{ departure }
Amaya gloomily began to walk off the campus of Chidoriyama Junior High. She regrets not telling Nishinoya that today is her last day, but she thought it was better that way. Amaya stops and looks to the building behind her. It sucks that this would be the last time she would ever see this now that she has to move to Tokyo as per her parents requests.
Just as Amaya was about to begin walking home, she sees Nishinoya running at her full speed. The orange and brown, spikey haired boy stopped just before Amaya, catching his breath. He grabbed her shoulders and shook the other second year around.
"Why didn't you tell me that you are moving to Tokyo!" Nishinoya shouted, almost sounding like a demand. He waited for Amaya's reply, heavily breathing.
Amaya looked away from Nishinoya, feeling slightly crushed. She admitted, "I didn't want to make you pity me. No, actually, I didn't want to see you look so hurt as I told you. It makes me even feel worse."
Nishinoya calmed down, slightly. He took his hands off of Amaya's shoulders. He gulped, then laughed, "You don't have to worry about that. Besides, you make it sound like we won't see each other again!"
The female second year dumbfoundedly stared at her classmate. Yet, she still had to agree with the second part. Amaya was indeed acting like she'll never see Noya again. The two sat in awkward silence for a moment. Then, she asked, "Do you think we'll ever see each other again?"
"Of course! High hopes, am I right?" Noya answered, grinning.
The two had each others numbers, so it wouldn't be hard to just contact each other ever so often. As time slowly moved by, Amaya's expression gradually turned back into a gloomy one. She sighed as she looked down at the ground, "I have to go now. I'll see you then, right?"
Noya nodded, then hugged Amaya. This action startled the girl, yet hugged back. Even though she had to go, the second year didn't want to let go of Nishinoya. Small tears slowly came to her eyes as she spoke out her final words towards the libero, "Yuu, I can't wait to meet again."
Amaya sadly smiled, forcing herself to let go of the male second year. He watched as the short haired girl turned and walked away, never to be seen again. For now, at least.
Amaya arrived home. Luckily she had already packed what she needed the night before, so all she needed to do is move the boxes into the car her family is going to take to Tokyo. Her parents bought a house in Nerima Ward. As the second year loaded the boxes, she couldn't help but think of Nishinoya. She was never able to speak about what she thought of him, and it hurt her. Once everything was done packing, Amaya got into an open backseat, her parents shortly following after with her father taking the wheel. The three of them then began you drive towards Tokyo, where her new life awaited.
