Chapter 5
(Guys these earlier chapters might seem pretty immature. It's cuz I wrote them a long time ago but I promise it gets better after the first few chapters)
Harry's POV
After we got back to Hogwarts, we found Luna, Dean and Neville sitting in the common room playing exploding snap. Since term hadn't officially started yet, they were letting us sit in each other's common rooms so most of the time Luna, Cho and a few Hufflepuffs were in the Gryffindor common room.
"Hey, where were you guys? We looked everywhere," Neville asked.
"We went to visit my aunt and uncle," I told him as I sank into an armchair by the fire. I grinned as Luna won the game probably for the third time. We had found out that she was the best at it.
"Your aunt and uncle?" She said, furrowing her brow. "I thought they weren't nice people."
"Oh his uncle is not a nice person," Ginny told her. "The others were okay. They changed."
"That's good to know," she answered with a smile.
We sat there for an hour, just talking and catching up. It felt strange sitting here in the common room just like old times after we had been running across the country hunting horcruxes. But it felt good. Finally, the war truly felt like it was behind us. " So when are we going to Australia?" Ron asked after a while.
"Australia?" Neville's eyebrows shot up and the others had curious expressions pasted on their faces.
"Yeah, we need to go look for my parents there." Hermione told them. "Before the war, I wiped their memories so Voldemort couldn't get anything out of them."
"Oh," said Neville."Wait i think that's why McGonnagal wanted to see you. She wanted to know where you were. Something about an address?"
"You could've told us that sooner you know," said Ron as Hermione rushed out of the door and we quickly followed.

"Okay, so this your permit from the Minister," Professor McGonnagal was saying. We were all gathered in her office and she sat behind her desk. A memory of Dumbledore sitting there flashed in my mind but I quickly pushed it away.
Kingsley Shacklebolt had been made the Minister for Magic after the war and he had arranged for us to go to Australia, allowing us to use magic there."And this is your parents' address, Miss Granger. Wendell and Monica are currently working as dentists in Sydney. Hopefully, the charm we discussed will revive their memories. There is also a possibility that they have already regained some of their memory as our sources tell us."
"O...okay Professor, "Hermione whispered, her voice suddenly small. I could only imagine what she must be feeling. She'd be seeing her parents after a year and there was a possibility that they still might not remember her "And where will we stay?"
"You will be staying at the Rosewood hotel for the night but in the morning you have to try looking for your parents. Once you find them you can either continue staying at the hotel or go with your parents."
"Thank you so much, professor," Hermione nodded as we turned to leave.
"Good luck, Miss Granger," she said and I could see a hint of a smile forming on her lips as she watched us go.

An hour later we were standing outside Hogwarts, our clothes packed into suitcases, and were ready to disapperate to Sydney. Together, we turned on the spot. I felt the familiar feel of being pushed into a rubber tube and squeezed out of the other end. When my feet hit solid ground, I opened my eyes to see that we had landed in a small garden filled with trees.
"Uh... you guys? Ginny asked. "We landed in someone's house." She was struggling to keep her voice low and calm. I couldn't blame her though. Any time now, the owner could come and call the police. Of course, we'd be able to get out of that but still, I was hoping that we did not have to.
"Hold on," I said. "I think I brought the cloak." I quickly retrieved it from my rucksack and let it rest in my hands for a moment. The fabric was soft and I felt like it was woven out of water itself.
"Okay, it'll only cover two of us now since we're pretty tall," I said, looking at Ron. "Hermione and I will get under it and Ginny and you can make up an excuse and ask for directions. It'll look suspicious if all four of us stay."
I threw the cloak over Hermione and myself and at that minute a man dressed in a black suit and a young woman with her hair perfectly curled and wearing a pink formal dress walked out of the door. At first, they didn't notice us but then the woman saw Ron and Ginny and nudged her husband. I had assumed they would have been a little more surprised to see a couple of teenagers in their garden, but the woman remained perfectly composed, a kind smile taking over her face.
"Hank, you know these people?"she asked and her husband turned to look at Rom and Ginny.
He shook his head. "No, I don't," he said. "Who the bloody hell are you two?" He was a bald man, in his forties from the looks of it.
"Oh, sir," Ron began. "We are so terribly sorry for this. But you see my sister and I have been walking the streets for days now, looking for our parents and well my sister got dehydrated and she was about to faint and I just thought may be you could help?"
The woman moved forward and felt Ginny's forehead, "Hmm She's awfully clammy. Her skin is burning so I'd say she has a fever."
"F__fever?" Ron stammered. He was acting pretty good and I thought that the stinging jinx I cast at the lsst minute had worked perfectly too. "But she's my only sister! We're from England you see. And we were told our parents were forced to leave us there and that we could find them here. We have been walking for days with no luck. GINNY YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME ALONE LIKE THIS. YOU JUST CAN'T!" I had to say, he was over-reacting there.. He laid it pretty thick just there.
There was no way we could go in as the door was closing. So Hermione and I sat down under a tree glad for the shade. After what felt like hours Ron came out and hurried over to us looking flustered.
"Guys, that woman is so fussy. Ginny's fever is not going down, seeing as I can't perform the counter-jinx in-front of them so we're stuck for a bit. Anyway, Hermione give me the paper with your parents' address. Maybe they can give us directions or something."
Hermione gave it to him and he ran back inside. He came back a while later with Ginny and the man: Hank, and his wife. The woman was saying something frantically to Ron. We inched closer to hear.
"Now dear, I'm so sorry but I couldn't do much about the fever. I could if you didn't have to go. But make her take these twice today and hopefully it'll go down. Oh and this is for you." She gave a box of something that looked like some of Hagrid's rock cakes, and I had to smirk at that.
"Come on," Ron whispered, and we made our way towards the narrow iron gates that guarded the house but turned to see the woman hugging Ginny and giving her what looked like her phone number.

"This room is great," Ron said.
We had found the Rosewood hotel and were now in our room. It was a suite, with one room for Ginny and Hermione and the other for Ron and I. I had to say it was brilliant as I saw Ron wolfing down some snacks from the mini-bat. After a while, I joined in too. Too bad we'd be leaving in the morning.
