It has been a year since Daphne's big debut into the season and now it was Eloise Bridgerton and Emmaline Davison's turn. For Eloise, the girl hated every second of it, but for Emmaline Davison... Well, the young girl had mixed feelings all throughout.

She loved and despised it all at the same time. When the young Davison girl was a child, she longed for the days she would come of age and take part in the ton.  Getting all dressed up in the finest dresses, the finest silk, enjoying the dances, finding true love... she wanted to experience it all. Her mother, Viscountess Eleanor Davison, would often tell her the story of how her father and her had met. Saying it was love at first sight.

Before Cecilia was born, Emmaline and her siblings got to experience first hand seeing the purest love from their parents, Emmaline hoping that one day she'll be able to find the same love that her parents did. But years later, her father, the Viscount Thomas Davison, completely changed.

He wasn't the same kind man he once was. He became distant, more absent and aggressive especially toward her mother and her younger sister Cecilia, until she stepped in trying to protect them in some way, which led to Thomas taking all of his anger and frustration out on Emmaline. He wasn't supportive of her dreams, thinking they were ridiculous and stating that no women should be a writer. He was never pleased with all of her accomplishments, in his eyes she would never be good enough.

Since then, she's utterly been afraid of falling in love, fearing that everyone she'll love will leave and abandon her eventually, never wanting to marry. However she can't avoid her duty and debut any longer.

But she doesn't know that a certain Viscount is finally ready to settle down and on the lookout for finding his Viscountess this season.

Will this season make their hatred grow even more for one another or bring them closer again?

Or better yet, would it make them question their own feelings for one another?
