The sight of three high-level recruits being thrown around by a ragdoll while the fourth member of their group clashed her blades with a lazily drawn sheathed sword bound by chains.

"You got better," Rex Crozzo said, looking at the determined and disheveled look on her face. Numerous bruises can be seen on her body as she tries to get off the sword bind, only to be overpowered by the older male and be pinned on the ground with the sword pointed at her neck.

"You told us he was retired!" Carole whined with a pout as she balanced herself on her stomach, on top of some rubble.

Shy just trembled as she looked at Rex and how he effortlessly dismantled their team. They were one of the best! Trained by a Herrscher and...

"Rex is retired due to his injuries," Bronya said, nodding at Rex. Despite her aloof look, she was impressed. While he was a lot slower compared during the war, he was able to see their moves easily and predicted the best outcome. "But Rex was a frontline during the final battle."

"Bronya," Rex warned and the girl's eyes widened and winced.

"Sorry, Rex,"

"If he retired due to injuries... how much damage did he take?"

"Try juggling 13 Herrschers in a gauntlet," Rex revealed as he looked at them while cracking the bone on his neck. "Was pretty painful and the 13th..." He whispered they were well-matched. While they were only fragments of the original Herrschers, the 13th was in its full power and it was not Kiana. The 12th was tricky since he had to speed blitz it and it managed to weaken the binds he had with his Geo Gnosis but the 13th... he lost his Gnosis after the 13th.

An image of a broken and bloody Rex standing over the corpse of the 13th Herrscher, the Herrscher of Time. A dragon, slain, curled around them. A tattered sleeve danced with the wind as he looked at a missing leg.

All for Glory.

Victory has a price, and he paid it in full.

"I knew I will find you here," A disembodied voice echoed in the empty training room. It was soft, filled with fondness with hints of annoyance.

"Well, look at the time," Rex said as he turned around to leave.

In front of him stood Kiana Kaslana. His beloved ex-wife, best friend, partner, etc.

"Where are you going?" Kiana asked with a soft smile. A smile that sent shivers down his spine.

"Well, I have some meetings in the afternoon," Rex explained as Kiana smiled at him.

"The truth, Rex," Kiana said gently as she looked at him, taking notes of his body language, and pressed on as she spotted a very very slight jolt from his left hand. Got you.

"He's being a pussy! He cleared his schedule for today!" Rin shouted from behind Adam, who yelped when the sheathed sword hit her forehead square on.

"Well, since you are not busy," Kiana said with a smile, moving quickly to hug his left arm, ignoring the cold as she looked up at him. "I happen to have a pair of tickets for the new Deadpool movie along with a reservation to the new museum exhibit," Kiana said, showing him some tickets.

"But-,"

A cold look from Kiana stopped Adam from his tracks. She knew how her ex-husband could be with training and she would not let anyone stop her from hanging out with him.

a familiar soft hand on top of her head made her relax and lean in.

"Stop scaring Adam," Rex said with a gentle smile, in contrast to his action of knocking Rin out cold with a thrown-sheathed sword. "Well, if you're not-,"

"I'm not busy!" Kiana said with a smile. Knowing of his eccentricities, she knew he was up for it but did not want to bother her. Not like he would.

"Well, we can go on a da- I mean-," He was stopped by a soft pair of lips from his ex-wife.

"It's a date!" Kiana said with a smile as she hugged him tight, peeking over his shoulder to look at Bronya. 'I'm better,' he mouthed to her with a-

Before they could be stopped, Kiana opened a portal to the Crozzo estate and pulled Rex along, leaving a highly-annoyed Bronya with a dazed Rin, and confused students.
