Episode 2

Episode 2: Two Hour Drive.

Roy and Daisy had been seeing each other for a while.

Surprisingly, their relationship had been way more serious than Link and Zelda's, and right now was a good example as to why.

The two were laying on the grass field in an empty park, kissing each other and not minding the publicity.

His hand rested on her waist as her hands were snaked around his neck, with her upper body laying on top of him and her feet off to the side.

Making out in public wasn't necessarily a problem. There were other people out there doing worse.

"Wait..." Daisy whispered, slowly pulling back.

Roy opened his eyes and looked at her as her eyes laid on the grass beneath them.

"What's wrong..?" Roy asked, Still a little quiet.

Daisy inched herself away, looking him in the eye before dropping her head on the ground, looking up at the sky.

"I have a paper due."

"What?!"

Roy propped himself up on his elbow and looked at her, a bit mad.

"You have several hours to do that." Roy defended as he tried to lay his head in the crook of her neck, which she immediately pushed him away, making him laugh quietly.

"Heh, okay really, what's wrong?" He asked again, chuckling.

"Just... one of the teachers tried to pull a stupid stunt on me just to piss me off or some shit... I don't know what his goal was but that asshole was gonna call Master Hand up or something..."

"What?!"

Roy sat up.

"Wh-why?! What did they say, did Master Hand come—"

"He started saying shit about my paper the minute I turned it into him. And no, Master Hand did not come."

"You should've brought Master Hand up! I don't want that stupid Bowser to—"

"Can you just kiss me again?"

"Wha—?"

Daisy suddenly grabbed his face and pulled him down on top of her, already sick of the conversation.

"PAT!"

...

"PALUTENA I KNOW YOU HEAR ME KNOCKING I HEARD YOU CLOSE YOUR WINDOW."

...

"IT REEKS. IT BETTER NOT BE WEED OR ANYTHING."

After a few more seconds of silence, several loud noises were heard throughout the house, until the door unlocked.

"....hey Peach—"

"Why didn't you text me back?! I was worried that someone murdered you—"

"Can you not say that..?"

Peach blinked. "Oh. Sorry. Anyway..."

Palutena was able to tune our Peach completely. Hell, she could've waltzed back inside and it would've been like nothing happened. But when the girl looked back at the blonde as she talked, and talked, and talked, and talked, she couldn't help but notice that the car behind her had several large bags. Garbage bags? Yes, probably.

"What's with the junk," Palutena asked bluntly, nodding towards the car.

"Huh? Oh. Well, I was gonna drop this off at the junkyard. And god knows I'm not going alone."

"What? I'm not goin with you, I have stuff to do."

"No you don't, you damn liar. Get your shoes and a jacket. We're going."

Palutena was about to protest, but she then remembered that ever since the incident, letting her friends go off on their own to certain places was something Palutena didn't like. At all.

She groaned as she stomped her feet into her shoes while grabbing a brown coat from the coat hanger behind the door.

"Let's go, Princess."

••••••

"Why so much trash??"

"I just wait till I actually have to take it out."

Palutena sighed as she let Peach drive in peace.

"How have you been?"

"Fine... why are you asking...?" Palutena asked.

"I just... you're my friend! Duh! What's everyone else doing today?"

"Ike, Marth, Robin and Roy were gonna go hiking today I guess... Pit was gonna go to the arcade with Shulk.... oh, Link and Zelda are having a study date tonight!"

"Really? Zelda didn't tell me that," Peach said. "When?"

"8:00 tonight, I'm pretty sure."

"Good for them. Let's hope no one gets pregnant, ey?"

Palutena scoffed. "Like those two can be so lewd with each other."

"True."

Palutena forgot about the length of the drive. It was 1:00 PM right now, and the drive was a good 1-2 hours. She groaned. Luckily, Peach had a charger and a plug for Pat to play music on her phone. Although, it wasn't really comfortable being in one small seat with five garbage bags in the back. The smell of the car was a mix of room-spray and trash. How lovely.

••••••

After the longest two hours in their life, Palutena and Peach both finally made it to the junkyard.

It wasn't all just garbage bags like Peach had. There were run-down cars here and there, large car parts, broken house items, etc....

"Take two," Peach demanded, nodding her head towards the garbage bags as she grabbed the other three. Palutena did as told, taking one in each hand.

The duo left the car and strode into the yard, occasionally tripping over loose items that were everywhere.

"Do we just leave it here?" Palutena asked.

"Uhh... well... not exactly... the least I can say is that we're gonna be at least an hour here."

"Are you serious?!"

"I'll buy us an early dinner before our ride home, chillax!!"

"You're lucky you're my friend, Peach, do you realize that?!"

"Of course I do."

••••••

After finishing up, Peach kept her word and took Palutena to eat at a small taco shop on a street corner. It was mostly silence between them as they ate their food, trying to be a little quick so they could get home soon.

Peach actually started rambling on about one of her rude shopping experiences but like earlier, Palutena was perfectly capable of tuning the blonde out.

After taking another bite, she felt her phone vibrate in her pocket. Palutena fished it out, the screen reading that she was getting a call from Zelda.

"I need to take this," Palutena mumbled as she got up from the small table they sat at and to the far corner of the shop.

She accepted the call.

"Hello?"

She hoped Zelda didn't butt dial her or anything. If she did though, she hoped it wasn't while she and Link were doing things. But it was almost pure silence beside the sound of the neighbors outside.

The only thing she heard was breathing.

"The fuck... Hello?! Zelda, it's Pat! What do you need?!"

Breathing.

It didn't sound like Zelda's or Link's.

"Shit."

Before anything else could happen, whoever was on the other side of the line hung up.

No no no no no no no no no no.

Palutena ran back to Peach.

"PEA—"

"Palutena! Look at how cute Link and Zellie look in his post right now!"

"What..." Palutena grabbed the phone from Peach's hand. It was both of them sitting on the couch Zelda had downstairs. She looked closely.

Link had just posted this right now.

It even said picture was taken at 4:25 PM.

"What the hell???"

"What's wrong?"

"We gotta go, Peach. Right now,"

"But—"

"I'll explain everything once we get in the car, we have to go!!"
