Hermione was furious, and very close to boiling point. It only worsened her anger when she saw the twins in the hallway laughing about what happened at breakfast
She was going to give them a piece of her mind

"I'm really glad you think that was funny, if you two understood half of what He's gone through in his life you wouldn't dream to be so cruel!" She raged
"Why are you sticking up for that greasy git Hermione? Do you fancy him or something?" George teased
"No George, but I work with him everyday and I've got to know him as a person, and trust me he's misunderstood" she stated proudly
"Alright calm down" Fred laughed
"I will not calm down! And believe me if you do anything like that again I will hex you myself!"
Hermione seethed in disgust
"Ok ok, we're sorry... It was just a joke" Fred explained
"Don't apologise to me Fred, apologise to Professor Snape" she sighed

"Is he really upset?" George asked concerned
"Did he cry?" Fred joked pretending to cry
"No he didn't cry. Professor Snape isn't upset by stupidity... But he is furious" Hermione lied
"We'd probably better apologise then.." Fred told George
Hermione stormed off, she wanted to find Harry to vent

She turned the corner to go to the dormitory and Severus stood there
"Did you hear any of that?" Hermione stuttered
"I did Miss Granger" he glared at her as Fred and George looked on nosily
"Follow me, Miss Granger that aggression was unacceptable" he boomed
Hermione followed him willingly leavening the twins in shock
"Someone's in trouble" George smirked

Severus led Hermione to an secret passage way behind a painting
He pushed her against the door devouring her with his lips
"You are the kindest, most amazing girl I have ever met Hermione" he smiled
"I love you Severus, I had to fight your corner" she smiled giving him a gentle peck on his thin lips
"Thank you so much, I never thought I'd have someone to stand up for me... I'm glad you didn't tell them I was emotional about the incident" he said stroking her face

"Sev, when you cry I'm not going to broadcast it everywhere, it's personal" she sighed
"And I'm grateful, I can't have my cold hearted persona tarnished now can I?" He chuckled
Hermione pulled him close to her body "We can't, not here" Severus grinned
"Who says?" Hermione whispered into his ear
"You like to make it hard for me don't you Miss Granger?" He quizzed in his silky voice
"I think I already have..."
"Indeed you have.... But we can't" he sighed

"Is better if I sneak out first" Hermione smiled kissing him goodbye

"Severus, you really need to get that checked out" Hermione cried with laughter
"Do not ridicule my flatulence Miss Granger" he growled
Hermione straightened herself out "Sorry my love" she smirked and left
