Awase's POV

I gulped, "So...what do yo wanna talk about?"

"It's about you and my sister."

I immediately blushed.

YEP I'M SO GONNA DIE

"Umm...w-why would you ask that..??" I asked nervously.

"I don't know...it's just..the thought of you two...it kinda makes me think you guys are...more than just friends." He looked at me as if I was suspicious or something.

"Me and her?? Pffttt nahh, she and I only just interacted few weeks ago. Sure we both have worked together back at the camp few months ago but she and I didn't really talk that much after that incident. But Momo and I would greet each other every morning, it's just we never had those long conversations like how friends would." I explained.

"But do you like her??" He asked.

WHAT IS WITH THESE QUESTIONS??!?! THESE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE FOR TODOROKI, NOT ME!!

"Yeah, she's a great frie--"

"I mean romantically. Do you have any feelings for her??"

I stayed silent as I hung my head low a bit. I didn't want to feel like answering that since what's the point for me to say it when she's obviously gonna end up with someone else anyways.

"N-No...I don't--"

"You do."

"W-What?! I just said--"

"You're lying. It's written all over your face."

I looked away as my face was heating up, "Why are you asking me this??"

"Cause your expression showed love towards her."

Wait whaaaaaaaa????? H-How-- HUH?!?!?

I looked at him in surprise, "I...don't understand."

"My quirk is called Empathy, I have the ability to read someone's feelings with just a single glance of them." He explained.

Oh.....I see.

"O-Oh...that's actually a nice quirk." I said.

"It is but it's kinda more useless than my sister's, so I wanted to learn Chi Blocking so I can be a Pro Hero like pur parents." Matsu smiled.

"Chi Blocking??"

"It's basically a type of fighting style wherein you hit the vital points of a person, making them unable to move because of how numb their bodies are and that they can't even activate their quirks." He explained.

(THIS IS ACTUALLY A THING, HITTING A PERSON'S VITAL POINTS AND MAKING THEM PARALYZE OR HAVING ANY PART OF THEIR BODY NUMB IS A REAL THING AND IT'S SO COOL!!!)

"Ooohhhh I wish I can learn that, it sounds really fun to use." I chuckled.

"Maybe I can show you later as a demonstration to how it works."

"That'd be great." I smiled.

We both soon caught our selves in an awkward silence, but then Matsu broke it.

"So...you do like my sister?" He smirked.

I gulped nervously, "A-Are you gonna tell Momo about this??"

"Of course not, but I want to know how you started liking her like that."

"I started crushing on her right after the incident at the camp. Once she was fully recovered, I was so happy that even my heart felt stirred up. I didn't want to admit it at first since I didn't believe I would be crushing on someone who was just about to die. But as soon the days came by, both my mind and heart are telling me that I'm in love with her...but even if I can admit that now, I don't think I' able to gain a chamce with her." I hung my head down.

"Why is that?" Matsu raised a brow.

"There's this classmate of hers who likes her too. He's like one of the top students at U.A. because not only is he powerful and the son of Endeavor, but he's a really skilled and great person who has so much potential and strength in becoming a hero." I explained.

"Son of Endeavor?? You mean Shoto Todoroki?? Like the actual son of the #1 hero???" His eyes widened in shock.

"Yup. He created a great relationship and bond with Momo so there's really no point or at least a chance for me with Momo." I sighed.

I continued, "She doesn't even like me back at all. Plus, it's stupid of me to think that she will ever feel the same way. I mean come on, we're studying and training ourselves in order to become Pro Heroes, not to slide in the dating life. There's no room for that honestly."

That's when Matsu chuckled, "Awase, I have quite a few things to say to you so I'm just gonna say these one by one. First, don't just make assumptions that Momo doesn't like you back. I saw you out there on the field and you have no idea how impressed I was seeing you being able to block Momo's attack and staying persistent during that battle with her. Don't compare yourself to Todoroki just because he's way better and has a greater quirk than you. You both have such a great spirit inside of you. Plus, that doesn't mean when Shoto has spent the most time with Momo, doesn't mean she'll eventually choose him. Even the people who we stay with the longest aren't always the choices we choose whenever we fall for someone. Second, even I myself had a crush on this girl back in high school when I was at U.A. and I never told her how I feel until we graduated from high school. I am lucky enough to know that even she likes me back but I think both our feelings for each other were quite obvious to our friends. But anyway, yes we need to put our goal as Pro Heroes first but there are some things wherein you can still be able to push it through even if you think there's no room for it." Matsu sincerely said.

Everything that he just said was so incredible and it jsut went staright through my heart. Does he actually want me to be with Momo or did he detect the depression I felt when I saw Todoroki and Momo together? Either way, his words were actually quite helpful and reassuring.

"I'm not saying these because I do think you and Momo will actually be together, that depends if she has the same feelings as you do. I'm saying these because I want you to not give up, I want you to continue making my sister smile even if she wouldn't feel the same way. Both becoming Pro Heroes and loving someone has one thing in common, and that's never giving up no matter what the consequences are." He said as he placed his hand one my shoulder.

"Thank you, Matsu." I smiled.

"No problem, but don't actually think of holding my sister's hands or touching her like that." He glared at me.

I gulped, "Y-Yes sir.."

He laughed as stood up and walked away, "See you at the dining table, Awase."

"See you later too, Matsu."

He then walked off as I continued to wait for Momo, taking in everything that he just said. I guess he did say those things because I was feeling down.
