Over the weeks, her minions had done as she commanded, doing what they would normally. So for most of the day, they were at the mines digging up coal and stone.  

But they also dug up marvelous gemstones from which she would occasionally take. At first, they had insisted upon singing while they work, but she had quickly shut down the idea.

"My lady, any gems you see to your liking?" asked one of the dwarves. She couldn't remember his name, why she didn't even try, for she was much too busy scheming.

"No, go ahead and do whatever it is you do with them," she said, bored.

For that's what she was. Bored. Bored with the 7 men. Bored with the queen. Why hadn't she struck yet? What was taking so long? Then, came knocking at the door.

"Slaves, get the door."

"It is for you.”

The queen thought up a plan - she would not kill the child, oh no never. But so that the kingdom was safe she would neutralize the problem. She would put Snow White in a slumber.

But how could she deliver the poison? She could always put it into her drink... but that would be too risky.

She had it! She could put it in her meal. It wouldn’t be risky unless she brought the food herself! She could poison an apple. Since her youth, Snow White loved apples. She always said she loved how sweet they were.

So the queen found the poison she’d been given and put three drops of it on the apple. But how would she get it to Snow White? Going herself was too risky. Then she saw one of her staff, oh how horrible she felt for even thinking it, but it was the only thing she could do.

She politely asked the lady if she could do her the favor of going into the forest, finding the cottage, and just giving Snow White an apple. She was confused, of course, but she agreed because of how much the queen had done for her.

The queen told the lady that a hunter would accompany her so that she was safe. She also made sure to tell her not to eat the apple, no matter how tempting. So off the lady went with the hunter.
