Prologue II

Slowly, he woke up and regained consciousness. He had had a really strange dream, which he didn't understand anything of. His head felt heavy and started to hurt as soon as he tried to sit up.

"Auch", he whimpered and grasped around his head.

A laugh could be heard, "Rather lie down, instead of that whining," said a voice from one of the corners of the room.

Jungkook stared around in horror and immediately noticed that he was sitting in an unfamiliar room. With a stranger.

"Who-who are you?", he stammered uneasily under the stranger's gaze.

The older boy started laughing again, "You really must have hit your head".

Jungkook eyed confused at the elder, who was slowly moving over to him.

"Jung Hoseok, but call me J-Hope. Earth's only hope," he said bluntly, holding out his hand to Jungkook.

Jungkook closed his eyes, "Wait ... So, so it wasn't just a d-dream?"

"Obviously not," replied the elder.

Jungkook considered taking his hand but chose to do so as the elder began to fall impatient. And he would rather not do anything right now that he would come to regret later.

"Je-jeon Jungkook," said the younger, looking up at the older one.

He looked predominantly at Jungkook, still hand in hand, but in a sudden motion he let go of it again and sat down on his chair in the corner of the room. Jungkook did not say a word and just stared at Hoseok. He sat with a stack of arrows and sharpened one by one the ends of them all.

"J-J-Hope where am I?", It flew out of the nervous boy.

Hoseok slowly raised his gaze and looked lazily at Jungkook, "At my place."

The younger one nodded slowly. He felt awkward and did not really know what to say or do.

"How does your head feel?" Hoseok asked, still preoccupied with the working.

Jungkook gulped, "Fine. I think."

Hoseok saw up again and glared at him, "Don't lie to me."

Jungkook gulped again out of sheer nervousness. A small mug stood on a table next to Hoseok.

He got up and handed it to the younger one, "Here, drink it."

Jungkook looked down into the brown-green liquid and his nose almost dipped into it. It stank like rotten and looked just as disgusting. The younger one looked up at Hoseok.

"Drink it," the elder said almost as a command and Jungkook responded immediately.

The taste was absolutely horrible for the little poor boy, and along the way, a feeling of vomiting crept up. But he kept drinking until there was no more. He immediately covered his mouth with a hand to prevent the vomiting. Hoseok laughed at him but Jungkook did himself the favor and sent a scowl in the direction. The older one calmed down immediately and continued with his work on the arrows.

As the vomit had slowly pulled away again he started to look around. He had been so busied by the vomiting and the bad taste that he didn't notice the sudden relief of his pain.

"Better?"

Jungkook nodded and pulled the blanket off him. He got up slowly, but Hoseok stopped him.

"Sit still, you can not go anywhere on an empty stomach," said the elder, getting up and leaving the room.

Jungkook looked with an incipient nervousness at the elder. As long as it was not something as clammy he came back with. But to his great relief, the elder returned with perfectly normal bread. Jungkook mumbled a faint 'thank you' and began gratefully eating. As soon as the taste hit his tongue, he felt how hungry he really was. He almost swallowed it all down and then just sat and looked quietly at the older one. Hoseok felt the stare and moved his eyes up.

"Already done?", He asked in surprise and got up.

The younger remained seated still with eyes on the older, awaiting a new command. Hoseok fixed his eyes on the awaiting Jungkook.

He giggled a little at the cute little boy, "Just get up," he said.

Jungkook got up immediately and walked slowly over to the elder. Hoseok ruffled the younger male's hair with a smile, already attracted to the little boy. Jungkook froze as it happened and a shock wave went through him as Hoseok took hold of the younger one's shoulders.

"Come, this way," he said, leading the younger one further out of the room.

They entered the small hallway where various weapons hung in order along the wall. Jungkook stood in admiration, looking at the various utensils. But one particular weapon attracted him more than the others. He walked slowly over to it and was just about to touch it before being interrupted.

"Do not touch," said the elder sternly.

Jungkook immediately took some steps back in horror. Hoseok started tugging on a pair of shoes, reminiscent of a pair of military boots in whole black color. Jungkook looked down at his own timberlands and jumped into them. Something hit him in the head and covered his sight. He fumbled with the soft mass that had settled over his head and stumbled backward and landed on his butt. Hoseok laughed when the younger one finally had his jacket lifted over his head. Jungkook blushed all over his face and slowly put on his jacket and got up. The younger one immediately stepped out the door and met the fresh wind. He looked up and small raindrops hit him in the face. They quickly cooled his glowing face down and he quietly closed his eyes. Jungkook turned around and took a look at the elder's house. A small wooden house, hidden by the small forest. His eyes landed on the elder wearing all-black leather clothing. He had been too nervous to notice what he looked like. Hoseok turned around as he had locked the door. His red hair hung down in his finely shaped face, beginning to weigh down in the rain. He was handsome, there was no doubt about that. The younger one widened his eyes when he caught sight of the bow and arrows.

"Relax, I won't hurt you. It's just for safety," Hoseok replied to the younger man's big eyes.

Jungkook nodded, but that was not what he thought of most. What will people think about them, when they see this weapon?
