Chapter One: Reunited
It was October 30th, 2018. Michael was to be transferred to a different facility. He really didn't care, he had nothing much else to look forward to.
That was until the bus crashed.
His doctor crashed the bus which made him confused. Why would he do that?
It didn't matter to Michael. He decided to use this as an escape.
Killing guards and letting his fellow inmates go was first. He then killed a kid and his father, stole their car and almost forgot how to drive. He had reversed into the ditch on accident and he felt slightly embarrassed. Eventually he remembered how to drive and was soon on his way to Haddonfield.
Halloween Night 2018:
Crystal adjusts her witch's hat and sticks her tongue out in the mirror, she was feeling cheeky tonight. She checks her black dagger earrings were on straight and nods at herself. Crystal smooths out the creases on her black dress and centres her black laced yellow crescent moon choker. She then looks at the patch on her left forearm and scans it with her phone, the screen glows a green and she smiles, "The green zone. Nice!"
"Yo Chris. Your left shoelace is untied," a tiger girl says before leaving the room.
Crystal rolls her eyes at the nickname.
Crystal looks down and ties up the shoelace on one of her black boots, she also adjusts her fishnet tights. Crystal then stands up and smiles at herself, her shoulder-length brown hair framed her olive-skinned face perfectly, her dark brown eyes had a sparkle to them. She puts her ring with the heart shaped diamond back onto her finger and cracks her knuckles.
She exits the bathroom to go back to the party, only to see Allyson storming out of the gym. "Huh?... Allyson!" she chases after the girl outside; their friend Oscar also joins along.
"What's with her, Crystal?" Oscar asks as he readjusts the beers he had in his arms.
"Dunno," Crystal replies with a shrug. "Hey Allyson wait up!"
The girl finally stops and turns around with an upset expression. Crystal and Oscar catch up to her.
"What happened?" Oscar asks.
"Ugh... Cameron kissed Kim and then shoved my phone in the nachos," Allyson replies.
The three teens start walking down the street.
"I'm sure he'll apologise," Oscar says, "He just needs to sleep it off."
"Cameron doesn't want anyone to see him as the bad guy but then he gets drunk, and gets belligerent, and looks like an idiot," Allyson says.
Oscar nods and Crystal folds up her witches hat and puts it in her bat tote bag.
"And then I look like an idiot for vouching for him," Allyson adds with a pout, "I'm really tired of everybody letting me down... all the time."
"Just dump his ass. He does this shit all the time," Crystal says.
"You deserve better," Oscar says, "I mean... You're the coolest, prettiest and the nicest girl in school. If anyone doesn't appreciate that, they're a crazy person."
"PERIOD," Crystal adds.
"Thank you, guys," Allyson smiles, "That's very sweet."
Crystal and Allyson jump down the wall and then wait for Oscar; he awkwardly stands there staring at the girls.
"Need help?" Crystal asks and holds out her hand for him to take.
"I'm fine..." Oscar jumps down and then lets out a pained grunt as his beers fall out of his arms.
"You alright?" Allyson asks and helps Oscar stand up.
Oscar nods and brushes himself off. He then leans into Allyson's face and she leans away.
"What is wrong with you?" Crystal shoves him against the wall and he steps on a can of beer, it crunches under his foot and the beverage spills out onto the ground.
"We were talking about that Allyson deserves better... I-I just thought..." Oscar trails off as he feels Crystal's disapproving glare melt him.
"You thought you're it?" Crystal crosses her arms and shakes her head with a scoff, "Let's go Allyson."
The two girls face away from Oscar and start walking off.
"Wait!" Oscar tries to catch up to the girls but finds himself stuck in the beam of a floodlight. He spots a figure in the yard with him wearing navy coveralls and a white mask. "Sorry about trespassing... I uh..." the lights go off. Oscar feels scared and the lights come back on, the figure appears in another corner of the yard. "I was just using this place as a shortcut... M-My friends walked off..."
Allyson and Crystal hear a scream from behind them, they exchange glances and run towards the noise. They find themselves in front of a gate and the lights from the house turn on and reveal Oscar impaled on the gate. Allyson screams and Crystal just blinks at the scene, fascinated by the blood dripping from Oscar's throat.
A figure walks out from behind the wall brandishing a large kitchen knife. Allyson screams and runs off yelling for help. Crystal simply tilts her head and squints her eyes at the figure. The figure tilts its head and lowers the knife almost in recognition. She runs off in the direction that Allyson went; she was not going to stick around to find out what that person was going to do to her.
"Allyson!" Crystal yells as she runs around trying to find her friend, "Allyson where are you?!"
She spots the girl sitting on someone's porch with people surrounding her and runs up to her, "Allyson." The two girls hug and Allyson starts to sob into Crystal's shoulder.
They hear sirens and see a police vehicle pull up, Officer Hawkins and Doctor Sartain step out. "Allyson are you okay?" Hawkins asks. Allyson starts to babble on about seeing a guy in coveralls and wearing a white mask and Oscar being impaled on the fence.
"You alright Crystal?" Sartain asks.
She looks up and sees the old doctor staring at her, "Yeah... Doc. I-It's been a while huh?"
Sartain nods.
"We have to get you girls home," Hawkins says as he pulls Allyson to her feet. "Get in your houses and lock your doors!" Hawkins yells at the people gathering and helps the girls into the vehicle.
Allyson leans against the window as Crystal sits in the middle seat looking at the two adults in the front. She scans her patch again and sees she's a bit low from all the running but still in the green zone.
"Allyson, Crystal..." Sartain turns and looks at the two girls in the back seat, "Keep your eyes open." Allyson squints her eyes out the window and Crystal looks out the other, "He's out here somewhere..."
"Who?" Crystal asks.
"Michael Myers," Sartain replies.
The name strikes fear into Crystal. She remembers that he's killed numerous people and has been locked up in Smith's Grove. Crystal's eyes widen as she realises that she was once in the same Sanitorium as the famed killer.
The radio says something indecipherable and Hawkins replies in cop code.
Allyson then spots Michael walking down a street and bangs on the window, "Look! It's him!"
Crystal looks through the window to see Michael there, the large knife dripping with blood. She internally cringes, Man's out here giving people tetanus.
The two males both stare at the tall man walking around wearing navy coveralls and a white mask. "Here we go," Hawkins revs the engine and sharply turns the car into the street, "Brace yourselves."
Sartain gives Hawkins a look of concern, "Don't hit him!"
Crystal and Allyson scream and cling to each other.
"Michael!" Sartain yells.
The car slams into Michael and he falls to the ground with an almighty thump. Allyson and Crystal try and look over the dash to see Michael's body. The two men exit the car and Hawkins draws his weapon.
"Don't shoot him!" Sartain rushes towards Michael's motionless body on the ground.
"Doctor get back!" Hawkins shoves Sartain back.
"You killed him... he's dead," Sartain says.
"I'm still gonna blow his motherfucken brains out!" Hawkins cocks his gun.
"You leave my patient alone!"
Crystal remembers blowing her father's brains out ten years ago.
"Get away from the body," Hawkins says, "I'm not gonna say it again. Step away from the suspect!"
Sartain produces a penknife and stabs Hawkins in the neck, the action startling the two girls and the officer.
The two girls watch in horror as Sartain throws Hawkins' body to the ground. "Oh no..." Allyson starts to sob again.
Crystal eyes widen. He just stabbed a police officer. Crystal's low glucose alarm goes off and Allyson screams again.
"Hey I'm fine!" Crystal deactivates the alarm and has some jellybeans; she sets a timer for fifteen minutes. Allyson nods and covers her mouth with her hands.
They watch as the Doctor picks up Michael's mask and puts it on, he then picks up Michael and opens the side door of the police vehicle.
"Make room for my patient!" Sartain shoves Michael inside the car and takes the mask off, he throws the mask onto Michael's lap. Allyson and Crystal shuffle away from the "dead" man. Sartain then sits in the driver's seat of the vehicle and turns around to face the girls, "These people want to kill this man." Allyson and Crystal stare at Sartain. "But the crimes you observed... Was an important opportunity to understand the mind of evil you see?"
Crystal glares at the doctor, "Dude. You just stabbed a police officer."
Sartain shrugs, "When Michael awakes, we'll be ready."
"For what?" Allyson asks.
"Their reunion."
The girls look between each other in confusion. Crystal's timer goes off and she checks her glucose again, it was in the green zone. She nibbles on some crackers as Allyson stares up at Michael's unconscious form.
"Michael's pursuit of Laurie Strode could be what keeps him alive," Sartain explains while cleaning the blood off his penknife. "I would suspect the notion of being a predator or the fear of becoming prey keeps both of them alive."
"Wait... isn't Laurie Strode your Grandma?" Crystal asks Allyson and puts her crackers away.
"Yeah..." Allyson replies.
Sartain starts the car and revs the engine; he then takes his foot off the break and runs over Hawkins.
"I'd also believe he was looking for you too Crystal. You and he had a strange relationship during your year in Smith's Grove," Sartain looks into the mirror at the girl, "You better start remembering everything. Those people shouldn't've made you repress those memories. They're probably the only thing that will save you tonight."

The police car starts driving through a thick eerie mist on a gravel road in the woods out of town. Allyson knew exactly where they were going. Crystal was pressed up against the guy who apparently was her friend while stuck in an asylum. And there was a crazy doctor with a broken arm monologuing as he drove them all to Laurie Strode's house.
"... I've never heard him speak you see," Sartain looks at the girls in the rear-view mirror, "Despite all my encouragements... he remains unresponsive. Even when you two were in a room together the best we got was him writing to you."
"You can't just force him to speak, man. Even as a kid I got that," Crystal says. She looks up at the face of the killer, he looked almost asleep with his head leaning on the window. Michael's eyes were closed and he looked peaceful, his arms were folded in his lap with the mask over the top of his large hands.
Sartain sighs and shakes his head; he didn't understand why they didn't understand what he was talking about.
Allyson gets an idea and smiles a little at Crystal who gives her a look of confusion.
"He spoke to us," Allyson states.
"He spoke to you?" Sartain questions.
"Yeah... uhm..." Allyson looks at Crystal for support, "When he murdered our friend..."
"Oh yeah..." Crystal decides to go with it, "He saw us and he spoke to us."
"What did he say?" Sartain asks with interest.
"One word," Allyson says.
"What?" Sartain asks.
"Let us go and we will tell you what he said."
"You must tell me. I must know what he said."
"Let us go and we will tell you what he said. Just stop the car and we'll tell you what he said."
Sartain groans and slams on the breaks. Crystal lurches forward and hits her head on the grate separating them from each other, she lets out an 'ow!' and rubs her forehead. She glares at the doctor then looks over at Michael, he starts to stir out of his slumber. Crystal tries her best to remain calm and looks back at the crazy doctor.
Sartain faces the girls once more and looks between them, "What was the word? Was it the sister's name? Judith?"
The girls remain silent and just stare at the doctor.
"Or was it your name Crystal?"
All three hear muffled breathing. Crystal could feel Michael move next to her and grab the mask. Michael puts on the mask and looks down at Crystal. Allyson and Crystal both slowly turn their heads to look at Michael.
"What was the word?" Sartain asks with irritation.
"FUCK!" Crystal yells and pulls out a pocketknife from her tote bag, she was no longer calm. Michael tilts his head at the girl then his head snaps forward to look at Sartain through the rear-view mirror.
"Michael!" Sartain greets with a smile.
Michael kicks the seat in front of him and makes Sartain hit his head on the steering wheel. He kicks Sartain four times; on the fourth Sartain's head hits the horn.
The girls sit there scared and mesmerised. Crystal keeps her knife poised to stab Michael need be.
Michael opens the door and exits the car. He opens the driver's side door and drags Sartain's body out the seat and a few meters from the car. Allyson takes this opportunity to leave the car and run into the woods in terror. Crystal chases after her but stops and tries to regain her breath.
"Allyson come back!" Crystal yells into the night. Crystal puts her knife back into the tote bag and stands next to the car breathing shakily. "Stress and diabetes don't mix, man..." She looks over to Michael and Sartain with an expression of fear.
Sartain stares up at Michael with tears in his eyes, "S-say something..."
Michael looks up to meet Crystal's nervous gaze and, without breaking eye contact, he stomps down on Sartain's head, breaking the skull and leaving brain matter and blood on the dirt. Crystal covers her mouth and nose to try and block out the smell. She finds herself walking towards Michael and the body, she didn't want to but couldn't stop. She looks down at the crushed skull of the crazy doctor, she gets a flash of a memory run through her head.
"Uhm... H-Hey Michael," Crystal asks without looking at Michael. She wanted to strike up a conversation to hopefully buy her some time.
No response from The Shape.
Michael looks off into the woods where Allyson went, then back to Crystal.
"She knows this place better than I do... I think... Anyway, her grandma lives around here," Crystal says, "Y-You actually know her yourself apparently."
Michael tilts his head the other way.
"Does the name Laurie Strode ring a bell to you?" Crystal asks.
Michael remains silent but starts to walk back to the car.
"Hey! Don't leave me out here!" Crystal follows him and jumps into the passenger side of the car. She seriously didn't want to be left out in the woods all alone on a cold Halloween night where she could pass out and never be found, she'd rather be in a car with a murderer who... apparently was her friend when she was in a Sanitorium at a young age.
Michael simply stares at Crystal as she buckles her seatbelt. He looks out the windscreen and starts the car.
"Hawkins!" a voice exclaims from the radio.
Michael's head snaps in the direction of the voice and he punches the radio, breaking it instantly. Crystal's breath hitches as she watches Michael take his hand out of the speaker and flex his fingers. He catches her staring and Crystal faces forward again.
Crystal looks through the glovebox and she finds a pen and notebook. "Hey look what I found," she holds up the items with a gleeful expression.
Michael grabs the notebook and pen then he starts to write. Crystal tilts her head in confusion. He hands the items back.
Crystal reads the notebook: "It's nice to see you again kid." His handwriting was better than what she remembered.
Michael starts to move the car forward down the road again, leaving Doctor Sartain's corpse to decompose on the side of the road.
"I-It's nice to see you again too Michael," Crystal says. Michael glances at her and ruffles her hair, earning him a smile in response.
She had grown. Michael thought that she looked beautiful. She still had the same smile she had when she was a kid. She was still the kind-hearted soul that made him feel human.
Michael had found his angel.

"Any word?" Ray calls out to the police car. He walks down the porch steps with his gun in hand – just in case. "Any word on Allyson?" he waves his hand to try and get attention from the people inside the vehicle. "Hey!" he knocks on the tinted glass window. He growls and opens the door to find one cop with a slashed open throat, another had his head cut off and turned into a grotesque jack-'o-lantern. Ray starts panicking and backs away from the vehicle.
Crystal watches as Michael walks in casually and uses a windchime to choke Ray. She tries not to cry out but feels a pang of guilt for the man's death. Ray shoots his little gun once in an attempt to make his attacker flee; he keeps holding on. Michael then eventually drops the body on the ground and tilts his head as if to say: "That was easy."
Crystal drops down from her hiding spot in a tree and walks over, "I'm so sorry Ray..." she grabs his wrists and crosses his arms over his chest.
"RAY!"
Michael perks his head in the direction of the door of the house where the voice came from.
"That sounded like Laurie..." Crystal whispers.
Michael walks towards the house with new intent.
"H-Hey! What am I supposed to do?" Crystal asks.
Michael stops and turns around; he stares at Crystal then points away from the house.
"You seriously don't expect me to wander around in the dark cold night all alone where I could pass out from lack of glucose do you Michael?" Crystal asks.
Michael sighs and walks towards the police vehicle. He pulls a jacket off one of the corpses and throws it at Crystal who catches it clumsily. He points away from the house again and then continues to walk towards the house. Crystal watches as he punches a window open.
Crystal huffs and puts the bloody jacket on. Shestarts to walk off back towards the town, down Laurie Strode's impossibly longdriveway.
