Author's note: This one is kind of cute and cringy, but I hope y'all like it. Y/l/n=Your last name. Y/d/n=Your dad's name. Y/f/n=Your full name. I hope y'all had a great Easter!!! Also, please remember what Easter is all about. It's not about the candy or the egg hunts. It's about, how Jesus died for everyone's sin and rose again three days later. Jesus suffered on the cross and was beaten and tormented. He had a crown of thorns driven into his head. Just think about how Jesus was suffering through all of that and at any time he could've just snapped his fingers and it would have all been over with, but he didn't. He went through all of that just so we wouldn't have to. He paid for our sins. He died on the cross and rose three days later. That's what we celebrate every Easter. Remember, it doesn't matter what color your skin is, what religion you are, or what nationality you are Jesus loves everyone. So, if you ever feel like something in your life is bad or anything, just pray and ask Jesus to help you get through it. BEEEP! BEEP! BEEP! Startled by your alarm, you jump up in your bed and slam your hand down on your alarm. Then you say with joy, "Yay! It's Easter today! I can't wait to go to that family Easter egg hunt party at my parents house. I better get up and get dressed. Y/c/n will be over in a few minutes to pick me up, because my parents told me to bring Y/c/n before everyone else got there and we would eat breakfast together." Then you get off of your bed and slip on your flip flops and go to the bathroom. There, you brush your teeth and your hair. After that, you go to your room and slip on a cute Easter dress and some matching sandals.

Then, you head downstairs, walk outside, and wait for Y/c/n to come pick you up. A few seconds later, he drives up and he opens the door for you, bows, and says, "Malady." You say, "Thank you." Then he shuts the door and goes around and gets in the car. As y'all start driving away, he looks at you, smiles, and says, "Wow! You look beautiful today. Really in the Easter spirit huh?" You smile and say, "Thank you, and yes, I am in the Easter spirit. I mean, why wouldn't I be? This is one of the best days ever, because this is the day that Jesus was resurrected. That's what this day is about. It's about the celebration of how Jesus died for everyone's sin and three days later came back. I'm just so thankful for God and Jesus!!!" Then Y/c/n replies, "Yeah, you're right and I'm thankful for God and Jesus too!!!" A few minutes later, y'all pull up in your mom and dad's driveway. Your parents come to the car to greet you and Y/c/n hops out and opens your car door. Then he takes you by your hand and y'all walk into the house. A few minutes later, your dad serves y'all a plate of bunny shaped pancakes. You smile and say, "Thanks, dad. I love it when you make these. They're my favorite." Your dad smiles and replies, "You're welcome, sweetheart." Then Y/c/n takes a bite of his pancakes and says, "Wow! Mr. Y/l/n, these are delicious." Your dad replies, "Well, thank you, Y/c/n." After y'all finish eating, you help your mom wash the dishes while your dad and Y/c/n go to the backyard to get the grill started. While you're washing the dishes, your mom asks you, "So, sweetie, how have you been?" You reply, "I've been good. Y/c/n took me out to eat and we watched a movie last night." Your mom says, "Well, that sounds fun. You two seem perfect for each other." You smile and say, "Well, thanks mom." Then your mom asks, "How long have y'all been dating?" You reply, "About a year." Then your mom says, "Ok. Has he popped the question yet?" You reply, "No, not yet. I'm kind of worried that he might not want to get married anytime soon." Your mom says, "Sweetie, you're 20 years old. Don't rush it. As long as you and Y/c/n are happy together, that's all that matters. Ok, sweetie?" You smile and say, "Ok, mom. Thanks for listening to me." Your mom replies, "Anytime sweetie, anytime." Then y'all hug and finish the dishes. After y'all finish the dishes, y'all head outside. When y'all get outside you and your mom start laughing because Y/c/n and your dad are both covered in black soot. Through laughter your mom asks your dad, "What on Earth happened back here?" Your dad replies, "Well, we were trying to clean the grill and get it ready and next thing we know we're both covered in black soot." You and your mom just laugh more and your mom says, "Oh my gosh! Y'all go in the house and get cleaned up. Y/n and I will get set up for the party." Then Y/c/n says, "Ok, but one problem." Your mom asks, "What is it, Y/c/n?" Y/c/n replies, "I didn't bring any extra clothes." Your mom says, "Well, that's ok. You can borrow some of Y/d/n's clothes. I think you're just about the same size." Y/c/n replies, "Ok. Thank you, Mrs. Y/l/n." Your mom replies, "No, problem, Y/c/n." Then after your dad and Y/c/n go in the house, your mom brings out all of the decorations. About an hour later, Y/c/n and your dad come outside just as you and your mom set out the last decoration.

Your dad exclaims, "Jesus! It looks like Easter threw up back here!" You and your mom laugh. Then you say, "Wait until you see the dessert table." Then all of y'all walk over to the dessert table.

Your dad says, "Well, at least everyone will know where the Easter egg hunt is going to be." All of y'all say, "Yep, they sure will." A few hours later, everyone arrives and the party begins. Your little cousins are running around and everything. After everyone finishes eating their hamburgers and hot dogs and chips, your parents say, "Ok, everyone come inside including the adults, because it doesn't matter how old you are if you want to, you get to hunt Easter eggs too." Then you exclaim, "Yay!!! I love hunting Easter eggs!!!" Y/c/n laughs at your excitement and says, "I do too." Then your parents go outside and hide all of the eggs. About an hour later, they come in and say, "Ok. All of the Easter eggs have been hidden. Remember, they can be hidden anywhere. Now, everyone grab a basket and go find some eggs!!!" Then you and Y/c/n decide to team up and search for the Easter eggs together. A few minutes later, you looked up in a tree and found a couple of eggs, but you couldn't reach them so, Y/c/n picked you up and you got them. Then about an hour later, all of the eggs were found or so you thought. So, the Easter egg hunt was over and everyone was gathered around to eat dessert. After dessert Y/c/n told you, "I have one more Easter egg you need to find." You say, "What do you mean? I thought we found them all." Y/c/n replies, "I thought we did too, but there's just one missing and you get to go find it." You smile and say, "Ok." Then you go outside and start searching for it. A few minutes later, you see something shining in a tree. You run over to it and you stand on your tippy toes, but you still can't reach it. So, you call Y/c/n over and he reaches up in the tree, and pulls down a gold, plastic egg. Then he "accidentally" drops it, so he bends down to pick it up. All of a sudden, you look down and he's on one knee. He picks up the egg and says, "Y/f/n, I've loved you ever since the day I first saw you. I love your smile, your laugh, and your personality. I love everything about you and I want to spend every moment of everyday with you. So, will you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?" He opens the golden egg and inside is a beautiful diamond ring.

You smile and with tears in your eyes you say, "Yes, of course I'll marry you!!!" He then slides the ring on your finger and you say, "It's perfect!!! I love it!!!" Then he stands up, picks you up, and kisses you. After that everyone cheers. You show your ring to everyone and they all congratulate you. Then you walk over to your mom and say, "Well, mom, you were right. I should never have been worried. Thanks, mom." You give her a hug and she says, "You're welcome, baby. That's a beautiful ring." You smile and say, "Yeah it is." Then everyone goes back inside and finishes dessert and talks for a while.
