First Year,
I Daydream Often.

Running through the trees, something close behind her. Speed unlike anything she had ever encountered, a terrifying howl in the distance. Gave her a chance to run, only when silence fell did she remain still.

"Come out, little seer, come and work for us," she heard a cold voice call for her, as the voice faded she took her chance, running out of the forest.

"Crucio!"

Phoebe screamed jolting awake, causing other students to enter her room, her cousin's friend Penelope can and sat with her. She tried to gather the thoughts of what she had seen, something wasn't right. She didn't see who was involved all she knew was someone found out she was a seer.

"Phoebe," Penelope said, she looked at her trying to register where she was, "you're okay, just take a deep breath,"

"I got to get out of here," she hurried out of her room, she had no idea what to make of what she saw.

She found herself outside of a study hall, she tried the door, but to no surprise, it was locked. She held her wand up the handle, 'Alohomora!' she cast successfully unlocking the door for her to enter. She searched the hall for any leftover parchment.

Taking a quill she dotted it in the ink, as she pressed the quill to the sheet. She paused, rethinking everything. 'I can't write to mum and dad, they would want me to come home,' she rested her head in her arms, a tear fell down her cheek.

"Dad was right, I should have stayed at home," she mumbled.

"Miss Black is there a reason for being out of bed after hours," she lifted her head to see Professor Dumbledore standing in the doorway waiting for her response.

"No professor I just need somewhere quiet to clear my head,"

"I can't imagine any of your housemates, being awake at this hour,"

"You'd be surprised," there were many Ravenclaw students that never managed to sleep until the early hours of the morning, some even went to class on very little sleep.

"Won't you join me for some herbal tea, might calm your nerves," she nodded her head.

She followed the Headmaster up to his office, she questioned how he knew where she was, or that she was awake. Then again, Hogwarts held many secrets, one of the portraits could have easily informed him of her whereabouts.

She studied his room again this time without the added worries of what the professors had to say. His office had been decorated for Halloween, a holiday that hated. She saw too many things that were either troublesome or just loud enough that she couldn't think straight, it was during moments like this that she understood her Great-grandmother's choice to live in the countryside.

"Feel better now?" he asked, as she sipped her tea, "it must be difficult, dealing with such powers at a young age, even more so if you have no one to talk to," she nodded

"I have my sister,"

"Ah, yes Rhea Black, I've had the pleasure of her being sent to my office more time than I can count,"

"Yes, sorry about her, I could have warned you she's quite a handful-

"Oh nonsense, she actually reminds me of young Gryffindor boy,"

"You mean my dad,"

"Your father, was a memorable student, all he wanted to do was make people laugh," she smiled knowing that's all Rhea wanted to do, make people laugh.

After she managed to calm herself down she hurried to meet Rhea and Laura. Something about this journey seemed familiar like she had seen or heard of this somewhere before. Then it clicked when she heard laughter, she hurried hoping it could cheer her up.

Many students crowded outside in the courtyard, as she spotted Rhea strung up by her ankle, she desperately tried to reach up to untangle herself. The area cleared as Professor McGonagall arrived she flicked her wand allowing Rhea down.

"Miss Black, who did this to you?"

"Fred Weasley, I know it was him," she nodded, as though she could have predicted who Rhea would say. As McGonagall left, she ran over to her sister, Laura had already beat her there.

"Are you alright?" Laura asked

"I'm fine, them boys are going to get what they deserve-" she paused, "what are you smiling at?"

"I just had a bad night, you see I saw-

"You saw what happened?"

"Yes, that's not what I wanted to tell you though-

"You saw it and you didn't tell me, why?" she exclaimed, "why would you let that happen to me?" Phoebe looked down she didn't expect Rhea to be mad at her.

"I just thought-

"No, you didn't think," Rhea abruptly left them, she stormed through the halls.

"She doesn't mean that, Rhea!" Laura shouted, Phoebe never wanted to hurt her, she believed that Rhea would find it amusing or at least marvel that they bested her. 'I should have just told her that I saw what happened,'
