008. spill the beans

"Alright.." Stefan decided. Lexa looked up at her house, and bit her lip before she looked back at Stefan. "But not here. We can't talk here." She decided. "Shall we go for a walk?" Stefan then asked, earning a nod from the brunette.

The pair then began walking, heading away from the Gilbert household. They made small talk as they walked, and once Lexa felt like they were somewhere where they couldn't be eavesdropped on, she stopped and faced Stefan.

"I know you are hiding something.. something big.. because you are not an ordinary human.." Lexa said bluntly, as she crossed her arms. Stefan chuckled nervously at her harsh tone, he found it so strange how different Elena and Lexa were personality wise, considering they were identical twins. "It seems to me like you're hiding something too.. there's nothing ordinary about you." Stefan admitted in response.

Lexa bit her lip, before she sighed. The only person in Mystic Falls currently who knew of this secret was Bonnie. She really didn't want to tell somebody that she hardly knew.. but it seemed like he wasn't going to come clean unless she did first, smart move.

"I'm a kind of witch, a siphoner to be exact." Lexa confessed, "I can't use my own powers, I have to siphon magic from a magical being or object. Neither Elena nor Jeremy know, I don't want them to fear me." She explained. Stefan was surprised, not by what she was.. he did figure that out on his own.. but she was surprised she'd come clean about it.. as Lexa seemed to be quite protective of this secret.

"Is that... all of it?" Stefan asked, feeling like Lexa had more to hide, and she did. "Yep. That's all of it." Lexa responded, not wanting to open up about her double life even more and tell the Salvatore that she was a struggling addict who was having rage problems.

Stefan shuffled his feet nervously, he didn't want to tell Lexa his secret, but he also knew she wouldn't tell anyone.. not now that she'd entrusted her own secret to him. "Do you really want to know what I am? It will change all of the beliefs you currently have.." Stefan said, assuringly. "I can use magic, and I met many others that can too... I don't know what to believe in anymore." Lexa responded.

A silence grew between them now, as Lexa gave Stefan a weak smile, "Cmon man, it's your turn to spill the beans." She teased. Stefan sighed, looking away from the girl for a moment, before he regained eye contact with her. "I'm a vampire." He confessed.

Lexa wanted something to get her mind off of drugs... well Stefan had done it. He'd opened her eyes even more to the world of the supernatural, and now it was like all she'd been able to think about.

"I think Lexa is still in bed.. she seems to be struggling to get up today." Jenna confessed to Elena, who was asking her Aunt questions. "She won't be in bed for much longer." Elena declared, before she walked over to her twin sister's bedroom.

Lexa laid in bed, her head still rattled from her discussion with Stefan the previous night... she couldn't believe vampires were real.

"Stefan.. I think you need to stay away from my sister.." The Gilbert had choked out, as she took a step back. "Lexa, I would never do anything to hurt Elena, I promise you." Stefan said calmly as the Gilbert seemed to be a bit panicked.

Lexa knew she couldn't keep Stefan and Elena apart.. as much as she wanted to. Stefan really liked Elena, and the feeling was definitely mutual.. Elena had already seemed a lot happier in the short time she'd known Stefan.

"How do I know you won't hurt her? After all she is a human.. surely you want her blood." Lexa stammered. Stefan sighed, he couldn't deny it.. he did feel a craving for her blood.. but he was working on it. "I really like your sister, Lexa. I promise you I won't hurt her.. infact I'm trying to protect her by not telling her what I really am." Stefan said, before giving her an empathetic look. "Just like you're doing."

Lexa furrowed her eyebrows in frustration, before she let out a sigh. She finally knew the truth about Stefan.. but she felt like they were the same.. just two people who cared deeply about Elena, and wanted to protect her from themselves.

"I won't tell Elena what you are, providing you do the same for me." Lexa spoke. Stefan gave her a nod, "Of course." He insisted. "And a warning.. if any harm comes to Elena or Jeremy.. or anyone I love, because of you.. I will come after you." Lexa threatened the vampire.

Lexa had the covers over her head, hoping to fall back to sleep.. she had gotten home so late after talking to Stefan.. she felt like she needed more sleep before starting off the day. Her bedroom door swung open, "Morning Lexa!" Elena chimed, earning a groan from her twin. Elena then rolled her eyes before she pulled the blanket off of her twin. "Cmon sleepyhead, we're leaving in fifteen." She ordered.

Tyler, Sienna and Allira were about to enter the school gates, but were stopped by Jeremy. "Hey, Tyler. Hey, I'm sorry to interrupt. I was just wondering how Vicki's doing, since you guys are so close. Is she ok?" The Gilbert asked.

"She's fine. Now get out of my way." Tyler scolded Jeremy. "How bad is she? Do they know what attacked her? Is she going to make a full recovery? Was she happy to see you? What room number was she in?" Jeremy asked a heap of questions. "Jer..." Allira sighed, not wanting to deal with this, especially first thing in the morning.

Sienna rolled her eyes, "Seriously guys.. all this drama and hatred for Vicki fucking Donovan?" She asked, crossing her arms as she looked unimpressed. The pair ignored her complaint.

"I'm gonna kick your ass." Tyler snarled at Jeremy. "Yeah, you keep saying that, but when are you actually going to do it? Huh? 'Cause I vote for right here and right now." Jeremy growled.

Sienna just groaned loudly before she turned to Jeremy, "Just walk away, Gilbert." She suggested. "It's your final warning." Tyler declared, as Jeremy walked away, followed by Allira.

Elena, Lexa and Matt walked together through the corridor, the twins asking Matt about Vicki. "They're keeping her overnight to make sure there's no infection, but she should be able to come home tomorrow." Matt explained to the twins. "That's good news." Elena nodded. "Yeah." Matt responded.

"Did you get in touch with your mom?" Lexa asked, changing the subject. "Called and left a message. She's in Virginia Beach with her boyfriend, so...we'll see how long it takes her to come rushing home." Matt said, rolling his eyes. "Vicki's lucky that she's okay..." Lexa trailed off.

"I know.." Matt trailed off. "And now there's talk of some missing campers." He added. "That's so strange.." Elena admitted, nervously. "Did Vick say what kind of animal it was that attacked her?" Lexa asked now. "She said it was a vampire." Matt confessed. "What?" Elena blurted, in surprise.

Lexa stayed quiet, as she looked at Matt in surprise.. she then wondered, is Stefan responsible for this? "Yeah, she wakes up last night and mutters vampire and then passes out." Matt explained. "Okay that is really weird." Elena responded. "I think she was drunk. So what's up with you and the new guy?" Matt then asked, changing the topic, as they'd passed Stefan talking to other people.. but what they didn't know is that he was listening in on their conversation.

Lexa continued to stay quiet, as the pair talked, now about Stefan. "Matt, the last thing that I want to do is hurt you." Elena sighed. "You know, I'm...I'm actually gonna go back to the hospital. I want to be there when Vicki wakes up, get the real story about last night." Matt decided, before he walked away from the twins.

Elena sighed, feeling like she'd upset Matt. Alexia put a hand on her shoulder, comfortingly. "Cmon, lets go inside." She suggested.

Later that day, Bonnie, Caroline, Elena and Lexa sat around a table at the Mystic grill. "I was talking to Grams, and she said the comet is a sign of impending doom. The last time it passed over Mystic Falls, there was lots of death. So much blood and carnage, it created a bed of paranormal activity." Bonnie explained to her friends. "Yeah, and then you poured Grams another shot and she told you about the aliens." Caroline huffed, before facing Elena. Bonnie laughed awkwardly in response to Caroline, earning a sympathetic look from Lexa.

"So then what else happened with Stefan?" Caroline asked, referring to the night of the party. "So then.. nothing!" Elena admitted, as they'd just been talking and enjoying eachother's company. "You and Stefan talked all night? There was no sloppy first kiss or touchy feely of any kind?" Caroline asked, unconvinced. "Not sure if I want to know any of this.." Lexa said awkwardly, hoping they could change the conversation.

"Nope. We didn't go there." Elena declared. "Not even a handshake? I mean, Elena, we are your friends. Ok? You are supposed to share the smut." Caroline huffed, as if she hadn't previously been interested in Stefan and was now more interested in whatever business he had with Elena. "We just talked for hours." Elena concluded.

"OK, what is with the blockage? Just jump his bones already!" Caroline huffed, earning a surprised laugh from Bonnie and Lexa, whilst Elena just looked at the blonde in surprise, her cheeks reddening. "Ok, it's easy. Boy likes girl, girl likes boy, sex!" Caroline huffed, clapping her hands together, before her eyes wandered to Alexia. "Or for a bisexual disaster like Lexa.. it could instead be girl likes girl, sex!" Caroline grinned causing Lexa to smirk. "You know it, babes." The siphon replied.

"Profound." Elena responded, before getting out of her seat. "Where are you going?" Bonnie asked. "Caroline's right. It is easy. If I sit here long enough, I'll end up talking myself out of it instead of doing what I started the day saying what I was going to do." She said, deciding to visit Stefan. The Gilbert then left.

"Finally, she's gonna get some action.. I was starting to worry you were getting all the action for the both of you." Caroline huffed, before she turned to Lexa. Lexa just blushed, as Bonnie laughed awkwardly.

"I mean.. I've only ever slept with two people.. and honestly I wish I could take it all back." Lexa admitted quietly. "What... sleeping with Tyler?" Bonnie laughed, causing Lexa to blush heavily. "If I could take that back.. I would." She grumbled. "But I wish I never slept with Vicki... or even got involved with her in the first place." Lexa thought.

"Wait.. am I missing something?" Caroline asked, earning confused looks from Bonnie and Lexa. "Oh god please tell me you didn't sleep with Vicki.." Caroline groaned. Caroline was so supportive of Lexa being bisexual, but she hated the fact that she'd, in her opinion, stooped so low to date Vicki Donovan— She was such a player, and she manipulated Lexa in so many ways. "Well.. I won't tell you then." Lexa just smirked, as Caroline rolled her eyes, knowingly.

"I um.. am actually was hoping to go and visit Vicki..." Lexa admitted, standing up now. Guilt was eating away at her, and she needed to make sure that her ex was okay. "Yeah of course!" Bonnie smiled. "Please tell me you two aren't getting back together." Caroline pleaded. "She doesn't deserve you!" The blonde added. Caroline often came off as controlling, but she had never liked what Vicki had done to Lexa.

"That I can definitely tell you." Lexa replied bluntly, "We're not ever getting back together, I swear. I'm just going to make sure she's doing okay." The brunette insisted, before she walked away.

"Honestly Caroline.. that sounded like jealousy." Bonnie teased, as Caroline frowned. "I am not jealous!" She huffed in response. Lexa heard the pair and laughed quietly to herself though she couldn't help but blush slightly.

And in that moment.. Lexa thought to herself, that she would enjoy being in a relationship with Caroline, if she'd give her the chance. Lexa then blushed heavily, "Why would I think of something like that?" She wondered awkwardly. "We're best friends."

The door to Vicki's hospital room opened and in walked a familiar brunette. "Hey. How do you feel?" Alexia asked, with a smile. "I'm OK!" Vicki responded, not really wanting to see the Gilbert.

"I...I'm gonna...I'm gonna go grab a coffee. Hey, Lexa." Matt said, before he exited the room. "Why are you here?" Vicki asked bluntly, as Lexa walked over to the side of the bed. "I just wanted to see how you were doing." She insisted.

"I thought you didn't care about me." Vicki said coldly, catching Lexa off guard. "I never said that.. I said we're not dating again." Lexa corrected her. "Amongst other things." Vicki frowned at the Gilbert, who looked away from her.

"And as much as I wish we never got involved... and I blame you for changing me... I do care about you.. after all I'm the one who ran after you." Lexa admitted with a weak smile, though it did upset her that Vicki really thought she didn't care about her... then she remembered how she completely ripped into the girl moments before she got attacked.

"You were?" Vicki asked, seeming surprised. "Yeah, Jeremy carried you out of the woods." Lexa added. "Thank you." The orange haired girl said, now smiling. "And tell Jeremy I said thanks." She added.

"You're welcome." Lexa said softly, smiling back. Vicki then took Lexa's hand gently, and held it. The brunette looked down at their hands and smiled weakly. "I'm really glad you came to check up on me, Lexa." Vicki said, as Lexa looked back up at her ex, but didn't say anything.
