Blue Walker! You're Under Arrest!

Blue and Johnny were still sitting on the blanket in Kissin' Field and they were still... well, kissing! Suddenly there came a high pitched noise across the field and it seemed to be coming from the highway.

"Are those police sirens?" Johnny asked in a nervous tone.

"There was probably a noise complaints from someone nearby" Blue shrugged. "No big deal! It happens more than you'd think around here."

"Okay..." Johnny said, still a little anxious.

Blue took notice and kissed his neck to put his nerves at ease.

"Quit it!" Johnny giggled.

"Mmm... no!" Blue said before continuing to kiss him and run her hands up and down his arms.

"God, Blue! Your hands are soft!" Johnny moaned.

"I've been keeping them that way for a boy like you, babe!" She told him.

Johnny tangled his fingers in her long black hair and kissed her mouth. She began to french kiss him and clearly knew what she was doing. As her tongue entered his mouth, Johnny's eyes rolled into his head.

So this is what it's like to French a girl...? He thought All I can say is... Ooh-la-la!

It was perfect, Blue and Johnny were getting closer than ever. The mood was steamy, the night was enchanting and everything in the world felt right. At least until...

"BLUE WALKER! YOU'RE UNDER ARREST!" A voice hollered.

🎸😥🎸

Meanwhile back at the party Allison had just told Cry-Baby the truth about where Blue went...

"I'LL KILL HIM!" Cry-Baby shouted, getting ready to storm out of the party and over to Kissin' Field.

"Cry-Baby! Stop it!" Allison told him. "You're overeacting again!"

"Overacting?! Our daughter could be getting felt up by that snot-nose punk!" Cry-Baby told her. "We could end up being the in-laws of that lousy, no-good, shaggy-head twerp!"

"And what if Blue won't let him do that? Did you ever consider that as a possibility?" Allison told him. "Your daughter is twelve years old, Wade. And she's always gonna be your little girl, but wither you want to acknowledge it or not, she's growing up! She's not a little girl anymore! She can handle herself! You need to learn to trust her to take care of herself!"

"But if she learns to do that, she won't need me anymore!" Cry-Baby whimpered.

Allison held him close. "Cry-Baby, you're a phenomenal father and Blue knows it. She loves you and you'll always be her number one guy" she told him. "I'm only telling you the hard truth now, because I know if you don't learn to trust our daughter, you'll lose her forever."

Cry-Baby sighed heavily. "Maybe your right" he said, shrugging. "I mean, after all, the boy didn't do nothing to me. And I think I can safely say, we raised our girl right!"

Allison kissed his lips as he put his arms around her.

Just then Blue came rushing down the hill, shouting for them. "Mama! Daddy! We got trouble!" She yelled.

"SWEET MOTHER OF ELVIS! SHE'S BEEN IMPREGNATED!" Cry-Baby screamed, he ran towards Blue and held her close. "Don't worry, baby girl! Daddy will handle it! Go to the house and fetch Daddy's rifle so he can kill that no-good, miserable, hypersexual son of bit--""

"I'm not pregnant, Dad!" Blue told him, annoyed.

"Oh! Well... go get my gun anyway!" Cry-Baby told her, still pissed at Johnny.

"Wade!" Allison shouted.

"Allison!" He retorted.

"Blue Walker! Hold it right there!"

The Walker family turned to see a trio of policemen running down the hill. Johnny was trailing behind them, trying to stop them.

"Leave her alone!" Johnny told them as one of the cops held him back. "She didn't even do anything!"

"What's going on here?" Allison asked.

"We have a warrant for the arrest of one Ruth Walker, better known as Blue!" Announced one cop.

"On what charges?" Cry-Baby asked.

"Assault!" Answered the beefy cop. "And we can now add resisting arrest to that!"

"Assult?" Cry-Baby asked "That's preposterous!"

"We have all the proof we need!" The skinny cop said. "Young Miss Becky Prudeman is sitting at the police station covered in bruises as we speak!"

"Officers, please!" Allison told them "Our daughter is twelve years old! Surely there must be some kind of--"

"I'm sorry, but the law see's no age limit!" The third cop interrupted. "I'm afraid we're going to have to take her in." He pulled out his hand cuffs.

🎸💙🎸

Blue was brought into the courtroom for her trial that very same night. Cry-Baby, Allison and the gang came with her to ensure she would not go to jail. Conner, Snaredrum, Susie-Q, Kiki and Johnny tagged along for support.

"This is wrong!" Johnny said to Kiki. "She wasn't anywhere near Becky Prudeman! She was with me the entire time! I'll be a witness if I have to!"

"Won't do any good even if you did" Conner told him. "Blue's a Drape and around here the legal system ain't so easy on Drapes."

"That's messed up!" Johnny snapped. "Drapes are people too! Blue deserves just as much of a chance to prove her innocence as everyone else!"

"Try to telling that to the judge!" Susie-Q said.

"Who is the judge in this trail anyway?" Allison asked.

"Not sure" Cry-Baby shrugged.

Just then the Bailiff announced the judge as he walked in.

"All rise for the honorable Judge Baldwin Prudeman!" The Bailiff said.

"Aw crap!" Cry-Baby and Allison said in unison.

"Prudeman?" Johnny asked "As in...?"

"As in Becky's old man!" Conner nodded.

"And the man who hates the Walker family with a searing passion" Kiki muttered.

"Be seated" Baldwin told the crowd. "Ruth Walker, you stand before this courtroom accused of assault and resisting arrest. How do you plea?"

"Not guilty!" Blue told him. "I couldn't have hit Becky Prudeman! I wasn't anywhere near her all night!"

Baldwin nodded but didn't seem to be remotely interested in what Blue had to say.

"Prosecutor, you may call your first witness!" Baldwin said.

Becky's attorney, a sickly thin man in a suit with a nose that resembled a vulture's beak, stood up.

"I call my client, Rebecca Prudeman to the stand!" He announced.

The doors to the courtroom opened dramatically and in stepped Becky Prudeman. She clearly had red marks on her face and bruises, as well as her eye which was blackened and a bright shade of purple. She approached the witness stand with gusto, making sure her face was well on display for everyone to see.

She doesn't seem abused! Johnny thought angrily. It seems like she wants attention!

"Miss Prudeman" said the Attorney "Can you recount the moment Miss Walker assaulted you."

"Oh, I don't know if I can..." Becky said, helplessly. "It was all so horrible! I almost died!"

"Can you try?" The Attorney asked.

"Well, if you insist!" Becky's mood perked up a bit.

"For Christ sake!" Johnny mumbled, rolling his eyes.

"It was just earlier this evening, I was on my way home from the talent show at the Baltimore Country Club" Becky told her story. "I was nearly on my block when I saw it! A poor helpless kitten stuck in a tree! So being the selfless and caring person my father, Judge Baldwin, raised me to be, I climbed the tree to save the dear little creature!"

"And what happened next?" asked the Attorney.

"Well, I had just finished getting the kitty out of the tree and was preparing to take it home and nurse it back to health, when Blue Walker appeared from behind the tree" Becky gave the fakest shudder Johnny had ever seen. "The way she looked at me! It will haunt me for the rest of my days!"

"And then...?" The Attorney pressed on.

"She... she yelled at me" Becky said in saddened voice. "She said I was a Square Yuppie and that she was sick of me living like I was so high and mighty. Then she shoved me to the ground and threw a nearby rock at my face! And even after that she jumped on me and punched my face repeatedly!"

"I object!" Cry-Baby yelled, standing up.

"You can't object" Baldwin told him. "You're not a lawyer!"

"I still object!" Cry-Baby shouted.

"You're out of order!" Baldwin yelled.

"No, I am defending my daughter!" Cry-Baby told him. "The soda machine in the hall is out of order!"

"It's true!" Conner nodded. "I tried to get an orange soda and the damn thing took my dollar!"

"Order! I will have order in my court!" Baldwin slammed his gavel on the desk.

"Prosecutor, please continue?" Baldwin told the Attorney.

"Judging by the clearly visible injuries on my clients face and her testimony, I'd say we have all we need, your honor!"

"But I wasn't anywhere near her!" Blue protested "She's lying! I couldn't have don't!"

Baldwin banged his gavel again. "One more outburst from you, Miss Walker and I will hold you in contempt!" He told her, crossly.

As Blue hung her head, Johnny stood up in her defense.

"But she's telling the truth!" Johnny told Baldwin. "She was with me all evening!"

Baldwin shot Johnny a look. "Are you willing to testify to that?" He asked the boy.

Johnny looked at Blue and gave her a reassuring smile. "Yes!" He answered.

Johnny approached the bench and Becky's Attorney stepped forward to question him.

"Mr. Davier, my client says that you were at the talent show at the Baltimore Country Club earlier this evening? Is that correct?" The Attorney asked him.

"Yes..." Johnny mumbled. "But I left afterwards and Blue picked me up to go to Turkey Point and watch her sing! We had a lot of fun!"

He shot Becky a smug look as he said that last part. He knew Becky would be pissed to know he liked hanging out with Blue. Johnny bit back a smile as Becky rolled her eyes and huffed.

Keep rolling your eyes! Johnny thought. Maybe you'll see an unused brain somewhere back there!

"And at what time did Miss Walker pick you up?" The Attorney continued.

"Uh... I didn't really check..." Johnny said "I left the Country Club sometime after four o'clock and walked down to the highway, where Blue picked me up. I think we might've met up at around... four-thirty? It took me twenty minutes to walk there."

"And was Miss Walker walking when she met you?" The Attorney asked.

"No, she pulled up on her motorcycle" Johnny answered.

"Miss Prudeman, can you tell me what was the time when Blue Walker attacked you?" The Attorney asked, turning to Becky.

"I believe it was around four o'clock!" Becky answered.

"No, it wasn't!" Johnny protested. "She's lying! She was at the Country Club watching me sing!"

"Order!" Baldwin glared at Johnny, slammed his gavel down.

"But there's no way she could've left the Country Club and made it to her neighborhood in that amount of time!" Johnny said. "And Blue was on her motorcycle coming to pick me up at the club but she met me halfway! She was nowhere near Becky!"

"You said you left the country club, allegedly, at four o'clock?" the Attorney reminded him. "The exact same time as Becky Prudeman was getting attacked by Blue Walker. And then Miss Walker met you on the highway at around four-thirty? On a motorcycle?"

"Yes!" Johnny exclaimed.

"So tell me, Mr. Davier, do you think that it's impossible for Miss Walker to have driven on her motorcycle to Miss Prudeman's location where she beat her senselessly and then drive to your location and pick you up in half an hour?"

"Well... I-I mean..." Johnny's mind raced. The Attorney had a point, it wasn't impossible. But Blue didn't do it! He knew she didn't! She was innocent!

"Mr. Davier, need I remind you that you're under oath?" The Attorney reminded him. "Answer the question..."

"Well... I suppose it wouldn't be impossible...?" Johnny answered truthfully. He had no choice, he was under oath.

"No further questions, your honor!" The Attorney grinned.

"I've heard enough!" Baldwin said. "Miss Walker, I find you guilty of physical assault and of resisting arrest!"

"No!" Johnny cried.

Baldwin ignored him. "And since you are twelve years of age, we cannot send you to jail. So, Blue Walker, instead I sentence you to rehabilitation at the Baltimore Finishing School For Juvenile Delinquent Girls for the next three years!"

"Finishing School?!" Blue exclaimed in horror. "Aw! Can't you just be merciful and give me the death penalty?"

"NO! NO!" Cry-Baby shouted in panic. "Finishing school is fine!" He looked at Blue and whispered "I lost my folks to the electric chair, I'm not losing you too!"

"Take her away!" Baldwin demanded, slamming his gavel down.

The bailiff and another gaurd walked towards Blue to take her away, but Allison beat them to it. She raced her way to Blue and wrapped her daughter in her arms.

"NO!" Allison yelled at them. "You're not incarcerating my baby in some finishing school for three years!"

"Allison..." Cry-Baby tried to calm her down. He agreed with his wife above all else, but he also didn't want to get his family in more trouble than they already were.

"No!" Allison told her husband before turning to Baldwin. "You're not doing your job! You're just using our daughter to get back at me for dumping you back in high school!"

Allison glared at Baldwin and Baldwin glared between Allison and Cry-Baby.

"Bailiff, get Miss Walker out of my courtroom!" Baldwin told the guards.

The guards had to pry Blue from a tearful Allison's arms, but they managed to yank the young girl free and out of the courtroom and into the awaiting cop cruiser.

Cry-Baby held Allison as she sobbed for her daughter. She was overwhelmed when the cops came to Turkey Point to arrest Blue, she felt horrible when she realized her vengeful Ex-boyfriend was the judge and her heart dropped when he sentenced Blue to live in a finishing school for three years! Over all, she felt responsible for this whole thing!

Allison wasn't the only one who felt partially responsible. Johnny felt like he screwed up with his testimony, he wanted to help Blue, but he couldn't lie if he was under oath. But seeing Blue's mother fall apart from across the courtroom, Johnny felt he should've just lied, regardless of the consequences.

Allison finally sniffled and wiped away her tears. "I'm fine" she told Cry-Baby. "Uh... why don't you head back to the house on your motorcycle and see if you can't find a loop hole to all this. I'll take the car and be there shortly."

"Alright, Sugar" Cry-Baby kissed her cheek. "You sure you're okay?"

"Yeah" Allison said "Y'know me, I'm just overly emotional in these situations."

"Alright, drive safe!" Cry-Baby said, walking out of the nearly deserted courtroom.

Once her husband left, Allison turned to Johnny and forced a smile.

"Can I offer you a ride home?" She asked him.

Johnny forced a smile. "Yes please, Mrs. Walker" he said politely.

"Mrs. Walker was my mother-in-law" She smirked. "Call me Allison!"

🎸😥🎸

Allison drove Johnny to his house in the suburbs of Baltimore. She pulled up to the curb of the single family bungalow Johnny shared with his single mom.

"Thanks again for the drive, Mrs-- I mean, Allison" Johnny thanked her.

"It's no problem, Johnny" The blond lady smiled.

Johnny bit his lip, thinking of what to say to her. He could tell by her expression that she was worried for her daughter and he felt so guilty that he couldn't do more for her.

"I'm really sorry about what happened in that courtroom" Johnny said as sincerely as possible. "I'm scared for her too. I just wish I could've done something more to help her."

Allison turned to look at him. "Johnny, are you kidding me?" She asked him. "I saw how you got up on that witness bench and told them what happened. You had the guts to stand up and testify on Blue's behalf! That was an incredibly noble thing you did."

"But I didn't change anything!" Johnny stared down at his shoes.

"But you tried to!" Allison reminded him. "You tried to help Blue, you came to her aid when no one else would! The fact that you tried means more to our family and Blue than you'll ever know. Y'know, I had a good feeling about you from the start."

"Really?" Johnny smiled. "How'd you know?"

"Call it a motherly instinct" she grinned.

Johnny nodded, biting his lip.

"Did I say something wrong?" Allison noticed his shift in mood.

"No, it's not you" Johnny shook his head. "I just remembered this fight I had with my mother before I left the country club for Turkey Point. I asked for her permission to go see Blue and she said no, so we got into a huge argument. She's still getting over her divorce from my Dad and I said a lot of crappy things to her that I shouldn't have. Now I don't know what I'm gonna say when I walk in there."

Allison nodded, listening intently. "Johnny, I've never met your mother and I don't know a whole lot about divorce. But both me and Cry-Baby know what it's like to grow up without parents. So the only advice I can offer you is, tell her how you feel and let her know you love her. Since you're lucky enough to have at least one parent left that cares for you, make sure you tell them what you need to before it's too late."

"You're right, Allison" Johnny whispered. "Thank you."

Allison hugged him before he got out of the car and onto the curb.

"I'll try and talk to Becky tomorrow and see if I can convince her to straighten everything out" Johnny told her through the passenger window.

"And I'll let you know if we find anything to get Blue released" Allison told him. "Have a good night, Johnny."

"Bye, Allison!" Johnny waved as she drove away.

Johnny walked up the stone walkway of his house and noticed all the lights were off except porch light.

Thinking his mother was asleep, he gently opened the door and shut it quietly. When he turned on the living room light, he was surprised to see his mother was just waking up on the sofa.

"Johnny?" She rubbed her eyes. "Baby, is that you?"

"Yeah, Mom" Johnny said softly. "I'm home."

Johnny was expecting her to be fuming mad or to give him an icy stare of disapproval for running off like that. But instead Miss Davier sprung off the coach and wrapped him in a hug and started kissing his cheeks.

"My God, I was so worried about you!" She brushed his hair out of his face. "I'm so sorry, sweetheart! About what happened at the Club! I was just so stressed about everything and..." She trailed off and sighed "Are you hungry? Did you eat anything? I made your favorite! Macaroni and cheese! Let me go fix you a plate!"

"It's alright, mom" Johnny said "I just wanted to say I'm sorry for what I said at the Club. I was thinking about what I wanted to do and what I lost by moving here. I forgot to remember all the stuff you went through and to get us here. I know you wanted me to be happy, but to be honest I want you to be happy as well."

"No I'm the adult, I should've been thinking about how this split between me and your father and this whole packing up and moving thing would effect you" Miss Davier told him. "I just got so caught up in the heartache of leaving your Dad and trying to get away from my old life, that I should've remembered you. I shouldn't have forced you into something you didn't want to do. I just thought if I could get you to make friends your own age that were in a good crowd, you wouldn't feel so alone and you'd adjust to everything better. I shouldn't have tried to shove all these new things down your throat at once."

"I know you were only trying to help me, Mom" Johnny hugged her.

"I just want you to be happy" Miss Davier said "Now that you're father is gone, you're the only thing left that matters to me." She picked up a catalog from the coffee table "By the way I wanted to ask you, is this the guitar you've been saving up for?" She pointed to a sleek, black electric guitar in the magazine.

"Yeah" Johnny answered.

"Good, cause I bought it for you!" Miss Davier smiled. "To make up for your old one. I felt bad for what I did to it. Don't know what possessed me to smash it like that. It was in the heat of the moment, I guess. This one should be in next week."

"You didn't have to buy me a new guitar" Johnny shook his head.

"Yes, I did!" Miss Davier told him. "I love it when you play the guitar. I'm proud of you when you play! You're so good at it."

"Thanks, Mom" Johnny smiled as she kissed his forehead.

"So, how was Turkey Point?" Miss Davier asked, curious. "How is Blue doing?"

"Uh... she got arrested." Johnny shrugged.

Johnny told his mother all about what happened earlier that night. About how he preformed with Blue and how Becky had lied and set her up and how Blue was sentenced to a snobby finishing school. But he made sure to exclude the parts where they were making out, he figured his mother had had enough surprises for one day.

"Oh, that poor young girl..." Miss Davier shook her head. "Her parents must be frantic with worry."

"I love her, Mom" Johnny told her. "I really do. She's an amazing person."

"I'm happy for you, Darling" Miss Davier smiled. "Y'know, all things considered she seemed like a sweet, polite young lady. Did you at least get a kiss from her before they took her away?" His mother chuckled.

Johnny thought back to when he and Blue were in Kissin' Fields. But he couldn't tell his mother he kissed a girl with that much tongue that quick!

"Uh... I might've?" He shrugged.

"Good for you, sweetheart!" Miss Davier kissed his cheek. She stroked his hair and looked at him with a soft look in her eyes. "My God... Why didn't you tell me you were growing up this fast?" She got up to go to the kitchen. "I'm gonna go heat you up some leftovers!"

"Okay..." Johnny said.

He stared out their patio door and up at the starry sky above, thinking of Blue. He had to go to Becky Prudeman, he had to convice her to tell them the truth. He had to get Blue out of there, he had to help her... somehow.

AN: *Gasp!* Blue's been imprisoned in a Finishing School, Johnny's lonely and Cry-Baby and Allison are helpless against the Baltimore legal system?! There is a disturbance in this Drape force! What chaos! What turmoil! What a kerfuffle! If you don't know what kerfuffle is, look it up! Right after you comment and hit dat!
