Chapter 24
"The nerve of him!"
Nikki shouted as Crowley and she walked through the halls of Hell. Leaves scattered across the corners of the ground, her feet kicking at them as she walked. Crowley himself quiet while he watched her fuming.
"He lied to you again! I can't believe that asshat! That stupid -- "
She bit her bottom lip as her hands curled into fists.
"I need to punch something..."
She huffed. Crowley halted his walking which caused her to do the same. Glancing over her shoulder she seen Crowley standing back a few feet away. His eyes seemed different as he stood there quietly thinking.
"Crowley?"
"Dean used you to get me to do what he wanted done."
He admitted. Pivoting she faced him. His gaze flickered toward her while having an expression somewhere between sad and angry.
"These damn... feelings!"
He hissed walking toward her now. She watched Crowley lift his arm and touch her shoulder. His grab teleported them to their chambers. She felt like the wind was knocked from her when Crowley's lips fell on hers.
His taste intoxicating. Closing her eyes she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back with just as much determination that he kissed her with.
"Cr--"
She barely managed even half his name as his lips and teeth trailed down her neck and over top her breasts. She cried out feeling his teeth sink into her skin leaving bruised markings while he tugged away her shirt top.
Shifting her back against the bed Crowley laid her back while thrusting against her clothed crouch. She hissed her fingers trying to reach his buttons on his jacket, but he pulled away before she could.
"No. Not tonight. I'm in control. So, you listen to Daddy now."
Her face warmed as she nodded her head. Dean really have gotten to Crowley tonight making Crowley need to know he was still in control of things.
"We're going to be lucky if we ever see her again!"
Judy snapped. What Dean had done was unfathomable to her. He had lied to Crowley in order to get the blade, but had also told Crowley that Nikki was a descendant of Cain and therefore on his hit list.
She seen the way Nikki glared at Dean as if she was going to stab him. They had to be careful. She was soulless and therefore dangerous. She had heard stories about soulless Sam and they weren't any fun. Then when Dean was the same way, he tried killing her and Sam both.
Dean was not going about this a smart way at all.
"Look I did what I had to do! It's done ain't no changing it!"
Dean snapped causing Judy to want to choke the man and probably would have if he wasn't driving the Impala. Sam lifted his hands and smacked them against his knees.
"Alright look. We get it. You're both mad this didn't turn out the way we had all hoped, but Cain is gone now -- "
"And who knows when the next time will be when Nikki comes around thanks to it all!"
Judy huffed as she laid back in the back seat of the Impala. Her arms crossed over her chest as she sat back glaring out the window. Sam rolled his eyes unable to even say anything to make Judy not mad at them both -- but mostly Dean.
Course Judy didn't have just this to focuse on but also the wrath of her father once they returned to the bunker. She could only imagine how utterly pissed he would be due to the fact that she had been roaming around with an angel, Lord forbid what he would do if he found out what had transpired between the two of them.
"Lets just try and get back home. From there we can figure something out that might work."
Sam said just wanting everyone to calm down.
Inhaling deeply Nikki laid naked against Crowley as the two of them were in bed. He was sat up somewhat against the headboard with a glass in his hand.
"I need to go check in with mother."
He said lowly glancing down at her. She gazed up at him with a frown.
"You act like she has some type of hold over you, you know?"
"Do I?"
She hummed moving her finger against his chest.
"You have to remember all the things you told me about her. She might be your mother, but she was terrible to you as a child. Children don't deserve that type of upbringing."
She said moving to sit up and kiss Crowley on the lips softly. He moaned a little leaning back in and kissing her again only his lasted longer and felt more emotional than hers.
"Don't let her control you. She's the one that needs to make you happy, not the other way around."
Her soft spoken words were enough to have Crowley thinking that perhaps she was right. But if he knew his mother as well as he would like to think Crowley would be waiting a very long time before he would ever hear an apology from that ungrateful bitch.
Some many hours later Sam, Dean, and Judy all returned to the bunker. Of course her family was still there waiting on their return. Her father was no where in sight from what she could see which she supposed was a good thing.
"How'd it go?"
Laura called out from the Library. Of course the woman would have been in the Library. She hasn't he access to this type of knowledge since... well, nobody knew really.
"Uh, good. The hunt went good."
Sam said having missed the woman who had been over at the corner of the room. He arched a brow looking at the woman. Clearing his throat he glanced at his brother, who was sitting his stuff down on the table. Judy, however, was looking around the room.
"Where's dad?"
She asked having her aunt look up from her book.
"He's left. He wasn't too happy about you being friends with an angel."
She explained causing Sam to look at Judy.
"Did he say where he was going?"
Sam questioned looking back at Laura. She looked at him before closing her book and setting it down on the table by the chair.
"Hunting. Like always."
She huffed rising from the chair. Sam and Dean didn't know just what to make of the family just yet. Thought they had a pretty good understanding of Michael from their dad's old stories the rest of the family was pretty much a mystery to them.
"You've had your nose stuck in a book since you got here."
Dean commented zipping up his bag. Laura eyed him from across the room.
"And?"
"And I'm just wondering what it is you can bring to the table to help?"
Laura scoffed crossing her arms over her chest. Turning she reached and grabbed the book she had been reading before Walking over to the table and holding it up for Dean to see.
"Do you know what this is?"
"A book."
Judy and Sam glanced at each other as Laura and Dean were talking.
"Not just any book. Look who it's written by."
She said putting the book down on the table to allow Dean to look it over. He glanced at the title and the name of the author.
"Forest Lee Brandenburg? Is that suppose to mean something?"
Judy's head snapped to attention as did Sam's. It was only after the words left Dean's mouth did he realise just how stupid that sounded once catching himself and chuckled.
"You're kidding me? Your family member?"
"My grandfather."
"He was a Men of Letters?"
Sam asked stepping forward. Laura crossed her arms.
"A powerful warlock. Though I didn't know until I found the book that he was part of this place... I always wondered what those long distant business meetings were about."
"Now you do."
Dean replied. Judy stood there feeling the world shift beneath her feet. She was a descendant of the Men of Letters, her and Nikki both?
"Ah Nikki, dear! Just the one I was hoping ta see!"
Rowena called out in the middle of the hallway as the younger was talking with a small group of demons.
"I'll find you all later."
She told them having them all how before they left. Turning around she came face to face with Rowena. The older woman was smiling and why she did not know.
"Tell me dear, ye said yer wee ma' was a friend to the Winchesters aye?"
"Nope. Never said that."
Nikki said turning on her heels and trying to walk away from the red head, but the older woman followed after her and continued to talk.
"I could have sworn that's what I heard."
"Didn't hear it from me. Gossip ain't really my thing."
"Oh and of course not dear! What with you bein' Queen of Hell and all! No need to abide ya time with idle gossip -- "
"What do you want, Rowena?"
Her bored tone was a clean implication that she didn't want anything to do with Rowena right now. Clearing her throat the red head stepped a bit closer with her hands clasped together.
"Well, yer maw is a witch and I am a witch, well, I thought perhaps she might have interest in -- "
"I can tell you right now, Rowena, my mother works alone and has done so ever since her coven had been disbanded. My great-grandfather was the last person of magic to ever even work with a group from what I know. Now if you'll excuse me, I have important matters."
She said turning her back on Rowena and walking through the halls. Rowena did not dare follow which she thanked and welcomed. Her walk wasn't long at all as she came strolling past the throne room and found it empty. Stopping for a moment she backed up and looked at the throne.
Sliding into the room and walking up the steps to the chair she stood there just looking at it.
"Why don't you have a seat? I'm sure you'd look lovely."
Her lips twitched to the sound of Crowley's voice. Turning around Nikki smiled seeing Crowley walking in behind her. His hands in his pockets and just looking dashing as ever.
"No. It's not my place nor do I want it."
Crowley smirked.
"Your mother was asking if my mother was friends with the Winchesters -- why?"
Crowley looked up at her confused. She didn't know if he was toying with her or really didn't know why.
"Why indeed? Your mother isn't she part of my mothers coven?"
"I dunno."
She said with her arms crossed and with a shrug.
"She's a witch, grandpa was supposedly friends with John Winchester, war buddies from Nam, but mom never liked John. But my grandpa knew John because my great-grandpa and John's dad were friends."
Crowley tapped his finger thinking. And then he looked at her.
"My mother has taken a very odd interest in the Winchesters lately. Might have something to do with the witch I had brought in -- "
"Witch? What witch?"
"My mother's grand coven ring leader. I had her brought to her to do with as she pleased. Ended up turning the old hag into a hamster."
Crowley chuckled his smile showing in his eyes. Nikki frowned deeply.
"And lemme guess you dunno what was said or why?"
"No."
"And now suddenly questions of my mom are coming into light and you have no idea why?"
"Well, no -- "
"And these questions are coming from your power hungry mother, who has now taken an interest in not only the Winchesters, but my mother was well? Did it ever occur to you that she could be after my mother next?"
Crowley sat there with his mouth closed for a moment he kept his eyes locked on her as he approached closer.
"I've told her that my dealings with the Winchesters are my own. Your cousin said that your parents were in the bunker together -- if my mother is really after yours, then your charming mother is in one of the safest places to be."
"I hope so. I might be soulless, but I know the moment my soul returns I'd kick my own ass if anything ever happened to my family."
"Perhaps it's time for a new family?"
Crowley questioned slowly looking down at her. Arching her brow she didn't know what he meant at all.
