Episode 6
Episode 6: Just Wondering,
Zelda sat on the edge of her bed in pure silence.
Her fingers tapping against her knee was probably the loudest sound at the moment. Should she even be in her house right now? It was broken into... and it's not like they took anything besides her phone yet... so it's possible that she could still have been on the list.
You really shouldn't be feeling lonely right now, idiot... she thought to herself.
Everyone seemed to be busy at the moment.
Link, Ike, Robin, and Marth were out doing whatever weird college guys do, Peach, Daisy, and Roy were at the beach... Palutena probably didn't want to be bothered at the moment... and Pit... who knows, but she didn't exactly care enough to wonder.
She opened up her phone and went onto her social media. One of the first posts that showed up was one from Roy. It was just an old picture of everyone from four years ago. Everyone.
Lucina, Samus...
Samus.
She hasn't talked to Samus since she left. Would it be okay to call her? Has it been bad that she hasn't? Or was it neutral because of how she left with whatever she called a goodbye...? Or no goodbye at all, anyway.
Zelda went into her contacts, and surprisngly, Samus was still there.
Her next actions were weird. She didn't hesitate to even call her. It was almost like she was desperate to talk to her. Her best friend. Her friend that was always there for her.
She waited.
And waited.
Until,
"Hello?!"
"S-Sam!"
"Who the hell is this?"
She probably deleted my contact... I mean it has been three years.
"I-It's Zel?"
"..."
"Do you re-"
"The hell are you calling me for?!"
"I... It's just been so long, and-"
"I don't have time for y-"
"I need someone to talk to right now..."
Samus sighed, loudly.
"Is everyone still bitching about what happened three years ago...?"
Oh god.
"Wh-what??"
"Look it was Lucina's time to go and mine time too-"
"Dear lord..." Zelda muttered.
"I heard that."
...
"Look, I'm sorry I called-"
"Daisy texted me earlier."
"Huh?"
"She told me what was going on, I am NOT getting involved."
"Okay."
"Okay?"
...
"Listen, just don't-"
Zelda hung up before she could finish.
In the span of... what, 2 minutes, Zelda now hated the sound of Samus' voice. She still felt guilty nonetheless, but she felt sick of it.
She threw her phone to the other side of her bed as she curled up in a ball, hugging her knees tightly.
She hated this.
••••••
"I was thinking a deep vibrant royal blue and like... an orange vermillion... but what do you think?"
"F-for what?"
Rosalina looked at Peach with a raised eyebrow and a bit of disappointed shock.
"Daisy's party... girl, her birthday is right around the corner."
Peach blinked.
She had completely forgot about that. God, she felt so selfish and ignorant that she forgot that. Even for a second. What else was she even thinking about.
"Oh. OH! Uh, yeah actually... yeah I'd like to see that color combo... just don't use the cheap stuff, the cheap stuff won't work."
"Yeah. Risky color combos can not be pursued with the under $10 shit."
"Hey, don't get all mean now." Peach chuckled. They both shared a laugh.
"So... what's been going on lately?"
Peach hesitated.
"Nothing much, you know? You haven't really missed out on anything."
Rosalina had been out of town for a good month and had just gotten back last night. When Peach picked her up from the airport that night it was already 1:00 AM, and Rosalina didn't exactly trust Peach to be driving so late at night. Right now they were walking around the neighborhood Rose lived in.
"When's the last time you and Daisy have seen each other?" Rosalina asked.
"Uh... a couple days ago..."
Rosalina shifted uneasily. Of course, Peach knew what was in her mind.
"You know, Daisy doesn't think anything bad of you, you know... she forgives you...?"
Rosalina didn't look at Peach, but continued to look ahead.
"I know... it doesn't feel right, though. I... god, I don't know..."
Peach only nodded.
"You... you should get going, huh? Besides, you need to pick up some stuff for the party."
Peach laughed. "Yeah, yeah. Let's get back to the house."
As they walked back, they could hear a loud car engine roaring behind them. They turned around right at the moment the giant red car zoomed past them. They could barely make out Simon Belmont in the drivers seat, looking quite pissed.
As the car exited their view, they stood there, just staring.
"Usually when this happens, something would have had happened with him and Richter."
"Mr. Belmont... he scares me, I still can't believe they let him teach."
"Ehhh it's a shitty town, I mean, they've let a psycho teach us before." Peach replied, implying the fact that the school let Ganon teach a couple years back."
...
"I'm curious as to what happened." Rosalina admitted. Meanwhile, Peach had a grin forming on her face.
"Hey..."
Rosalina turned to face Peach.
"You know, it doesn't hurt to splurge once in a while..."
"Uhhh...."
"Whadya say, we pick up Daisy and us gals can be a little nosy for a little bit."
Rosalina started to have the same grin.
"You are one nosy bitch." She laughed.
"That's what I'm going for. Now let's have some fun."
