Summer 1990,
Twelve

Hearing her mother and father decorating Grimmauld Place disturbed her sleep, as quietly as they tried to be, she would hear little bickering from them. Their goal was to have the home decorated before she and Rhea walked downstairs, she walked to her sister's room like she did on every birthday she crept into bed with her.

"Happy birthday, Rhea," her sister groaned stretching as she wrapped her arms around her.

"Happy birthday, Pheebs, what's your wish for this year then?"

"I wish you good luck, for the Quidditch tryouts," Phoebe told her,

"Thanks, I wish you have the confidence to tell Diggory your little secret," her eyes widened as she moved away from her.

"You know I've been trying to tell him?"

"Yeah, I don't need to be a seer to see you, struggling to tell him, he seems like a nice boy, if he messes with you, I'll give him a good punch,"

"Thank you but that won't be necessary, did you invite anyone?"

"No, just wanted to be with family,"

They drifted back to sleep only for a moment, until Sirius and Aimee came to wake them up. Never bothering to go to Phoebe's room, they headed straight for Rhea's, smiling as they laid sound asleep together.

"One, two three," Sirius mouthed to his wife.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" they shouted, waking them up Rhea threw her pillow over her head while Phoebe hurried to hug them, she hurried downstairs to their presents.

"Open that one first," Hope said pointing to a box,

"There's something moving inside it," Max said, she cautiously approached the box, turning back to her parents who stood smiling at her.

"We wrapped that one, about 5 minutes ago," Sirius told her,

She lifted the lid of the box, out toppled a puppy, her eyes lit up as she lifted the small animal, it licked the tip of her nose making her laugh. Her brothers and sister wanted to hold the dog, while Ethan's cat Garfield kept his distance. It was small and cute now but he would get big and slobbery.

"Thank you, I love him," she smiled at the black and white puppy,

"He'll need a name," her mother said, she looked the little fluffball he had the most enchanting grey eyes, they reminded her of the moon.

"I think I might call him Moon,"

She took her puppy outside, running around with him, she laughed as he chased after her jumping up and clinging onto her jumper. She didn't care if he ruined it, he was just a baby, she laid down while he jumped and climbed all over her licking her face.

"Oh cute, a husky pup," Lily said, appearing with James, Harry and Mia, "happy birthday sweetie, where's your sister?"

"Inside," she pointed to the house, lifting the puppy into her arms, "what do you think I called him Moon,"

"I'm sure Remus will like his name," James told her, guiding her inside the house.

As the day went on their birthday party was near, Phoebe returned to her bedroom to get ready, she asked her mother if Moon could stay downstairs. She agreed as long as she didn't lose him, to make sure she didn't lose him she kept him on a leash, it would only be for a little while when she would take him upstairs.

She was surprised that Rhea chose to wear a skirt, even if she still wore her Queen band shirt and tucked some of it into the skirt, leaving a small piece out for aesthetic. She still wore boots that didn't change, she kept glancing to the door no sign of Cedric yet.

Moon whined she took him outside in case he needed to the toilet, she watched him as he pottered around sniffing for just the right spot. His face lit up running to someone behind her she turned around smiling at the person knelt down stroking him

"You got a puppy?"

"Yes, I wasn't sure you'd make it," she hugged Cedric, thanking him for coming,

"Shall we go inside-

"Actually, I was hoping to tell you something, alone,"

"Okay," he waited for her to speak, she picked up Moon hoping to have some comfort with the pup she petted him lightly.

"I'm a Seer, I wanted you to know because you're my friend,"

"Are you really?" he asked smiling at her, she nodded, "that's so cool, have you seen anything about me,"

"Well, I knew you'd be in Hufflepuff, and I think you're on the Quidditch team too," he opened his mouth to speak, "and before you ask I don't know which year," he held his hands up

"Is that why you mutter little words to yourself?"

"You noticed that," she tucked her hair behind her ear wondering if others noticed

"Yeah, at first I thought you were just studying and talking out loud, then you do it when you eating,"

"Oh god, I didn't know that,"

"It's not a bad thing, it's just something you could work on, or not, it never bothered me," she smiled at him,

"I'd appreciate it if you told me when I do it,"

"Okay, I will, shall we go inside now," she nodded, she hurried to take Moon upstairs, holding Cedric's hand as she showed him upstairs.

They stayed upstairs for the rest of the night, laughing as they played with Moon, she didn't feel right leaving him all alone. It was better now that Cedric knew, something that surprised her never asked her anything else regarding her vision, only interested in what she had been up to and how her birthday had been.

He truly was a good friend.
