Everyone gathered in the great hall for Dumbledore's speech, Hermione glanced at Severus who was stood beside the headmaster, he smirked at her and she looked away

"I am assuming that everyone has had a good Christmas break?" Dumbledore asked the hall
And everyone groaned in response
"This New Year, Hogwarts is taking part in something very exciting! A school trip!" The old man beamed, Hermione rolled her eyes.
"A select number of students, And staff will be going camping!" Harry looked at Hermione and laughed.
"The following students will be taking part on this trip...." He cleared his throat and continued
"Lavender Brown....Draco Malfoy....Hermione Granger.....Luna lovegood.... Neville Longbottom...Blaise Zambini.....Harry Potter....Ginny Weasley.... And Cho Chang"
"That's us going then" Hermione sighed
"This is so unfair" Fred and George said in unison
"So Ginny gets to go, but we can't.... I'm sending an owl to mum" Ron moaned
"Oh just get over it will you" Hermione sneered at the bloody weasel

"The trip will set off on New Year's Day. Now let the feast begin!" The old man smiled and took his seat. The tables filled with the usual breakfast buffet, Hermione decided to create a bacon sandwich out of some toast, bacon and a dash of brown sauce. She scoffed it like her life depended on it, Harry smeared butter and Marmite on his toast and poured some milk onto his cereal.

"Maybe you can share a tent with Sevvykins" Harry grinned
"Don't be stupid, how could be get away with that?" She rolled her eyes playfully
"Easy you are my tent mate and he sneaks in and I sneak out" he smirked
"I'm pretty sure I will forced to bunk with Luna or Ginny" she sighed
"Well I'm pretty sure the Professors won't be sharing tents...just saying" Harry shoved toast into his mouth
Hermione grinned, maybe this trip will be fun after all.
"Why are we even going on this stupid trip?" Harry asked
"It's probably Dumbledore's way of teaching us to do things without using magic" Hermione guessed

"Right, I'm going to McGonagall, I'm a teachers assistant for the day" Hermione grinned
"Good experience to have" Harry smiled
Hermione left the table and went to the transfiguration class room.
This was going to be a long day
