Hermione was sat in the great hall, eating her dinner and telling Harry about her conversation with Dumbledore
"Hey, Remember fart gate?" Fred grinned, his twin George bouncing up and down on his seat with excitement
"Yes I remember only too well" Harry laughed
"Well, you wait until Snape comes in for breakfast!!" George grinned, Hermione narrowed her eyes she knew they were up to something

"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?" She boomed in anger
"Bloody hell 'Mione keep your bush on" Ron laughed
"Just watch" Fred smirked and continued tucking in to his full English breakfast

Hermione watched as Severus came into the great hall and took a seat at the staff table
He filled his plate with a small amount of food and began to eat
"Now" Fred whispered to George

"Pffffffft" echoed though the hall, "Pffffffffffft" it continued, a few kids nearer the staff table sniggered. It was really boiling Hermione's piss
"Pfffffft" this time Professor McGonagall looked at Severus like she had just swallowed a turd
Dumbledore however had a glint in his eye and suppressed a grin
"Pfffffffffft" then the whole hall erupted into laughter
Severus got up from his chair and disappeared out of a side door near to where he sat
"A FART BOX? REALLY?" Hermione screamed and ran from the hall to find Severus

She ran down to the dungeons and walked in to the classroom without knocking
But he wasn't there, she went through into his quarters and heard his voice
"Go away" he sneered she could hear he was crying
She burst into his bedroom and there he was on his side sobbing
"Leave me alone" he cried, he was like a small child
Vulnerable, distraught even. Hermione's heart dropped seeing him like that
She went straight to him and got onto the bed next to him
"I don't want you here" he growled

"Severus, I'm not going anywhere. I love you" she told him wrapping her arms around him
"Go back to your little friends" he sneered burying his face in the pillow
"Fred and George were just being idiots Sev, don't push me away" she kissed the side of his neck
And held him close to her. "They're all laughing at me Hermione... They're all laughing at me again" he sobbed
"What do mean again? What aren't you telling me? Please?"
Severus turned to face her, his pained eyes broke her inside

"When I was a student here, they tormented me... Potter.... Black.... Lupin, all of them"
Hermione kissed his forehead, "Did they hurt you physically?"
"They beat me, hexed me, ridiculed me... Humiliated me, for years"
"Why?" Hermione asked unable to comprehend any of it
"Because I'm a freak"

"Forget about them, you're not a freak, you're amazing and they're not worth it, this is different from your school days Sev, it's just the twins playing a prank you know what they're like"
"I know, normally I would punish the bastards it's just...."
"It brought it all back to you, I know and I'm here"
Severus pulled Hermione close to him
"You won't leave me will you? like lily did.." He pleaded
"Lily? Harry's Mother Lily?" Severus nodded
"No, no Severus I won't I promise, not unless you want rid of me anyway" she joked
It made Severus laugh, Hermione wiped away his tears

"I'm going to give you some space so you can sort yourself out, the next time I see you I want you back in Arsehole Snape mode, punishing the twins, and putting fear into everyone as usual" she grinned. Severus smirked slightly, and she peeled herself from his arms giving his eyelids a tender kiss and left
