"Poppy. When will Hermione be discharged?" Severus asked the medi witch. "As soon as I have done a few checks, I need to cast a scanning spell, and also give her a few potions to take with her... Ones you will need to continue brewing for her daily" "what kind of potions?" Severus inquired. "One for morning sickness, and one for replenishing her iron levels." Poppy smiled and disappeared inside the curtained area. Severus decided to wait outside while she did her scanning. A few minutes passed before Poppy called Severus in. "What's wrong?" Hermione asked feeling rather worried. She looked at Severus who looked beside himself, he took Hermione's hand to reassure her. "Oh it's not bad news, quite the opposite." Poppy smiled. Hermione and Severus sighed with relief. "They are perfectly healthy, and developing well!" The medi witch beamed. "What do you mean they?" Severus asked in confusion. "You're having twins!!" Hermione looked at Severus and his mouth was hanging open. "Twins run in my family on my fathers side...." Hermione explained. Severus wrapped her into his arms and kissed her, "I'm so happy" Severus smiled.

Severus went to visit Dumbledore, he needed to find out how he could marry Hermione before she graduates. He entered the head masters office after using the password 'sherbet lemons'.
"Severus! What brings you here dear boy?" The old man smiled. "You knew of Hermione's condition didn't you? That's what you meant by consequences." "Yes, I did know. I knew for the past 3 months." The old man giggled. "Did you know she's carrying twins too?" Severus asked.
"Is she? No I didn't know that Severus. That's wonderful news!" Albus beamed with excitement throwing his arms around Severus and pulling him into a very awkward hug. Severus felt a wave of relief when Dumbledore released him from his grasp. "I cannot put into words how excited I feel, I love them both so much and I haven't even met them yet." He smiled. "You will make a fantastic father Severus, and I know that Lily would be so happy for you." Albus patted Severus on the back. "Albus, I want to marry Hermione before the babies arrive, I know it's not easy to make happen before she graduates but is there a way?" Severus asked desperately.

"I assumed this would become an issue so I took the liberty of informing the ministry of your relationship, they will not be taking any action against you due to the fact Hermione is with child and you are in a serious relationship. They permit you to marry, however as she is 17 she will need the permission of her parents." Albus explained, Severus listened intently.
"This is great news, I just worry how her parents will take the news." "That is something I cannot help you with. I will say that it's important that they enjoy the day they see their daughter marry, as sometime in the future they may not remember having her." Albus sighed.
"What do you mean by that? I don't need anymore if your hints!" Severus snapped.
"There may or may not come a day when she will be forced to erase their memories, I cannot tell you for what reason..and I also cannot tell you it is definite. I am hoping that it won't be the case." Albus said sadly. "I hope that situation doesn't arise Albus, it would break her heart."

Hermione was pleased that she could finally be discharged. Harry was there to collect her as she hadn't seen Severus in hours. "Let's get you to the great hall shall we? It's time for dinner." Harry nudged her in the arm and they went to have something to eat. They sat down at the Gryffindor table and for the first time in days Hermione ate like a horse. Severus was watching from the staff table, Hermione caught his eye and he smiled happily. Minerva looked at Hermione and then to Severus, "congratulations, I was in too much shock to say it before." She smiled and placed a hand on his arm. "Thank you Minerva." Severus gave the witch a small smile. "I will warn you though Severus, if you hurt that girl again I will hex you!" She gave him a serious glance.
