------
- Sabre's POV -
His eyes slowly opened, scanning the blurry landscape around him.
He was lying on his side on the ground, which used to be cobble and stone bricks but now had darkness covering most of it as if it had exploded outwards from under Sabre.
He groaned and shifted, trying to lie on his back (but failing miserably), when he heard a few shuffles from behind him.
"He's awake." Someone murmured, and Sabre was sure he knew their voice but everything was so blurry and painful he couldn't pinpoint who it was.
"Sabre, are you okay?" Someone crouched down in front of him, and when Sabre's eyes adjusted, he saw it was Dark.
Time was standing behind him, looking really worried as he was standing really stiff and was fidgeting.
"I...I think I'm okay...?" Sabre muttered, trying to place his hands onto the ground to push himself up.
"No, no, no! Don't stand up!" Time stepped forward, gently placing a hand on Sabre's back so he wouldn't get up, "You're too weak to right now, you'll only make it worse if you try to stand."
Now that Sabre thought about it, trying to stand up almost immediately after passing out was not a good idea.
He sighed and used his current trying-to-get-up position to roll himself over onto his back (without crushing Time's hand, of course, he waited until Time's hand moved)
"You've been out for almost an hour." Dark informed Sabre, sitting beside him.
Time still stood just behind Dark, watching Sabre with careful eyes (or so he assumed, he couldn't tell with the mask but he had started picking up on Time's feelings based on body language over the time he'd spent with him)
"An hour?" Sabre's eyes widened under his blindfold.
"Yeah. We didn't want to move you in case we hurt you doing so." Time softly spoke, glancing around as he spoke as if checking no-one was around.
Sabre understood why. Sabre wasn't exactly welcome anywhere at the moment, besides with Time and Dark.
"I would've been fine, I'm sure." Sabre smiled.
"Maybe, but we didn't want to risk it with your arm and...extra eyes." Time gestured to Sabre's arm and face, and Sabre was immediately concerned and confused.
"What? What's wrong with my arm? And extra eyes?" Sabre sat up quickly, Dark reaching forward with a wide-eyed concerned look to help him.
Sabre lifted up both his arms, gasping when he saw that one arm was fine, but his other arm was almost completely black, and most of it was missing entirely.
Sabre almost shrieked, but he did jump back (which startled poor Dark), and stare at it in shock.
"What happened to my arm?!" He yelped, although he knew Time and Dark probably didn't know either.
They shrugged, confirming Sabre's thoughts.
"And my eyes...?" Sabre murmured, stumbling to his feet and, with the help of Dark and Time, walked over to a pond to look down at.
Sabre yelped when he saw the eyes he thought he had hidden.
His two normal eyes were hidden under his blindfold, but peeking out from the top and bottom of the grey-brown material, were glowing, purple eyes.
They were placed like a spider's eyes, and as Sabre squinted, they reacted and squinted as well.
Sabre then realised that his vision was better, both his normal and peripheral vision. He had been used to it years ago, but because he had spent so long without them, he now felt dizzy.
Sabre stumbled back, but was caught by Time and Dark.
"Whoa! You okay?" Time asked with a concerned voice, and Dark gave Sabre a concerned look.
"I'm...I'm fine...don't worry about me." Sabre muttered.
"Are you sure?" Dark was quiet, but firm. He knew that Sabre was probably lying.
"I'll...be fine soon." Sabre eventually sighed. Dark and Time were silent for a moment, before giving a small nod.
"Do you know why you have extra eyes?" Time asked.
Sabre slowly nodded. "Yes...I..." Sabre sighed, "It's a long story."
"Well, give a quick version." Dark offered with a smile.
"Alright." Sabre smiled back.
The two helped him sit down before sitting next to him.
"In my old world, hybrids and strange creatures exist alongside humans. Humans are the most common, because they hunt creatures and hybrids. They see them as weird and dangerous, and think they should be extinct." Sabre started.
"That's horrible!" Dark cried.
"Let him continue, Dark." Time frowned.
"Sorry." Dark mumbled.
"It's okay, Dark." Sabre smiled before continuing, "I had to hide from hunters because they hunted me. I was --- am a hybrid. My mother was a spider and enderman hybrid, my father was an Avian, which is a humanoid with bird features. I got the extra spider eyes from my mother, with small wings from my dad."
"But you don't have wings?" Time asked.
Sabre glanced down at the ground with a sad look. "I got caught once, when I was about 6. They cut off my wings. I escaped before they killed me, as they were planning to kill me after they cut out my extra eyes."
A look of horror crossed both of the Steves' faces, but Sabre rushed on before he could hear their words of pity.
"Anyway, I lived my life trying to hide from these hunters. All hybrids and creatures did. Some were nice, but most were mean because of their fear of being found. I lost my parents in my early teenager years to hunters, but I was old enough to survive on my own. But one day, I came across a portal when I was running from hunters. It led me here." Sabre smiled.
"Wow...that's...a really sad story." Dark murmured.
"It's fine. I'm fine now." Sabre shrugged, glancing away.
He still had a few habits from his old world, like preferring to hide in caves, or wanting to keep as many of his secrets actually secret as he could, but he was getting better now.
"Well, if you ever need us to help with anything. Just let us know." Time smiled and a grin appeared on Dark's face.
"Yeah! We can create blanket forts and have ice-cream in cuddle piles! It'll be fun to cheer you up!" Dark grinned, then paused before continuing with a slightly guilty look, "Although, I'm not wishing you to feel sad enough that we need to cheer you up."
Sabre and Time burst into laughter, and Dark soon followed.
The three continued laughing on their way home, as if no worries would ever come to them again.
If only that were the case...

Yay I finally finished Day 2 on Day...16
oops
I got sick today (really sick, my stomach feels both so empty that it's got starvation pains and also feeling like I've got such a full stomach that I'm going to throw up, no matter whether I eat or not (and it doesn't matter how much I eat), and I'm really dizzy, I've got a bad headache and when I move, the world seems to move slower than me. It's weird and not fun but I got to finish this part :] )
This also means I have not proofread this, so I'm sorry if there's any mistakes.
Anyway, happy ending (sort of) for this and I hope you enjoy the future parts.
Have a good day/night!
