Hermione didn't mean to be horrible to him, but he made her feel like nothing earlier
And all she was doing was caring, after she saw how troubled he looked at dinner

'Well he can go fart himself' she joked in her thoughts
'20 farts from Slytherin'
She laughed and managed to cheer herself up

She went down to the feast, she didn't feel hungry but at least she could hang with Harry
As she walked towards the door to the great hall she bumped into Snape who was also entering the hall.
He went bright red when he saw her and went back towards the dungeons
'Oh no what have I done?' She asked herself

When she eventually made it to her table she sat down and told Harry what had happened
He laughed so hard he spat out his drink
"Oh Hermione, now he knows you were there! This is the best thing ever"

"No it's not, he hates me even more now"
"Come on, he wouldn't be so embarrassed if he didn't like you, and he never punished you at all for being out of class or fartgate" Harry smiled

"But he was horrible to me when I went to see him before" Hermione explained
"Well maybe that's just his way of playing it cool, and besides he's always horrible! Have you ever seen Snape be nice?"
Harry had a point

"Right! That's it! I'm going to apologise, get this over with" she pushed her chair back and rose from the table, Harry tried to stop her
"This is not a good idea Hermione, the mood he's in he will hex you"
"I need to do this Harry"
"Hermione!!! Sleep on it!!" Harry sighed in defeat.

Running down toward the dungeon she tried to pep herself up
Her confidence was at an all time low as it is, 'you can do this Hermione' she told herself in her mind
She stood by his door and lifted her hand to knock but she couldn't
She swallowed and took a deep breath in and finally managed to give a small knock

"Come in" called the velvety voice from inside
She opens the door and he was sat at his desk, as soon as he saw her he scowled
"What do you want Miss Granger?" He grunted
"I have come to apologise Professor Snape, I was disrespectful and I shouldn't have taken my own personal problems out on you. I'm sorry" she tried to smile
"Very well Miss Granger, I accept your apology"
"You do?" Hermione beamed
"Yes, now leave" he ordered
"Oh.. Ok Professor, I'm sorry if I disturbed you" she smiled, he could see the sadness in her eyes
She turned to the door and opened it
"Goodnight Professor" she said closing it behind her

"WAIT!" He shouted
Hermione peered around the door again "Yes?"
"You can write to me again...if you'd like.... If you want to" he said quietly not looking up at her from his papers
Hermione smiled and left

" 'Mione! Wait up!" Ron called out as she headed towards the library to read
"Hi Ron, what are you up to?" She smiled vacantly
"Nothing much, just heading to the dorms, you?" He asked
Hermione told him she was planning to go to the library to study
"Boring" he groaned
"Yes, Ronald some of us want an education" she joked
Ron laughed "Well, I'll see back in the common room later if you're not too late" he smiled and went on his way.
