Hermione was so excited that Saturday afternoon. It was the day they would be double dating at 'The Magic Kitchen'. "You seem very...excitable my love" Severus Smirked. "Going out to dinner with the love of my life, my best friend and his girlfriend makes me happy, I can't help it!" She beamed like a child on Christmas morning. Severus rolled his eyes.
"I'm just annoyed we have a Weasley there." Severus groaned. "Oh Come on Sev, Ginny is nothing like Ron or the twins. And besides you're always annoyed" Hermione teased
This was true and Severus knew it so he did not really have a leg to stand on in this argument

"I can't wait to show you off my love, you look rather delectable I must say" Severus smirked snaking his arms around her waist and pulling Hermione to him. "Sev, we can't!" She giggled
Pulling away. "No quickies?" He said making a fake sad face. "No quickies tonight! I have just dolled myself up I don't wish to look like a sweaty night troll at dinner" Hermione grinned
Severus couldn't help but grin "oh my little night troll...." He pursed his lips gaining him a cold glare from Hermione.

They waited for Harry and Ginny outside the gates, and they didn't have to wait long
Ginny was always punctual even if Harry had that stupid 'wizard is never late' idea going on.
"Harry! Gin!" Hermione screeched with excitement causing Severus to shake his head in disbelief. "Hey Hermione, we're really looking forward to dinner" Harry said, Ginny just glared at Severus. She was unsure of all of this, to her he was the nasty dungeon bat.

"Miss Weasley" Severus smiled offering his hand, he sensed her mistrust towards him
"Call me Ginny Professor" she smiled shaking his hand, she felt like he might not be as bad as she previously thought. "Ginny, I know I am harsh in class but it's my profession, I'm sure Harry has made you aware of my situation with Hermione, I trust you will keep it to yourself and I hope that you do not see me as the same 'Git' outside of school" Severus smiled warmly.
Ginny nearly shat herself with shock.

Once they were far enough away from the castle they apparated into Hogsmeade
When they arrived Severus led them down alleyways in the hope of finding the darn place
"Where the hell is this place?" he moaned as they ended up where they started
"You must know where it is, you're the one who told Herms about it" Harry grinned
"I read about it in the daily prophet, I have not been there Harry" Severus grunted

Eventually they found the place and walked in through the doors "wow! This place really is gorgeous" Hermione said in awe. "It beats the leaky cauldron that's for sure" Harry added
There was a friendly young man waiting the tables who seemed to take a liking to Hermione.
He was a good looking lad, and he was keen to flirt with the young witch

"Welcome to The Magic Kitchen, my name is Diego, and I am your waiter for this evening he said proudly, trying to make eye contact with Hermione. This did not go unnoticed by Severus
who was biting his tongue. The boy passed them the menus and proceeded to inform them of the days 'specials'
"Today Our specials are confit of duck with an orange sauce, slow roasted lamb shanks with rosemary marmalade and linguine with scallops and lemon."
After they ordered their food, they talked for a short while before their drinks arrived

"Wine?" Ginny asked in amazement. "Why you are the clever one" Severus smirked
"But surely that's not allowed..." Ginny looked to Hermione for reassurance but found she was half way through guzzling her wine. "Just this once" Severus smiled. His smile didn't last long when Diego returned to the table to put the cutlery and place mats down. Diego fixed his eyes on Hermione and gave her a wink. Hermione looked at Severus and grinned, she found it amusing. "Why is he flirting with you?" Severus seethed. "I don't know!" Hermione explained, "you seem like you are enjoying the attention?" He spat. Hermione hated it when he was jealous, he knew she loved him why couldn't he just trust her?

"Sev, you are being immature and insecure! I'm not even remotely interested in him!" She snapped giving him an irritated glare. "Sorry" Severus mumbled under his breath. "I love you, and only you..." Hermione smiled bringing her lips to his proudly. Harry was grinning and Ginny had her mouth hanging open to catch flies. Diego however, was standing at the bar looking disappointed. "Enough proof for you?" Hermione chuckled. Severus looked up at Diego and smirked. Hermione wondered if boys ever did grow up.
