46| An eavesdropper

"Junnie, I don't trust him. I mean, have you seen how strong his wolf is?"

The older boy was silent on the green glowing wolf.

"He does not even have control over it-!"

Yeonjun slapped his hand to the wolf's mouth so he could say no more.

The silver-haired boy pushed Geonhak down and sat on the edge of the bed, grabbing him by the cheeks. He looked into his shining eyes.

"Geonhakie, he's no danger to us, so says Jungkook," Yeonjun stopped, looking up a little.

"And besides, I also think he will only be a help in convincing as many people as possible to believe that hunters and underground can easily work together."

The wolf sighed into the hunter's palm and his gaze fell slightly. Yeonjun removed his hand again, where it naturally found its way down to Geonhak's hands, where it braided itself into his fingers, with the connecting other hand. The light touch made Geonhak look up at the hunter again, a slight red color had risen up in his cheeks, which only made the wolf's heart beat faster. He realized that right now; he was deeply in love with the hunter in front of him. Not only his wolf, but also himself, and he could do nothing but hope that Yeonjun felt the same. And in that case, he was lucky. Yeonjun had never ever even had the slightest bit of thought that he was going to end up falling in love with someone like Geonhak. In fact, he had never really thought about his love life and really just let the thought of it be because it had to come when the time came for it. And right now he could not describe how lucky he felt to have listened to his instincts. Yeonjun was sure it was not just random, no, it all had to be planned. Time had simply determined it, and then fate had brought them to where they were now.

This time it was Yeonjun who leaned forward with gently closed eyes and locked the younger boy's lips with his own. His hands wandered up and gently gripped Geonhak's shirt. This felt like the most right decision Yeonjun had ever made. Geonhak was the one he had patiently always been waiting for.

The younger boy gently gathered Yeonjun's cheeks in his hands and pulled him closer to him. The strong scent of forest berries jumped stronger in his head than before, and his body temperature rose rapidly. The hunter's lips were just so soft, and the wolf began to wonder if he would ever be able to release him again.

But just as the memorable moment began to peak towards the highest point, it knocked on the door shortly followed by its opening. They tore themselves apart and looked in the direction of the door.

A head stuck in, "We're ready now, hyung."

Yeonjun nodded to his little brother. He had let go of the wolf and already felt completely empty without a single small touch from him.

Many of them sat at the table. In fact, so many that half of them stood up, and Yeonjun felt a little guilty about it, even though Youngjo had said it did nothing.

Yeonjun, Geonhak, Beomgyu and Taehyun, Jungkook, Jimin, and To Moon packwith the exception of Seoho, who was still missing. They were already a part, and Iris, who had fainted, and whom Beomgyu had helped in the haste Jimin had rushed in from their door, was now lying and resting on the sofa in the living room, still completely unconscious. But Beomgyu had assured the completely-out-of-it-wolf that there was nothing seriously wrong with Iris, her body had just been subjected to such severe pain that she fainted. And Taehyun had carefully added; that Jimin probably should not expect that she would be as she used to be when she woke up.

Right now, no one was saying anything. They were done discussing and agreeing on the plan for tomorrow; they were going to find a hunter team who was also in the area and try to talk to them. Yeonjun knew them well, and there was very little hope that they would listen to them. But they were a large team of hunters who, on top of that, had a strong relationship with some other hunters not too far from the city.

A couple of ears in the room next door had always been listening attentively throughout the conversation. And without Soobin knowing it, half the assembly was well aware of it, but no one mentioned it. They were all well aware that Soobin would have nothing to do with their attempt to gather hunters and underworlders, yet the boy could not help but eavesdrop. When Soobin heard how the little assembly ended it all, he withdrew again with a soft sigh. He did not understand his cousins, what was it that made them believe that underworlders was like them? It was clear to see that there were more wild animals than humans in such a pack of werewolves, so why think they would not do anything? He turned his head and looked over at the unconscious girl. It was a real result of what had come out of getting near one of the beasts.

The black-haired boy shook his head slightly, so that his brown hair fell down into his eyes, and moved back through the living room and towards his room. But as he was about to grab the handle of his room, he felt something drill into the back of his head. And not physically meant. Soobin turned around paranoid, and there he spotted something he had not just anticipated.
