing as she's been around longer. But any who here it is. Random headcanon time. We all know Feister isn't exactly the type of girl to be showing off her singing talents, however, she does rap because in her words "rapping is just talking quickly". Thus she raps the bridge when she's in the mood for it. But anyways....this is the first spot since it's often stated Feister is like fire in some ways. So yeah.

This is about freeing yourself in a different way-ish. The hints are in these lines. The Feister you all know and love wasn't always a little walking ball of rage. She was shy and quiet and almost like what Brooklyn is. But when she came into the newsie life all her pent up emotions burst, making her who she is today. Now she doesn't care what people think about her and instead just does what she wants.

I like to think Feister can name every girl Mush has ever been with. Not in a creepy way, just from all out annoyance and she feels the need to remind him about - before he does something stupid or whatever. Most importantly, Meister is a summer themed romance. She may come off as sweet sometimes but overall she can get pretty cold...and maybe a little petty.

If this one is a shocker it really shouldn't be. I'm almost sure there was a point and time where Feister just blasted the "Hey, hey, you, you, I don't like your girlfriend" part on repeat as a silent message to Mush that she was mad at him. And the cherry on top? The other boys are too scared to try and stop her so they just deal with those endless nine words repeating over and over again until she's made her point more than clear enough.

It's canon that Mush has canceled on plans he's made with Feister to go out with some date. Need more info on that? It's during the fight scene they have in The Other Girl. Though it was more like he forgot about their study date...now all I can think about is Kid Blink texting Mush reminders that he has something going on with Feister already. "Feisty's forever your girlfriend is WHATEVER!!!" Would be Blink's exact text.

Well so to speak in a way, I always knew I wanted her to be a news girl and have a crush on her best friend, this sort of...helped paved certain aspects of that. And since they've got a lot of things together he ends up doing some of the same stuff with whatever girl and you get what I'm getting at?

Ok ok this one you REALLY need to bare with me to understand. So we all know the term "drunk words as sober thoughts" (and by no means am I someone who encourages underage drinking). But this term has a weird connection to a one shot. Midnight. If you all remember that one then you'll know during that Mush had asked Feister to pretend to be his girlfriend to get Lacey to leave him alone. Thus he ends up saying all these sweet things to Feister, and wrapping his arm around her, placing little kisses on her cheek and on top of her head (making it more obvious). Meanwhile Feister doesn't have to pretend to enjoy it, cause she does, but knows by the end of the night it'll be over and she secretly wishes that he really means everything he does. So...the word "sober" in this context means "for it to be real".

This is how Feister views every, single, girl, Mush has ever been with. And it's true, they're all sweet at first, but when he's not around the girl(s) act "crazy" in front of her and by no means is Feister scared because she knows it's only a matter of time before true colors are shown.

Like the song and the lyrics I've highlighted for you, Mush and Feister are not only close but also love the other and want to be more than friends, but they're scared. Mush going through too many heartbreaks, and Feister not knowing if Mush would want to be with someone like her. So like the title their hearts were on fire for the other. So yes, the longed for the other, but again with them being so close plus other complications they couldn't.

Now you REALLY shouldn't be shocked cause as I've said many times in the past I knew The Past Comes Back was going to be where Mush really starts to see Feister in a new light, BUT I had ZERO clue on how to finally have the AH moment. And when I finally gave this song a listen cause YouTube kept putting it in my feed I cracked and saw how flipping much it tells how/what she feels for Mush in PCB. This is more Meister rather than just Feister. Seeing as they're newsies/at the bottom of the lower class on the social chain a lot of people look down upon them and when rumors start that Manhattan's girl is dating one of the news boys it kind of makes things worse. And while Feister doesn't care what people think it still stings a small part of her.

Anyways....this would be Strike and I'm Fine's child. Yes this came out afterwards and you can imagine my shock when I realized this. I literally used two lyrics in the book descriptions and that says something.

With that out of the way....see where I'm coming from cause ya know the strike was sort of like a knife for the newsies and one would say it was a...cruel summer. "every night that summer just to seal my fate" cause it was durning the strike did something finally happen with her and Mush. "Said "I'm fine" but it wasn't true", basically Feaster's who thought process from after the Refuge. And let's just take a look at Mush's line...."And I snuck in through the garden gate" he snuck into the Refuge just to see her when he found out she didn't make it out of the brawl. Both of them are... "I love you, ain't that the worst thing you ever heard?!" They said "I love you" so many times in a friendship manner but when they finally came clean they were like "Can you believe that" *takes in a deep breath* Ok thank you for this rant of a song that I may have looked too much into....is it clear it's one of my favorites?

While neither of them were 18 when they fell in love, the meaning is still the same. If you know this song then another gold star to you for understanding why this is here. No so much her personality or Meister, it's more of how Feister views herself and the boys as an entire group. Especially during the strike. Sure, she went to the Refuge, but in my timeline it's what helped them keep going. I've got this idea I've been working on for awhile, it's sort of the strike through Mush's eyes, and how he's down in the dumps over Feister in the Refuge. And ya know, after the rally when Jack and Kath convience the newsies for a basement break in, I think it took a LOT of convincing since the boys don't trust him or Katherine as much anymore. And Jack just kinda looks around the room, his eyes lands on Mush and he ask, "If Feisty were here, what would she do?" and Mush kind thinks about it, though he doesn't need to that much and replies with, "She'd soak yer sorry bum. Make sure ya never forget what happened and then go through with it casue she'd wanna stick it to that old rat." You're welcome for that.
