A LIFE OF luxury was something unfamiliar to Delaney Rockwell. Living in a 3 bedroom apartment, in New York, with her mother and older brother. They had to work for a living, with her mother working double shifts, saving lives at a hospital, and her brother working late nights delivering pizza, and so it was shocking to find out about her grandmother's mansion, which she visited every single summer since she was 5, being left to her mother, along with almost everything else her grandmother owned, including a large stack of money.

Outer Banks, paradise on earth. Well that's what the airplane captain said when they got to their location. With a limousine driving them to her new home, she had thought her day couldn't get any better, that was until she saw multiple figures lined up at the doorstep. The boy she had loved ever since she was ten, standing along them.

Word traveled fast within the island of OBX, and so with the news of a new family of, soon to be, kooks moving there, the Pogues were sure to be there for their arrival. And so they stood, looking over the wall, watching as the family got out the limousine. And with the thought of there being one more Pogue in their group, JJ Maybank had the smart idea of becoming a, part time, summer lawnmower. And thus, the cruel summer began.
