Awase's POV

I started to eat my snack, paying no attention to the conversation my classmates are having. Although how would I pay any attention? My thoughts are literally taking over my brain right now.

Now that I think about it, did the teachers chose which student can be paired with based on our quirks? 'Cause if so then I see why they would pair us. I mean, Yaoyorozu creates things and I can weld anything whether organic or inorganic.

But even so, this actually quite nerve-racking considering the fact that Momo is literally a very smart student here at U.A.

As my thoughts continued to wander even more, I soon realized that I finished my food...but I forgot to order a drink.

"Hey guys, I'm just gonna get myself a drink. I'll be right back." I said to them.

They all nodded as I make my way to the counter.

After a little while from waiting, I soon got myself a juice box.

I turned around to walk back to my table until I accidentally bumped into someone.

She was about to fall backwards but I caught her by holding her hand.

I then immediately blushed when I knew who I just bumped into.

WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN TO ME?!?!?

"Y-Yaoyorozu, a-are you okay?" I stuttered. Geez, I'm gonna have a talk with my own self to STOP STUTTERING!!

I then pulled her up to stand properly.

"I-I'm alright. Sorry, I wasn't looking on where I was going." She apologized.

"No no no it's my fault, I was kind of lost in my thoughts too." I apologized to her.

We then had quite an awkward silence until I noticed Momo clearing her throat, gesturing that I'm still holding her hand.

I panicked a bit as I instantly let go of her hand and blushed crimson red.

"S-Sorry!!"

She giggled, "It's okay. You seem a bit stiff though."

"I-I do??"

"Yeah, you keep stuttering whenever we're together. She pointed out.

How can I not?? You're literally the one I'm falling for.

"Plus, I heard from some of your friends saying you're nervous about us being pairs." She said in a concerning way.

"I-It's just..I'm always nervous whenever I team up with very smart and strong people, specifically like you." I nervously chuckled.

"Well you're not that bad. You have great potential when it comes to battles and I like how you have great technique with your quirk. Plus, I think you're strong too." She smiled.

Her compliment made my face heat up, "Y-You think so..??"

"Of course!!"

I smiled by the nice words of Yaoyorozu. It just made my heart flutter so much, I'm not even sure if I'm supposed to be scared that my heart is feeling quite fuzzy.

"Wow, t-thank you for the compliments, Yaoyorozu. I appreciate them a lot." I blushed.

"You're welcome!! Thanks for the compliments too, Awase." She smiled and I smiled back.

We both then parted ways and I came back to my table, where of course I was greeted by my classmates smirking at me.

Great, they saw everything.

"Care to explain why were you both holding hands?~" Kendo smirked.

My face was heating up more and looked away, "S-She was about to fall so I had to catch her. Plus, I didn't even know I was still holding her hand."

"Yeah right~" Kosei snickered.

"I'm serious!!"

They all laughed and I just rolled my eyes as I sat down. I took out ths straw and punched the whole in the juice box.

"Also, how long has Monoma been out??" I asked as I took a sip of my juice.

"Oh, I actually have been repeating hitting him so he wouldn't wake up." Kendo answered.

"Why exactly??"

"Or else Monoma would kill you obviously if he saw you holding hands with Yaoyorozu." Rin laughed.

Oh yeah I forgot. I can't tell Monoma that I have a crush on Yaoyorozu or else I'll be dead meat!!

"So...when are you gonna ask her out??" Tetsutetsu smirked.

"Never."

"Oh come on bro, it's only a matter of time before both of you can even have the chance to be together." Fukidashi chuckled.

"Our goal here is becoming Pro Heroes, not to date." I said.

"Yosetsu, even we can have fun if we want to. Sure our main goal here is jjst becoming Pro Heroes, but we are still teenagers so don't be ashamed that you have a crush on Yaoyorozu." Kendo pointed out.

I then choked on my drink because of the last line she said.

"H-How did you know I like Yaoyorozu???" I looked at her.

She gulped and soon her gaze was on my friends.

"You. Guys. Are. IDIOTS!!!" I yelled out to my friends.

"RUNN!!!!"

They all started to run away from me as I chased them down. For the whole recess, I chased them around the whole cafeteria.

Time skip...

It was now our last subject and we were told that we will be meeting Class 1-A in the gymnasium. We were the first ones there since Class 1-A still had a training but they should be getting dressed back into their uniforms again.

After about a minute or two, Class 1-A finally arrived. Based on what our teachers told us, they said that we all need to meet up together so all of us will know more about this activity.

WHICH I AM REALLY STILL NERVOUS ABOUT!!

"As you all know, the activity you were all given is the one when all of you will be paired with a student from the other class. I know some of you hate this idra but please bare with us." Mr. Vlad King said.

"Anyway, let's begin. The activity you both will be doing is a research paper. Each of you will be learning different things from your own partner and you will be writing about what you learned together in your paper." Mr. Aizawa explained.

"Excuse me Mr. Aizawa, but why at least a month? If this is just learning about each other and learning something new together, shouldn't this be done in at least just a week." Iida asked.

"The reason why it's a month is because we obviously know that this research paper will actually take much longer than you think. Both classes have been training against each other, but I think it's best if you all let your differences aside." Mr. Aizawa answered.

"Ooohhh" We all said in unison.

"In this activity, you are very much allowed to come to your partner's house or even visit each other at the dorms. A bit of training is somewhat involved, depending if you will do any training together." Mr. Vlad King added.

This somewhat feels like a problem for me since I'm not entirely a very rich person and I don't have the nicest house like Yaoyorozu does.

"You may talk with your partner today or any day this week. The start of doing your work is depending on both of you. You are now all dismissed." Mr. Aizawa said before we all got out of the gymnasium.

This is activity is gonna be quite an interesting one.
