The prince they all call him, because of his royal lineage , his looks , his elegance , his money and the power he holds have made men and women swooning left and right for him from the day he has turned 15, blooming from a child to a young adult . He has, through the years accepted some advances and had rejected many but none could really hold his interests for long.

But when be entered the engineering college he understood what true crush felt like. He couldn't believe and accept  he fell for a man foremost, for a long time and had wasted his own precious time with his own denial and dilemma.

Soon, but he had understood he was spending most of his waking moment swooning over the man and rest, even during sleep, thinking the various ways,  he can kiss him or confess to him, or make wild love to him. The order of which are never maintained in his lust muddled mind!

It has always surprised him, how  can a man be cute and handsome at the same time. One moment he is assertive,confident , topper of his batch next moment he is cutely pouting when his friends tease him. Why the confident Tay has never been able to say anything to him ?

Tay knows the answer,  it's always the fear of rejection and the wall of some hot and cold signs aura around the man which leaves Tay confounded.

The man is always busy in studies or with his three most closest friend . He is polite, extremely decent, openly accepting to any kind of sexuality but the man is an absolute introvert . The best way to talk to him is to befriend him during study sessions or when he graciously helps others in lesson.

Tay has done absolutely that. Yes , for a year now, since after he had realised his true feelings, he had constantly tried to be in his life someway or other . Be it during study time, during their impromptu outing with other college gangs , beer nights , helping the seniors with their projects or just studying or tuitioning others he had been constantly looking at him, taking all the minuscule chances to be with him.

Now , looking at his broad back as he sits with his three closest friends in the college canteen he decides to empty his heart. It's valentines day after all, and for more than six months now he had felt his crush eager to spend more time with a certain other person than enjoying Tay's company.

Many a times Tay has even seen his long time crush looking at him with jealousy and disdain, since Tay was speaking overtly friendly to that certain person or giving him attention.

It was basically Tay's ploy to know his crushe's intention regarding Tay himself . May be , his crush is also equally interested in him and so he decides , there is no point in delaying anymore . It's already been a year and he is stalling and what better way  than a Valentine's Day early morning confession. Their first class is cancelled luckily and he takes it as a clear indication of fate to go ahead with his plan.

So he approaches the handsome man, who as usual is keeping quiet and enjoying his three hooligan friends' banters .

" hey Singto can I speak to you alone, for some time."

" sure"

Tay is happy that Singto's friends don't give them much attention and keep on with their some game level challenging each other thingy.

" what do you want Tay, aren't you supposed to be entertaining your valentine today, you will be soon inundated with gifts. flowers and proposals anyways."

Tay is surprised by his bitter tone and words . What's with Singto! He is never this openly sarcastic to anyone . Should he confess or not ? His mood seems extremely queer , fuck it , hell or heaven today he will confess. He needs answer! He is too damn frustrated with Singto's hot and cold attitude .

" hmm, Singto. I don't know about all the other confessions but I need to say you something. Ahm.. I think..no ..I don't think ..I mean I know .. you know what I am trying to say is ..."

Tay mentally faceplams what the hell is he blabbering ! But looking at Singto's eyes he guesses his message had gone through to him!

" are you confessing to me by any chance Tay. Please don't tell me you are doing that .

Tay just nods in yes , not able to meet Singto's  shocked eyes. Shit what prince of college and all, being the macho man, he is all shy!

what will his friends think about him if they see him now, blushing ! But when your longtime crush is speaking to you and about to accept your proposal you are sure to become like that!

Singto's voice becomes almost a hoarse whisper

"But Tay aren't you interested in Krist, the second year boy , I mean everybody knows the kid is all heart eyes for you and for over six months I have observed, you are similarly heart eyes for him!"

" no way! I was just following you around and trying to be with you. Why would I have any interest in that low society boy! And why are you even bringing him up now at this special moment! There are many people who have crush on me I can't be accepting just anybody as my boyfriend but Singto you are, well, I like you, like really really like you . So.. is it yes?"

"No Tay, I don't feel like that for you and you really shouldn't have given krist all those misleading signals . Even I thought you are interested in him and since he also seemed smitten by you I never really tried to tell my own feelings for him.."

Singto realises late, that while rejecting Tay he had spilled his own secret. But the damage had already been done !

" what! So you like that puny thing and you are rejecting me for that low life! You are rejecting me, à royalty for a commoner who is studying through scholarship money."

" Tay don't insult krist like that in front of me. I don't like creating scene so I will prefer to leave this place and my answer to your confession will always remain no, so don't try it in any other way again!"

Singto walks off but can't shake off the bad feeling in his tummy, he shouldn't have brought up krist! But Tay's unexpected proposal and Singto's own jealousy about the fact that krist always thought him only as a helping senior where as for Tay, he had all googly eyes, didn't help the situation at all!

He hopes Tay will not do anything stupid, that arrogant idiotic classmate of his, brought up with golden spoon in his mouth, must have faced any form of rejection for the first time!

But around late lunch time , a video pings on Singto's mobile and simultaneously on all his classmates mobile from an unknown link. After opening it Singto's blood boils , Tay did do something very stupid , it's not even stupid it's downright cruel.

It first showed Tay smiling and standing before a stuttering krist, then tay shows him a letter and asks whether krist had written it, his handsome face always smiling, like Tay is so happy to have received the love letter.

The poor kid bashfully smiles and nods his head in yes, obviously getting happy by Tay's open smile . Tay then asks him whether he likes him truly, and krist again somehow nods in yes, blushing beet red and completely unaware that he is being recorded all along .

Then Tay asks him whether he wants to kiss him and play the wife role. Krist though taken by surprise again nods in yes. Singto is sure he is too caught up in the situation to understand that the question is inappropriate. That kid is too innocent for the world!

Then the most horrifying part comes, Tay tilts Krist's chin and almost kisses him, krist closing his eyes and leaning into the kiss but Tay pushes him off roughly and then Tay's group of friends appear and they start to taunt krist regarding his status and audacity in even thinking of dating a man like Tay!.

Singto can make out tootah and off looking horrified a little faraway but unable to intervene the bullying group of seniors . The group plays with krist for some more time pushing the younger around calling him names and telling him to keep his ambitions to grass root level and not to aim for the unreachable sky . The sobbing broken krist is a sorry sight to watch ..The video ends here .

Before his friends can stop him Singto starts running towards the place where the video had been shot. Behind the college auditorium . And sure enough he finds the trio in a group hug, from the movement of their shoulders, Singto can make out all three are crying..

Singto looks around and plucks out a random flower bunch from the haywire shrubs growing around the area, approaches the trio and softly calls out ..

" krist.. will you be my valentine babe ."
