{ going back home }

Amaya woke up to the sound of her obnoxious alarm clock blaring off. She groaned as she harshly shut it off. Ever since she moved, she's gone to two schools where she is. A junior high and high school. The high school Amaya is attending is Nekoma, the school whose volleyball rival is Karasuno. Amaya yawned, forcing herself out of bed. The second year stayed up pretty late last night, so she couldn't complain how tired she is right now. She huffed to herself and got ready to go to school.

As Amaya walked out, she saw Kenma. The girl assumed he's waiting for the rooster head, Kuroo, so she only waved towards her fellow second year. Kenma waved back, and Amaya continued her walk to school. She yawned again, excited for the trip to Miyagi Prefecture; her hometown. The trip was provided by Nekoma's volleyball club, as the boys are going down for a practice match against Karasuno. Amaya happened to be the manager for the boys and she was ecstatic.

The short haired second year looked at her surroundings. In fact, she stayed behind with Kenma due to her reliving her memories of Miyagi. When Amaya noticed that the rest of the team is gone, she panicked a little, then looked at Kenma. She questioned how he could be able to play a game while knowing that the rest of the team is gone. The second year rolled her eyes, then saw a small, orange haired boy ran towards her. The boy just stopped before Kenma and Amaya, then looked around. She could tell he has never been this way before.

The orange haired boy looked at Kenma and Amaya, then dumbfoundedly asking, "Did you guys get lost too?"

"No, not really," Amaya replied, but it got overlapped with what Kenma was saying so it sounded like a mess.

The other boy smiled at the two and introduced himself, "I'm Hinata Shōyō!"

Amaya mumbled to herself, Kenma only looked at Hinata. The three chatted a little, then Kuroo showed up, finding the two missing cats. Amaya bid farewell to Hinata, Kenma saying something to Hinata before saying goodbye as well. While the three were walking back to the team, Kuroo asked, "Do you know that kid?"

Amaya shook her head, Kenma is still playing his game somehow. In response, the game playing boy bluntly said, "He's from Karasuno. I believe we might play against him during the practice match."

The second year looked stunned, yet shook it off. It was normal for someone like Kenma to notice those little details. The three walked back to their team, while Kenma still somehow played his game. Amaya got a little idea and explained to Kuroo that she was going to explore for a bit, then ran off. She jogged for a while, keeping her pace without using all of her energy. The second year stopped in front of her junior high, Chidoriyama. Amaya sadly sighed, then walked to her old house. She stopped in front of her old house, then looked at the ground. She mumbled to herself and walked back to the inn that the rest of the Nekoma team is staying at. They're going to play the practice match against Karasuno at the end of the week and in all honesty, Amaya was excited to see the team that supposed to rival the cats from Nekoma High. What made her most excited is that she might see her childhood friend. The only downfall is that she can't seem to remember what he looks like or his name, which she was bummed about.

Amaya walked into her room, as the team got her a seperate room from the boys. Good thing they did too, who knows what they might've done if they ever mistook her stuff for theirs. Yikes. Sadly, she's alone due to being the only female on the team, even though she is the manager. Amaya went into bed, ecstatic for the practice match at the end of the week.
