Thirty-Two
Summer 1991,
Thirteen Unlucky for Some.
"Rhea," she whispered, carefully sitting on her bed "Ri, are you awake?"
"No, sorry you'll have to come back later," Phoebe hit her with a pillow, chuckling at her, "alright, I'm up," she laughed, "Happy birthday Pheebs,"
"Happy birthday, what did you wish for?"
"Would you believe I wish for you to be wrong about Hades,"
"Trust me, I hope I'm wrong, I couldn't think of anything than him being all alone, at least in another house, he'd have one of us with him,"
"Yeah, what did you wish for me?" Rhea asked she smiled looking back at the door,
"I wished for you to be more honest with yourself," she creased her brows
"What do you mean?"
"Do you like Fred, or are you just putting up with him for George," when Rhea didn't respond right away she continued, "Because if you are then how's that fair on George,"
"I do like Fred, he's my best friend, at least I think he is,"
"Well is he coming?" she asked, "Cedric is, he can't wait to see Moon,"
"I think so, we should probably get ready,"

With their birthday party in full swing, Phoebe wondered why her sister opted to wear a dress without having shorts underneath. Then she understood why, she spotted her sneaking away for a moment, she was greeted at the door by Jack.
Her mind was drawn away from them upon Moon's excessive barking, whenever someone entered the room. She made the decision to take him upstairs where he wouldn't cause a bother, she smiled as Cedric knelt down on the floor ruffling the dog's fluffy coat.
"Why don't we play with him outside, it's still really warm out," Cedric suggested she agreed hurrying outside with him Moon racing ahead of them.
Cedric smirked, when Phoebe wasn't looking he took the hose pipe, spraying water at her and Moon. She shrieked running away from him, while the dog jumped up attempting to bite the water. She laughed, struggling to take the hose from him, resulting in the pair ending up drenched head to toe.
Watching them from afar with soft smiles on their faces, Aimee rested her head on Sirius' shoulder. He slipped his arm around her waist rest his head on top of hers. They couldn't have been happier for Cedric to have come into Phoebe's life, he had been a warm presence in their daughter's life.
"You're not going to cry are you?" Aimee asked
"No," he told her, "She growing up, they all are," he turned around watching, his not-so-little ones dance and laugh with their friends. "I think having four teenagers is going to be tough don't you think?"
"If they're like you and I then yes it will be," he kissed her temple, someone cleared their throat they turned around.
"I don't mean to interrupt, but I was hoping to talk to you about Phoebe," Amelia spoke.
"Oh, is everything alright?" Aimee questioned, loosening her arm around her husband's waist.
"I was hoping to talk more privately," they nodded walking with her to a room just off from the function room. "First I'd like you to know that it isn't easy for me to explain this to you,"
"It's okay, Amelia," Sirius spoke, "We need to know what our daughter is going through,"
"Now that she's thirteen, she's going to go through a few things, just like all teenagers go through mood swings and rebellious stages, Phoebe's going to go through her own changes, her visions may become more real, they might involve strangers that she's never met, I've given her a few to books to read through and try a few things, it's very important that she doesn't suppress her visions, doing so could cause more damage than not freely expressing her visions,"
"How can we help?" Aimee asked
"Just listening, giving her a safe space to come to when she needs it, a person she could tell everything to and never question her about them,"
"Will she be okay?" Sirius asked Amelia nodded
"Yes, I won't lie to you things will get tough, they'll be moments when she doesn't know who to turn to, you just have to be there when she needs you, hounding her won't make her come to you when you need her too most,"
They watched as Phoebe and Cedric laughed with water dripping down their faces. They knew she had told Cedric and how supportive he had been. He was a such good friend to Phoebe, they were certain they didn't have to worry about her choice in friendship.

"How've you been?" Cedric asked, she smiled at him, "you know since Diagon Alley,"
"I'll admit, what I saw, it worried me," he nodded, "I don't know much about trolls, but I'm positive that my dad is right, I shouldn't worry too much they're wouldn't have the brains to navigate Hogwarts,"
"Yeah, I guess are you nervous about going back,"
"No, I'm not, I can't wait to go to Hogsmeade, Grammy has a friend she'd like me to meet,"
"I can see us being there a lot," she smiled at him.
She didn't lie she wasn't nervous about returning to Hogwarts. The only fear she had was the fear surrounding the number thirteen, a number heavily associated with bad luck. She was now thirteen years old, and a small part of her believed her gift was changing.
She knew her ability would alter as she aged, her Grammy had become a master of foreseeing the future. Even having the ability to conjure vision at will, while Phoebe had done this once, it was only the beginning of what her true powers would one day become.
