Hello!

In order to actually pick up drawing again (and hopefully improve), I figured that a weekly challenge of my own would be a nice incentive.

I then figured that I may as well make it public in case anyone else wants to participate.

If you do participate, please let me know so I can see it!

(Also, the animals for the 2025 prompts have already been pre-selected, so all requests will appear in the 2026 prompts.)

Now, onto the specifics:

An animal will be chosen for each month on a whim or at the request of any participants.

Most months will have different animals chosen every year.
(Ex: March 2025 is cats and March 2026 is dogs.)

A few months will not change in their chosen animal, those being:
January, February, May, June, July.

Specific species will be chosen for each week in a month.
(Ex: August is Bear, Week 1 is Grizzly Bear, Week 2 is Polar Bear, etc.)

There is no pressure to draw for every month of the challenge, this is just to be for fun and to get out of art block.

You can use any medium and tools you want.

Feel free to get creative! You can disfigure the prompted animal as much as you want so long as the basic traits are still identifiable.
