May's POV (Elena)

I've been staring at Chase for quite some time. He was humming a strange tone and dancing from left to right. My feet are itching to flee, but he has locked the kitchen door. Ugh, this guy, or is he gay? What's with the feminine touch these days? He always acted like a playboy, but now he's showing me his true colors. Yep, he really is so full of himself.

"Let me out, Chase," I said, attempting to hide my irritation.

I don't want him to be successful in lowering my guard as a result of his annoying presence. He turned to face me, still holding a knife in his right hand, and grinned sheepishly, shrugged his shoulders, and returned his attention to whatever he was cooking.

"May, why don't you start slicing that onion instead of—" I cut him off

Who said I will be cooking? I have never cooked in my entire life... and there is no way I will ever let him know! I won't let him know.

"This is an order Chase," I commanded him adding a little raise on my voice.

Finally, he turned around! He flashed me a mischievous smile that sent shivers down my spine. He is both annoying and creepy. I glared at him, but he kept advancing towards me. I can't help but get distracted so I try to bite my lip. I'm trying hard not to chuckle right now. But I can't stop myself from laughing. I noticed his puzzled expression as he asked me why I was laughing. I felt my cheeks warm up with humiliation.

"Why are you blushing May" he asked still confused of my change of moods

I have never laughed like this in my whole life not even with Luke. My heart abruptly beated wildly as I mentioned his name. What am I thinking? Ba't nasali si Luke. I shoved away the thought and stared at the man infront of me. With his masculine body and manly apperance, from his jawline, to his hypnotazing light hazel eyes, long thick eyelashes, soft moisty kissable lips and a perfect nose with his undenyingly strong sex appeal. Fck, what am I saying. Did I just say all that?

"Are you making fun of me May?" he sternly asked staring at my eyes

Wait, when did he get here? I didn't notice he was this near so I stepped backward but he just stepped forward following my steps. Urgh, annoying Chase. Go away and get lost.

"You were checking me out earlier, didn't you?" he seductively asked with his lips curving a victorious smile.

Was I? Urgh, If I did I would never tell him. Lalaki lang ang ulo into. And I am not into him... if anything...

"Dream on Chase. Why would I even check you out?" I retorted rolling my eyes heavenwards

"Because," he paused as he took a step forward. "I'm simply..." I step backward "Hot."

Urgh, I bump into a kitchen counter. "Handsome" he continued. "Charming"

Inilagay niya ang dalawang kamay niya sa kitchen counter, leaving me trap. Tsk.

"And gorgeous," he said before winking at me.

Urgh, this annoying arrogant jerk. ipinatong niya ang noo niya sa shoulder ko as he took a deep sigh. Napahawak ako sa dibdib niya, lightly pushing him away. I heard him chuckle making me stop.

"Enjoying aren't we, May?" he chuckled

Urgh, annoying Chase. With full force, I pushed him away but he only moved an inch away.

"You're strong, May. That's why you are very interesting. Every girl fall for me, they are the ones who chase me. Halos ibigay nila pati kaluluwa nila sa ak—" I stopped him from talking.

This is what I am talking about. And why would they even Chase this annoying arrogant jerk? Are they blind or just lack taste? Lamang ng isang libong paligo si Luke sa kanya! And he isn't even this arrogant. Tsk.

"Did I bruise your petty ego, you pity thing?" I asked mockingly, I know he just finds me entertaining. He is someone who always gets what he wants no matter what and I am a scratch on his record. "Don't group me to your filthy bitches Chase. I am not one of them and never will," I strongly opposed.

Itinaas niya ang ulo niya and intently looked at my eyes. Of course, I wouldn't try to avoid his gaze because I am May and I hate losing especially against this haughty jerk.

"I know. You are different and I don't mind chasing you May," he replied giving me goosebumps.

"Chase me all you want but you'll never catch me, Chase," I retorted back with emphasis with the words Chase.

He cupped my face, still looking at my eyes. He gave me a sweet smile. I won't let him intimidate me.

"I'll make sure you'll eat your words, May," he stubbornly insist while smirking.

"Spare me the sweet sugar-coated talks Chase," I commented saka inirapan siya

"So, May, tell me. What made you laugh?" He was still staring at me when he asked. "Hearing you laugh turns me on May, a wonderful melody, I would say, so tell me. What made May Gonzales laugh for the first time?" he inquired, his eyes wide with interest

Urgh, perverted jerk. I rolled my eyes and tried pushing him as hard as I can. Hinawakan niya ang kamay ko, I stared back at him trying to pull my hands away from his grip but failed. Urgh, I won't accept that I will lose to this jerk.

"Listen May, unless you tell me, I won't let go," he sternly proclaimed.

Tsk, I truly hate anyone who tries to control me. I am the one who should have authority over them, not this jackass. Urgh. This is vexing; I inhaled and exhaled. There's no point in panicking, May. My lips formed a sly smile. Nakita kong nagsalubong ang kilay ni Chase, persistent jerk. I'll show you then I shifted my eyes to his apron sinundan naman niya ang tingin ko.

"Shit, that girl," I heard him whisper to his self

My eyebrow suddenly arched. A girl? I don't know why but my blood boiled. He is indeed a playboy. Tsk, you want to play a game, Rodriguez? I'll play your game and make sure I win it, Chase.

"That apron suits you Chase, a frilly pink hello kitty-designed apron? I didn't know you have a girly side Rodriguez," I sarcastically commented

I saw how his cheeks reddened umabot pa sa tainga niya. He suddenly pulled me for a hug. I felt how his heart raced, ibinaon niya ang ulo niya sa leeg ko. I suddenly felt a tingling sensation. Parang tumaas ang lahat ng balahibo ko. And somehow... I remembered Luke. I feel like I am betraying him. But is it really me? Or just my memory of Elena?

"This is incredibly humiliating," he murmured, "but I don't care how embarrassing my situation is, I don't care if others laugh at me as long as I can hear you laugh... but it's not like I'm going to let them make fun of me. I don't care anymore kung ikaw naman ang dahilan, ikaw lang ang may karapatan." He said in a low voice

He and his pick-up line. Tsk, I'm not going to lose. Chase, I am well aware of your strategy; you will not win against me. Tsk, he turned his back and started cooking as if nothing had happened. I am done playing around. Pumunta ako sa kitchen door at sinipa ito and in a snap I broke his door.

"M-May," he shouted while stuttering.

I walked out, smirking at him. I need to figure out how to get out of this horror. There are no cars or taxis available, and I am unfamiliar with the area, so what should I do? When I felt someone grip my wrist, I was pulled back to reality.

"You broke my door, May," he stated, "and you ruined our date," he continued na parang nagmamaktol na bata.

"I am going home Chase," I plainly answered.

One way or another I know I can escape from his web-like chain. I saw how his lips curved.

"I am your home May," he proclaimed in a very confident tone.

Annoying, tsk. I'm starting to lose my temper so I gave him a kick on his knee which made him whimper in pain. He really doesn't run out of anything stupid to say.

"Fine, ang brutal mo talaga kahit kailan," pagmamaktol niya.

I smell victory, I crossed my arms with a triumphant smile plastered on my face which turned into a frown upon hearing his condition.

"Iuuwi lang kita after we finish cooking and eating our dinner. I don't want to ruin our first date May and I won't take no as an answer," he smirked.

Urgh. This sly dirty arrogant jerk.I glared at him, if glaring can kill matagal ng patay ang lalaking to

"No way!" I shouted in frustration

"Well, wala namang problema sa akin kung ayaw mo, you can stay at my house, like forever." He evilly smirked

"Forever doesn't exist Chase," I retorted emphasizing every word I uttered.

"We'll see May, baka tayo ang makakagawa ng forever," he playfully commented.

Urgh, this annoying Chase. He really never fails to annoy him in every little way he acts. I had no choice but to agree, I don't want to stay any longer in his place.

"This will be the first and last, Rodriguez," I warned.

I noticed how his eyes twinkled with delight. I don't understand you Chase, but I will understand you eventually because I will win this game you started. This will be the last time I acknowledge defeat because I intend to turn the tables.
