As Alexia Gilbert walked through the quiet hallway of Mystic Falls high school, she felt uneasy by its silence. She was finishing packing away some last things from the carnival.

She entered a classroom and placed some stuff away, but stopped aa she heard something zoom pass the doorway. The Gilbert blinked in surprise before she walked out into the hallway. "Hello?" She called out.

Lexa turned a corner, jumping in fright as she saw Caroline Forbes, her best friend, in front of her. "Caroline, you scared me." Alexia confessed as Caroline laughed. "It looks to me like the carnival was a big success, thank you Lexa." The Forbes hummed before she walked forward to embrace her best friend.

The two girls hugged, and Lexa went to pull away, though as she did she found Caroline's hand cupping her cheek. The Gilbert shot her friend a slight confused expression, before the blonde leant in and kissed her. Lexa was shocked to say the least, but closed her eyes and kissed back.

Giggling was heard, causing Lexa's eyes to shoot open. She found Natasha standing in her room, giggling like a child. "Tasha?! What the hell are you doing in my room?" Lexa asked, before she threw a pillow at the heretic. "Did you mess with my head?" The Gilbert asked.

Natasha shrugged, "Hey, I was just showing you how you wished last night had ended.. that is all." She insisted as Lexa frowned, "No it wasn't— you still didn't tell me, why you are here?" Lexa added, skeptically. "Oh cmon, don't tell me you no longer light a candle for Miss Forbes?" Natasha asked, a childish smile on her lips. Lexa frowned, "I have a girlfriend." She reminded the Petrova.

"Whatever." Natasha shrugged, changing the topic. "I'm here because I need your help, my love. Today we are going to take down Katherine." The Pierce girl declared. "So go have some food, maybe some coffee too and we'll be on our way."

Meanwhile Sienna was in the kitchen, making coffee and pancakes for herself, Lexa and the rest of the Gilberts. "Wow, you must be smitten." Elena said, standing in the doorway. Sienna laughed, "Just a little."

Elena smiled at Sienna as she made them breakfast. "All I've ever wanted for Lexa is to see her happy.. I've never seen her as happy as she is with you." She insisted as Sienna suddenly was smiling from ear to ear. "Really?" She asked, trying to hide that she was grinning like an idiot. "Yeah really." Elena chuckled.

Suddenly, Lexa came downstairs, surprised to see her girlfriend making breakfast. "Hey, Cece." She greeted her girlfriend as Sienna smiled, "Morning, doll." They shared a kiss, causing Jeremy to groan from across the room, "Keep it PG please." He ordered. "Oh quiet little Gilbert." The Lockwood huffed.

Sienna and Lexa sat down at the kitchen table, their plates of pancakes and mugs of coffee in front of them. Sienna watched as Elena walked out of the house, and entered a car with Damon and Alaric. "Where are they going?" The Lockwood asked.

"Damon has a sudden interest in finding out what the Lockwoods are, so they're going to do some digging I believe." Lexa answered, before she took a sip from her mug. Sienna looked concerned now, "Did you.. tell them anything?" She asked. Lexa quickly shook her head, "Of course not. I promised to keep your secret, babe."

Matt knocked at her door. Caroline stood still, as she was in her house but couldn't go and let Matt inside as rays of sunshine was shining in front of the door. "Caroline? Caroline!" Matt called.

Caroline sat on the floor beside the rays of sunshine, feeling defeated. Matt calls her phone but she doesn't answer, so the Donovan leaves a message. "Hey, I thought you said you were at home. Tyler is doing this whole thing at the swimming hole and I want us to spend the day together. Where are you? Call me." He hung up the phone and left, as Caroline sighed, feeling helpless.

"So what makes you think Katherine is here?" Alexia asked, as the pair of doppelgängers were walking by the falls. "I asked her to meet us here." Natasha answered chirpily.

"Considering you're about to end your sisters life, you're very chirpy." Lexa confessed as Natasha shrugged, "I hate her for leaving me in that tomb. Plus she is strutting around all perfectly like she didn't just make my life hell.. and I know she will do the same to you and Elena."

Lexa hoped she was making the right decision, trusting Natasha. She knew she sure as hell couldn't trust Katherine.

Bonnie held Emily's grimoire in her hands, facing Stefan and Caroline who sat in Caroline's room. The newly turned vampire studied her new daylight ring in her hand. "So, I don't get to choose the ring I have to wear the rest of my life?" She scoffed as Bonnie deadpanned her, "Hey, if you don't want it..."

"No, no, she wants it." Stefan insisted. "Now what?" Caroline asked, impatiently.

Bonnie spoke, "Now is the part where I explain the rules. The witch who spells the ring has the power to de-spell it so if you ever do anything to hurt anyone..." She was interrupted as Caroline insisted, "I'm not gonna hurt anyone."

"You are a vampire that mean the urge to kill is a part of who you are. The minute you let it take over, I will stop you." The witch declared as Caroline frowned. "Bonnie, you're supposed to be my friend!"

"I can't ignore what happened, okay? If you want to be friends, you have to prove that the Caroline I remember isn't gone. Now put the ring on the bed." The Bennett ordered. Caroline obeyed and placed the ring on her bed.

"Do you really think I meant to kill that guy at the carnival?" The blonde asked, seeming offended. "He's still dead. Now, do you want me to cast the spell or not?" Bonnie asked.

Bonnie opened the curtain a little bit as the sun now shined on the ring. The witch looked at the ring and closed her eyes a moment and finally opened them. "All done." She said as she gave the ring to Caroline.

"So that's it?" Caroline asked, as she slid the ring on her finger. "I mean nothing witchy happened. You know, no flickering lights, no gust of wind. Have you even done this before?" She asked. "Caroline..." Stefan frowned.
Caroline answered, "What? I just want to make sure that it worked!"

Bonnie suddenly opened the curtain, causing Caroline to shriek. The rays of light were shining on Caroline, and nothing was happening, indicating that the magic had worked. "It worked."

"What if it hadn't Bonnie?!"

Bonnie then closed the grimoire and looked to Stefan before saying, "She's all yours."

Caroline and Stefan were in the woods, as Stefan was teaching the new vampire how to hunt.

"So what I do when I see the rabbit?" Caroline asked, as Stefan turned to her. "Chase it, catch it, feed on it." He answered. Caroline shook her head in disgust, "Isn't killing cute defenseless animals the first step in becoming a serial killer?" She asked. "Well, you sort of skipped the serial killer and went straight to vampire. Caroline, if you're not serious about all of this I think you should tell me." Stefan insisted

Caroline sighed, "No I am. Look, I swear that I am okay? But it's just...I haven't been in the sun for days and everyone is at the swimming hole having fun and Matt is there! And he finally told me that he loved me but I have been blowing him off. Lexa has weirdly been on my mind a lot too- and now you want me to eat bunnies and I'm kind of freaking out okay?!" She blurted, causing Stefan to break out into laughter.

Caroline just deadpanned the Salvatore, "And now you're laughing at me." She crossed her arms, annoyed. "No, no, I'm not laughing. None of this is funny, trust me. It's just that..." Stefan trailed off as Caroline snapped. "What?!"

"When someone becomes a vampire, all of their natural behaviors get sort of amplified." Stefan explained as Caroline looked a little puzzled, "What do you mean?" She then asked. "I mean...as a human I cared deeply for people, how they felt. If they were hurting I felt their pain and I felt guilty if I was the one who caused it and as a vampire all of that got...magnified." He explained.

Caroline groaned, "So you're saying that now I'm basically an insecure, neurotic control freak...on crack?" He asked. "And not only am I in love with Matt but I'm really starting to question my feelings for my very best friend." She huffed. "Well, I wasn't gonna say it like that but..." Stefan trailed off. "What do you mean you're questioning your feelings for your Lexa?" The vampire suddenly asked.

Caroline tried not to blush as she looked away, "I am straight- I swear! But ever since I turned.. I can't get Lexa out of my mind." She confessed. "It's weird, we have always just been best friends.. but now I'm wondering if I feel more for her than what a best friend would.." Caroline admitted before she faced Stefan. "You can not tell anybody that! Especially not Lexa! God this is so weird." She ordered.

"Hey, listen, I won't tell anybody especially not Lexa. She should be hearing this from you, not me. But for the record, it isn't weird. Love is love, and if you really think that you might fancy Lexa, constantly telling yourself that you're straight is not ever going to give you the chance to try and find out." He spoke as Caroline was listening intently, before she gave a nod.

"Let's hunt okay? And then after that we'll go to the swimming hole." Stefan said as Caroline smiled brightly now, "Really?" She asked. Stefan nodded, "Yeah. Matt is one of the closest connections that you have to your humanity and I think that being around him is a good thing." Stefan decided. "Okay." The Forbes smiled.

"Well well well, it has been a while, sissy." Katherine spoke, as she strutted over to Natasha, her arms crossed. "Over a century, actually." Natasha spoke, her usual chirpy tone was instead cold.

"What did you call me here for? Did you want a little family reunion?" Katherine asked. Natasha laughed, "No actually, I want to kill you. You just walked into my trap." She said cheerfully. "What?" Katherine asked.

Suddenly, a needle filled with vervain was stabbed into Katherine's arm, as Lexa, who had been standing behind the doppelgänger cloaked, reappeared.

"I need to write that cloaking spell down." Lexa insisted, before looking down at Katherine's limp body. "Now what?" She asked her doppelgänger. "Now we are going to lock her into a coffin and drop her at the bottom of a river." Natasha declared.
