TRADE DRINKS BUT YOU DONT EVEN KNOW HER, SAVE ME TILL THE PARTYS OVER, KISS ME IN THE SEAT OF YOUR ROVER, REAL SWEET BUT I WISH YOU WERE SOBER

Albert, Mush and Feister: THINK HAPPY THOUGHTS

Brooklyn: *bites lip*

Albert: GPS KNOWS NOTHING

Mush: Paul did ONE good thing

Albert and Mush: *look at Feister*

Feister: gimme a second...uhhh..OH! Tell her she's only fifteen! *thumbs up*

Mush: you're fifteen

Feister: and you're sixteen! Your point is?

Brooklyn: *makes a squeak noise*

Albert: ok who wants to do it? I did it for the prep series

Mush: I am traumatized. Why does she read this? *looks at Brooklyn* why do you do this to yourself?

Brooklyn: *hugs pillow and falls against Albert's (muscular) arm*

Feister: and welcome back to Brook's books podcast! I'm your co-host Feisty J. Over there we've got co-co-host Al Dasilva. Co-co-co host my boyfriend Mush brains Meyers, and your main lady Brooklyn! We're heading back to Tommen college with your favorite Irish idiots. But really it's BCS. Man, Alec and Podge are underrated

Anyways! Joey Lynch and Aoife Maolly meet on their first day of first year. The two become fats friends but that changes overnight when Joey's deadbeat brother leaves town. Now a twelve year old Joey must fend for himself and his siblings, Shannon, Tagdh, Oille and soon Sean. He gets a job at a garage at non other than working for Aofie's father. It's a lot of up and down for these two. He's batting his demons, she's watching him destroy himself with substances for a momentary escape. But she has a boyfriend at this point and time. Eventually they become friends much to his - not long after they find their way to each other. Of course it isn't happily ever after just yet. Not in the slightest. They break out but quickly get back together and guess what? She's having his baby, but he doesn't know it, because his home is falling apart when the deadbeat comes back and the family is a mess. He's gotten better at hiding his addiction oh but he's cracking. We gone know it but he tries so hard to be there for everyone. More trouble comes, they get their happy ending after rehab and such.

Feister: yeah ok not the best sum but it was pretty dang good for this double encyclo-freaking-pedia

Mush: please explain to me how you can read a book that's 784 pages long. But sometimes can make it through a 400 page book. HOW

Brooklyn: it's called good writing Matthew!

Mush: everyday. Every, single, day, explains why you are the way you are

Brooklyn: SHE GAVE HIM HER LAST ROLO *sags against Al*

Mush: I take it that's your low...

Brooklyn: hell no you enjit!

Jack: STOP CALLING SOMEONE AN IDIOT IN ANOTHER LANGUAGE

Brooklyn: your rules don't apply to me Kelly! DOUBLE HIGHS AND LOWS PLEASE AND THANK YE

Albert: I don't think that's grammatically correct

Mush: how would you know, you don't pay attention in class

Brooklyn: GIMME A HIGH GIMME A LOW OR FOR THE LOVE OF THE HOLY DONKY GET OUTTA HERE

Albert:

Mush:

Feister:

Crutchie: *peeks behind camera*

BEEEEEPP

Brooklyn: *happy sigh* ok so double his double lows

Feister: gimme an x gimme an o *smirks*

Mush: sucked away in a tornado *raises hands*

Feister: don't get hit by a ufo *does hand game thingy*

Mush: I just won fair and square! Now I - no wait!

Feister: *at the same time* GET TO PULL YOUR HAIR!

Mush: YOURE NOT ACTUALLY SUPPOSED TO YANK A CHUCK OUT! *goes to tug one of her Dutch braids*

Feister: *swat hands away*

Brooklyn: highs and lows before I become emotionally unstable again

Albert: gorgeous, we already had an episode at your most unstable-ness

Brooklyn: my double high....for saving I have to go with the meet cute. Low...probably Halloween. Redeeming high - wrong word choice - when Joey gets back and Aoife pops. Low. When she had to go to - and take out the - she loves him

Albert: high, Christmas car joy ride. Low when he's dealing with his mother. Second high, the car ride to the hospital. My man Gibs just wanted some food. Second low, when she talks to him through songs

Mush: first high, honestly joey's eighteen when he comes home and vows to never leave his siblings. The first low, when they break up at the end. Second high, when Gibs throws himself on aofie's car. Second low, the fire

Feister: high one, the cereal scene, low one, I'd say after Sean was born and he skipped school for weeks. First high, when he sees Shannon off to Tommen, second low the aftermath of the fire

Brooklyn: the part where we see the phone call from Joey's pov when Johnny drives Shannon home. Really anything where redeeming over laps with the 13 duo. Podge and Alec are once again underrated. That one scene when Alec is all like "Shannon is sweet sixteen and looks like a dream" and Joey threats violence. Oh and when we see the school fight from Aoife's pov. And how Joey felt sick and perked right back up when Shannon called crying and, and, the trampoline scene. When he came back from rehab. Sweet little Sean. WHEN AOFIE COMES TO SEE JOEY AFTER THE FIRE AND HE ONLY RESPONDS TO HER! Gussie, I need a favor, lad. Say no more, Gussie's here lad. And the dedication for redeeming

Mush: Walshy, Sledge, Al and Madden. The og boys of tommen

Brooklyn: AND YEAH I MARRIED THE FIRST ONE HAD MY JAW ON THE FLOOR

Feister: Gussie and Joey the hurler, the funniest friendship

Brooklyn: you're a mad posh boy with a personality that unsettles me. Meanwhile I'm short tempered with neither the patience nor the temperament to handle someone such as yourself in my life.

Albert: the guy has four brothers and doesn't need another one

Mush: man, Gussie is good people for helping out

Brooklyn: and people seem to forget this so much!!

Feister: usually I don't see the appeal in your fictional boyfriends, but I think I'm starting too

Mush: FEISTY!

Feister: I am a girl. Clearly it's in my blood to feel some type of way when it comes to the troubled, tattooed ready to fight bad boy

Brooklyn: some type of way indeed. I love Johnny, he's a sweetheart and made me melt, but Joey is another level. I love them both so don't ever ask me to choose....but I mean....troubled and tattooed

Albert: you're strange for this

Mush: both are strange for this

Albert: I have bigger muscles

Mush: I can throw a punch

Brooklyn: yeah but where's your troubled past?

Crutchie: I think Race might be the most traumatized outta all of us

Albert and Mush: NOT HELPING

Brooklyn: I mean he's got the messy blond hair but he's more a of Gibs than a Joey. Actually, you and Race are kinda like Gibs and Johnny, cause Race would totally throw himself in front of a car if you were being "kidnapped" but you'd be the one to get your Race privileges taken away

Mush: oh it's happened

Brooklyn: it did?

Feister: yeah. They found a loop hole

Brooklyn: but seriously. Swoon. The garden scene when they kiss for the first time. Swoon. When she watched him get pinned to the cop car as kids? Swoon. Heh...when they ya know. Some. Type. Of. Way.

Feister: so it's true what they say bout boys from the Terrence

Albert and Mush: don't finish that

Feister: you guys complain I don't act more like a girl and when I'm having a fangirl moment you kill the mood. Mood killers

Mush: look I expect this kind of reaction from Brooklyn but not you

Feister: jealous much?

Mush: jealous not. I've got muscles

Feister: don't flex when you don't have it

Albert: now I've got the -

Feister: *chucks empty water bottle at him*

Mush: there's my girl

Brooklyn: nice legs! Nice shirt! Hey queen! Hey stud! I mean, the banter, the flirting, the constant tension and chemistry. Ugh I can't. I could never be as strong as Aofie, but for one day

Albert: BROOKLYN

Brooklyn: let me have my moment Al

Albert: you were crying one second, laughing the next, and experienced every emotion known to man in one book

Brooklyn: instant five stars but zero for the emotional damage it caused

Mush: that makes no sense

Brooklyn: IT MAKES SENSE! Did we read the same book?! Have we always read the same book? I'm starting to think no Matthew Nicholas!

Feister; heh. Matthew Nicholas Meyers

Mush: yeah laugh while you can Claire.....rose Marie Johnson?

Feister: NOT EVEN CLOSE

Mush: dang it

Brooklyn: these books are not for the faint of heart. These books should not be in the young adult section due to its themes. I stand by this and I will always move them if I see em in a non clueless store.

Albert: the security people must think you're strange

Brooklyn: or smart. Didn't I tell ye that these books are HEARTBREAKING

Mush: no. All I've heard is that you've got my girl crushing on a dead tree

Brooklyn: with tattoos

Feister: and a mean chip on his shoulder

Mush: in starting to think you're only saying this to mess with me

Feister: *smiles sweetly*

Brooklyn: honestly I love this series with my whole heart

Albert: more than your hockey boys? I can compete with the Irish idiots

Brooklyn: mmmm nope. Don't make me pick because I will not be picking. I am forever ruined from what these guys put me through

Albert: date the quiet girl they said. It'll be fun they said. It'll be easy, and low maintenance and fluffy they said

Brooklyn: shut up you love me

Albert: yeah that

Brooklyn: WELL FINALLY. Heh. I like it when you let me quote

Mush: I just realized we've almost done this whole series and we've never finished that hockey one

Brooklyn: because Matthew, out of five books four got five stars. My hockey books are up and down and all around. This is the end of Tommen

Mush: I thought there's one more

Brooklyn: it, is, finished. We do not speak of the messy seven. Which was so obviously chopped up and rushed out the door. Where's the magic?

Mush: I'm not sure

Brooklyn: exactly! When I'm not thinking about 13 I'm lost in 6! And the overlap and all the little things we learned, and how much Shannon loves Joey but we don't really feel that in his books because he's so lost and just I CANNOT!! When little AJ is born - AOFIE and JOEY! - they're little family and when he comes back and everyone is so happy and the hand shake between Mr. Rugby and Joey the hurler. Then Gibs had to come in and

Albert: ruin the moment with his rugby shaped head

Brooklyn: I WAS DYING

Feister: complex much

Mush: I'm bringing Blink here next time. I need a sane person beside me

Kid Blink: my sanity went out the window watching you and Feisty!

Mush: *throws hands in the air* I can't win. Are there any books you've read that kept you emotionally stable?

Brooklyn: THERE WERE FIVE TOTAL

Albert: *mumbles* here we go

BROOKLYN: PETER THE MOST POPULAR BOY IN SCHOOL. KENNY FROM CAMP, LUCAS FROM HOMECOMING. JOHN AMBROSE FROM MODLE UN AND JOSH, BUT...HE'S MY SISTERS BOYFRIEND

Brooklyn:I only acknowledge the first book and first movie. The other two are so-so

Mush: Divergent kept you sane

Brooklyn: did it Matthew

Mush: oh, right. Fine whatever carry on.

Brooklyn: there's so love I loved and hated about the 6 duo and clearly I've blocked out so much. So I guess this brings us to the end of another great episode! More bookish fun on insta, TikTok, and the Tube. Links below.
