First Year,
You Didn't Want to Listen.
She sat alone, wide awake in her common room, there was something peaceful about looking up at the stars, in the dead of night. The twinkling glow of moonlight danced across the lake, the silence made the quietest of noises loud, she smiles as she saw a fox with its cub no doubt sneaking around for some food.
She remembered the stories her mother would tell her of her uncles all mastered becoming an animagus. All creatures of the night, an owl, foxes and badger, 'troublemakers of the night,' her mother would call them.
Then she thought of their children, her cousins, Ethan, Laura and Max. How they missed out on incredible parents, the oldest remembers little things here and there his sister, struggled to remember them despite how much she tried. The youngest didn't see the point in trying to remember his father, Aimee and Sirius were his parents.
"You spoil everything, you and your stupid pranks!"
"That's a bit extreme, just for the record I wasn't trying-
"I don't care what you were trying to do, Rhea, for once to stop trying to be like your dad,"
She creased her brows she didn't see anything, only hearing the commotion, almost like there wasn't anything to be seen only heard. She heard the voices of her sister and Laura, she needed to know what happened for Laura to snap at her.
In every class, she attended that day she glanced between Rhea and Laura, enough times to draw up suspicion. Though neither of the girls picked up on it, Cedric did she barely uttered a word to him all day. Stating that she had something to do but when he crossed her path she didn't seem to be busy at all.
She made her way to the Owlery, there was something she needed before the end of the day. Phoebe waited patiently, she sighed at the sound of paw pads walking up the steps as her mother walked around the corner.
"Hi, Sweetheart, I thought I'd see Laura, is she not coming?"
"No she's with her friends, why didn't dad come?"
"He got called into work, wizards causing an issue again, he'll be fine," she said, noticing her daughter's worry, "he's got Alice and Frank with him,"
"Yeah, I guess, mum, something different happened,"
"What do you mean?"
"I heard an argument, I didn't see anything, it was like it was blank and I could only hear it,"
"Have you spoken with Grammy?"
"Not yet,"
"Alright, do you feel okay?" she nodded, wrapping her arms around her, "I worry about you, sweetheart,"
"I know," she mumbled, her mother handed her Laura's birthday card and presents while she was hoping to see her she understood if she wanted to be with her friends.

As Laura's birthday neared she couldn't shake the feeling that something was going to happen, she needed to tell her. As she made her way to Hufflepuff Common room, she spotted Cedric, she kept her head down hoping he would see she was in a hurry.
"Hey, how've you been?" he asked
"Fine, why'd you ask?
"Just you've been acting a little strange," she sighed
"I worried about Laura, is she in there?" he shook his head, "do you know where she might be,"
"No, sorry," she touched his arm.
"So tell me, am I going to catch the snitch," Cedric said, she laughed tucking her hair behind her ear.
"You know it doesn't work like that,"
"Humor me," she bit her lip, closing her eyes.
"You do catch it - oh no wait, I don't know," he laughed, "just have a good game," she pecked his cheek.
"Phoebe?"
"Sorry, I've just got a lot on my mind," before she could leave he stopped her.
"You can talk to me you know, it's never good to keep a lot of things to yourself,"
"Thank you, I'll remember that,"
As she left to find Laura she thought about what she had seen. Cedric knew about her ability, they joked about her gift, in a polite manner. She looked back at him, walking into Laura, she smiled upon seeing her, handing her the cards from their family.
"My mum hoped to see you," she eyed the boy next to her. It still baffled her that she had befriended a Slytherin boy.
"Oh yeah, I completely forgot to be honest,"
"I'm sure she doesn't mind, how're things with Rhea?" she asked
"Fine, though I'm glad he stopped fighting with the Weasley's,"
"Good for her, can I talk to you alone please?" she walked with her away from the boy, "I think I saw something, you and Rhea and a fight, I think a prank might have something to do-
"Pheebs, I can handle Rhea, thank you though,"
She watched as she left with her friends, an older Slytherin pushed his way between them. That's when she heard the loudest bang she had heard, sprinting towards the commotion. Four students were covered in thick black paint, Rhea knelt down to help her.
"You spoil everything, you and your stupid pranks!"
"That's a bit extreme, just for the record I wasn't trying-
"I don't care what you were trying to do, Rhea, for once to stop trying to be like your dad," Laura stood up, shaking the paint from her robes, she stormed past everyone.
"Are you okay?" she asked
"You could have warned me,"
"I tried you didn't want to listen,"
That was twice now, twice she did get to tell them early enough. It wasn't her fault and deep down she knew that. However Grammy had always told her to help those in need, all she was doing was causing people to be upset or mad at her for not warning them. She left the hall, tears falling down her face, telling herself
'You are not a walking crystal ball, you are a person, a kind, good, person, not a crystal ball,'
