059. eager beaver
Lexa was tapping away on her phone, messaging Caroline back as she walked down the hallway. The pair hadn't seen each other for a couple of days but had been messaging constantly.
Lexa stopped as she heard Stefan and Elena talking in the girl's room. The siphoner looked puzzled, as she thought they were on a break. She could hear Stefan say, "I don't trust Mason. I want to be there today to keep an eye on him." To which Elena replied with, "Okay. But then we can't touch or talk and no lingering stares."
"No, none of that."
Elena sighed before she said, "What do you think will happen if Katherine finds out that we were fake fighting?" Lexa gasped, as suddenly it all made sense.

Natasha was skipping through the house when she suddenly heard someone knocking on the door. She waltz over and pulled the door open, seeing Jeremy standing there.
"Elena?" Jeremy blurted, before Natasha just smiled, "Hi little Gilbert." She chirped as Jeremy's face fell, realising the chirpiness and accent definitely didn't fit Elena. "Natasha."
"What are you here for?" The Petrova asked as the Gilbert walked inside. "I need to talk to Damon." He declared.
As if on cue, Damon walked in "And why do I need to talk to you?" He asked, before trying to close the door on him. Jeremy just shoved it back open. "Tyler Lockwood has to kill someone to activate his curse. He's not a werewolf yet." He explained as Natasha looked impressed, but Damon didn't at all. "Wow, fascinating. Not enough." He decided, trying to close the door yet again.
"But Mason Lockwood is and he's looking for a moonstone, a special rock connected to the werewolf legend. That's why he's here." Jeremy quickly said, causing Damon to open the door. "A moonstone?"
Jeremy nodded, "And I know where it is." He said. "And you're bringing me this why?" The Salvatore asked. "Do I need a reason? Look, I just want to help, okay?"
"What do your sisters say about this little discovery?" Natasha suddenly piped up, as Jeremy's face fell, as he stayed quiet. "Oh, you haven't told them, have you?" Damon asked, as Natasha just giggled. "Well, they don't want me getting involved in all this." Jeremy trailed off.
"And you're a Gilbert and you just can't help yourself." Natasha shrugged before Damon spoke, "Wow. Your search for life's purpose is as obvious as it is tragic."
Jeremy groaned, sick of Damon trying to shut him down. "You going to let me in or not?" Damon and Natasha stepped aside, letting Jeremy inside.

The Masquerade ball was one of the most loved events in Mystic Falls. Outside the mansion, Bonnie walked over to Elena and Sienna, carrying a box.
"Hey." Bonnie smiled, as Sienna and Elena smiled at her, though the witch could tell Sienna seemed out of place. "Everything okay?" She asked, looking to the Lockwood. Sienna looked up, and nodded "I'm alright." She insisted.
Truthfully, Sienna had just told Tyler absolutely everything. The werewolf gene. How to trigger the curse. What it's like as a werewolf. It had been a lot.
"You're here." Elena chirped as Bonnie smiled at the Gilbert, "I'm here." She replied. Elena took some candles out of the box Bonnie was carrying, before she caught the witch glancing around the yard.
"Caroline's not coming. I told you." Elena insisted as Bonnie nodded, "Just making sure." She replied. "You know eventually, you're gonna have to talk to her." Sienna pointed out as Bonnie gave the werewolf and then the doppelgänger. "Could you make it a little less obvious you're on her side?" She asked them as they both frowned. "There are no sides, Bonnie."
Bonnie sighed, "Come on, Elena! Since Caroline became a vampire, we barely see each other. Losing Caroline was bad enough. I didn't think I'd lose you too." She said.
"Come with me." Elena said, as the Bennett frowned "Where?" She asked. "Not here. Some place quiet. We have to talk." With that, Bonnie and Elena left, as Sienna went inside.

As Liz was laying on the cot in the Salvatore basement, Caroline suddenly walked in. Liz sat up, looking to her daughter who walked over and looked down at the tray of food.
"You didn't eat much." Caroline began, as there was an awkward silence. "Good news: Doctor Damon said the vervain is almost out of your system. So with any luck, you'll be freshly compelled and back in your own bed by tonight." Liz didn't say anything.
"Are you really just gonna pretend like I don't exist?" The blonde asked, visibly upset. Sheriff Forbes just sighed, "Yes. So please, go."
Caroline took the tray and began to walk away. "As usual, you don't care. Got it. Just like before I was a vampire. It's not like I died or anything." She said with sarcasm in her voice, before she opened the door to leave.
Liz's voice spoke up, "Are you...Are you really dead?" Caroline turned around, "Yes and no." The older Forbes looked a bit confused, "How is it possible?" She asked.
Caroline walked back into the room and closed the door, happy to explain everything to her Mum.

As Mason passed Bonnie, he accidentally bumped into her. "Excuse me." He said, before he continued to walk. Bonnie continued to watch Mason as he looked away, a strange look spread across her face, which Stefan noticed.
"What's the matter? Are you okay?" Stefan asked, approaching the witch. "When I touched him, I saw something." Bonnie replied. "What do you mean? Like a vision?"
"I saw Elena." Bonnie answered. "You saw Elena?" Stefan asked as Bonnie frowned, "He was kissing her." She added. Stefan shook his head, "No, Bonnie, Elena wouldn't kiss..." He trailed off, before realising, "You didn't see Elena, you saw...Katherine."
Meanwhile inside, Lexa had just arrived and was sorting through masks, with Sienna by her side. "So I'm not just a werewolf." The Lockwood concluded, as she had just explained her discovery to her girlfriend. "I didn't even know there was such thing as being a guardian." Lexa confessed, facing Sienna.
"How do you feel about all of this?" Lexa then asked her love, as the taller girl shrugged. "At first I was really angry because it had been hidden from me... but now it feels like everything makes sense... I always seemed to sense whenever something was wrong with Tyler in the past, and I thought I was crazy." She said, as Lexa nodded, listening intently. "But I feel like.. maybe there's a chance that my father and I could.. actually be like a normal father and daughter." She trailed off.
Sienna froze as she looked over Lexa's shoulder, "What the hell is he doing here?" She blurted out. Alexia turned around as her eyes landed on Damon. "Damon, what are you doing here?" She decided to ask.
Damon approached the couple. "Looking for my baby bro. Speaking of, would you tell yours to stop following me around?" He asked. Lexa frowned, "What's going on?" She then asked. "Ask eager beaver."
As Damon walked away, Jeremy entered the mansion. "Oi! Eager beaver!" Sienna called out, trying to get his attention. Lexa snorted at her girlfriend's statement, before seeing Jeremy give them a confused look. "Yes, my love was talking to you, Jer."
The younger Gilbert walked over, "Hey, what's up?" He asked, slightly confused. "Jeremy, what is Damon making you do?" Lexa asked quietly. Jeremy sighed, "He's not making me do anything, Damon and I..." He trailed off, as Sienna cut him off. "Uh, no. No way. No, no, no, no. There is no Damon and you. There's Damon and whoever Damon is using, and those people, they usually end up dead." Sienna spat, her arms crossed. Jeremy looked at her, offended by the tone she was using on him.
"Whatever is going on Jeremy, I want you to stay out of it, please." Alexia begged, as Jeremy shook his head. "I don't really care what you want, Lexa. It's because of you and Elena that I'm in this mess in the first place, so I'm sorry, but you really don't get to tell me what I'm gonna do." With that, he turned around and left, leaving Lexa stunned. Sienna glared at the boy, who had left.

As Matt was hanging up lanterns, outside. Tyler and was standing next to him, holding the ladder, as Sienna held more lanterns. "She's this amazing girl one minute and then this raging, jealous freak the next." Matt sighed, ranting about Caroline. Tyler looked to Matt. "Look, you know what I think of Caroline Forbes. She's an insecure, neurotic, bitchy little twit."
"Hey!" Sienna huffed, but also Lexa who was approaching them. "You're an... insecure, bitchy, neurotic.. twat!" The Gilbert huffed, trying to use Tyler's insult back at him, but getting it terribly wrong. "Yep. You really showed him, babe." Sienna said blankly.
"You didn't let me finish." Tyler insisted. "The girl's got heart. She means well. You just gotta take the good with the bad sometimes." He said, before looking back to Matt.
"Yeah. I'm gonna go get an extension cord. I'll be right back." Matt said, stepping off of the ladder before he walked away. As Matt left, Jeremy approached Tyler. "Hey man."
"Hey!"
Lexa and Sienna shared a confused glance, unsure of when these two even started to be on talking terms.
"Hey, so I did a little research on that stone you showed me." Jeremy said quietly. "What? Why?" Tyler asked. "What stone?" Sienna quickly asked, as Tyler looked to her. "Don't worry about it." He replied. Sienna just frowned, "I told you everything, now get talking."
"It's a moonstone." Jeremy answered as Lexa shrugged, "When you say that, I picture a white, oval shaped rock" The siphoner said as Tyler turned to her. "That's practically what it is." He said.
"Anyway I don't know. Curiosity, boredom." Jeremy answered, replying to Tyler's earlier question. "What did it say?"
"Well, it turns out that it's part of this Aztec legend but I want to make sure it's the same kind of stone. You think I could check it out again?" Jeremy asked, Tyler just shook his head. "Nope. I gave it to my Uncle." He said.
"What!?" Sienna blurted. "Why did you do that?" Jeremy asked. "Because I'm done with legends and curses. I don't want anything to do with it, okay?" Tyler huffed. "Yeah, yeah sure. It's probably... just, uh, stupid folklore anyways. Forget it." Jeremy trailed off.
Lexa and Sienna glanced at eachother, before they quickly disappeared, off to the Lockwood mansion to do some searching, with the idea that Mason may have it hidden in the room he was staying in.
What the group wasn't aware of, is that Stefan and Damon had been listening to the entire conversation. They looked at each other, Damon clearly pissed, but Stefan just shrugged it off before they walked away.
