Jeongguk ran through the hallways of Bangtan high, fighting back tears and wiping the ones that escaped. He didn't know where he was going. He heard the bell ring, signalling the end of their lunch period. But Jeongguk didn't care. He kept taking hurried footsteps, head held down.

He couldn't believe what he'd heard. But it's nothing but possible. Taehyung did say that he was into Jessica,  even though he loved Jeongguk...if that even made sense. Maybe the liking Jessica part was a lie. But them sleeping together was totally possible.

It was just a rumour. Jeongguk kept telling himself that. But if it were true, things between him and Taehyung will have to end. And they've just gotten together. Everything was going so perfectly.

He suddenly bumped into a figure, which made him stumble back and lose balance.  He fell on his butt.

"Jeongguk!" A panicked voice said. "Are you alright?"

Jeongguk knew that voice more than his own. He looked up at Taehyung kneeling next to him. He held out his hand for Jeongguk to stand up.

Jeongguk reluctantly took it and stood up.

"Where are you going in such a hurry, bunny?" Taehyung smiled at Jeongguk and started wiping the dirt off of the younger's pants. "I was in the head master's office all day. I have to get the swimming coach  to sigh a document so after that we can hang"

Jeongguk's heart thumped wildly in his chest and his heart ached when he saw Taehyung look at him with the most endearing smile on his face, eyes crinkling at the edges.

Jeongguk remembered the way he used to love seeing Taehyung smile every morning. He woke up in the morning in hopes of seeing Taehyung smile at him. Then he waited throughout the school hours so in the evening he and Taehyung could hangout and he would be able to see his crush laugh.

"Jessica is pregnant" Jeongguk stated.

Taehyung's smile disappeared. "W-what?"

Taehyung's voice portrayed disbelief.

Jeongguk stepped towards Taehyung. "Tell me it's not true. Tell me it isn't you" he was almost crying.

Taehyung stared st him with wide eyes. "Jeongguk I don't know-"

Jeongguk didn't want to hear the rest. He ran away from Taehyung, who called his name after him.

Jeongguk didn't get to run too far. He bumped into someone else. Before the other person could fall, Jeongguk unconsciously grabbed their arms, keeping them from falling on their butt.

"Watch where you're going you jerk- oh! Jeongguk!" A female voice said.

It was only then Jeongguk realised he was basically hugging Jessica. He quickly withdrew from her and muttered an apology.

"Jeongguk!" Taehyung caught up with Jeongguk only then, literally gasping for breath.

Jessica stared at both Taehyung and Jeongguk. Jeongguk took a deep breath. He needed to know if the rumour was true.

"Are you pregnant?" Jeongguk asked Jessica.

"What!?" She almost screamed. "Not that I know of"

Jeongguk just stared. Relief washed over him in waves. He turned look at Taehyung who had a blank expression.

"Jeongguk I'm in love with you. I didn't have sex with anyone in ages" Taehyung said.

"Excuse me? You're gay?" Jessica asked, bewildered.

"No I'm bisexual" Taehyung said. "And I'm dating Jeongguk"

Jessica looked betrayed. "But you flirted with me! I thought you were hitting on me!"

"Yeah I was. But I've always loved Jeongguk and I thought he might not like me so when you started texting me I went with the flow. I'm sorry if I lead you on"

"Doesn't matter. I slept with Samantha last night anyway" Jessica said, shrugging. "You ghosted me for days and I didn't want to keep hopes, really"

"You're bi?" Jeongguk asked, surprised.

"I'm pan baby" she said, winking at Jeongguk.

Jeongguk grinned at her. "I'm gay"

"It's low-key obvious. You kinda look like a twink"

Jeongguk laughed. Taehyung watched the scene unfold from beside Jeongguk.

"But what the fuck do you mean I'm pregnant?! Who the fuck is spitting bullshit?" Jessica asked, fuming with anger.

"I heard it when I was in a cafeteria.  People were saying that it's Taehyung's" Jeongguk said.

"That bitch Pansy!" Jessica cursed. "I'm going to kill her. That jealous bitch is so jobless that she has to go around spreading rumors about me" With that said, she stormed off, cursing under her breath. 

Taehyung and Jeongguk watched her walk away, her heels clicking loudly against the floor.

"I'm sorry" Taehyung said.

"what?" Jeongguk was confused. "Why would you be sorry? I should be sorry! I assumed that you had sex with her before I even asked you"

"That's okay, Gguk. If I had the courage to confess to you earlier, I wouldn't have to pretend to like girls and sleep with random people hoping I'd be able to suppress the need to be with you"

Jeongguk's cheeks heated up. "It's fine" he said, smiling at the older. 

Taehyung wrapped his arms around Jeongguk. It was almost out of the blue and left Jeongguk surprised. But he quickly came over his surprise and hugged his boyfriend back.

"Jeongguk you mean the world to me. I'd never let you go. I've loved you for forever. I'd never lie to you my baby" Taehyung whispered.

"I'm sorry for assuming things" Jeongguk said, his nose against Taehyung's shoulder. Taehyung smelled like vanilla and strawberry. His hair a little like chlorine, probably because of his daily morning swim.

"If I were you the thought would've crossed my mind too"

Jeongguk silently buried his nose in Taehyung's shirt, inhaling his heavenly smell. It seemed to calm down every sense.

When they pulled away at last. Taehyung smiled down at Jeongguk and cupped his cheek. The younger boy's cheeks were already the colour of the setting sun.

Taehyung quickly pecked Jeongguk's lips. His lips met Jeongguk's for a few seconds but the kiss still left Jeongguk breathless.

"I need to run to the swimming pool. I'll meet you after school" Taehyung said.

"Okay" Jeongguk whispered, still at bliss. 

No matter how many times they'd kissed each other, Jeongguk could never get used to the feeling. Taehyung always managed to leave Jeongguk breathless. 

And just like every other day, Jeongguk found himself counting hours until the time he met Taehyung.
