"I think the news would be better in private," the doctor murmured sadly."

"Linh, you go first, he is your brother and all," Sophie whisphered. Linh tiptoed towards the doctor. Her face went from worried to streams of tears rolling down her cheeks.

Biana wondered what happened. She was still sad about her failed kiss with Keefe, but cared about Tam's situation more. But she couldn't help thinking about how Sophie and Keefe got together last night. Her mind darted back to the really important events.

What could've their friend group taken from the mysterious group? Why them?

"Biana," Dex said quietly, as he was in tears and Biana was the last person to hear the news. She slowly slided over to where the doctor was standing.

"Okay. You got this," she whisphered to herself preparing her for the traumatic news.

"This is hard but Tam had his neck broken and is in a coma. It is unlikely for him to wake up," The doctor said, straight up.

Why now, when things were amazing?

Biana was hearbroken. Tam would never come back. She wished she was nicer to him before. As Biana was walking to the group, tears came, one by one, then rapidly. Everyone huddled around eachother, one giant group hug. The news was just too hard for them.

After, each friend got to visit Tam and each wrote a little note beside his bed.

I know I have been really mean over the summer and I am SO SORRY. I just can't feel worse that you have to go through this. I wish I was there for you. I am so sorry and are gonna write to you daily, telling you about my day and just to see how you are doing. Not that you are gonna respond. It's like letters to read when you wake up. If you wae up. Biana made a promise to bring Tam a little gift each week and write him notes every day. She was going to help Tam, in her own way.
