The All Seeing... Painting?
^^Hermione > Snape^^
Hermione was heading towards Gryffindor tower to settle in and unpack her trunk, she was always very particular about things being in their right places. As she hurried around the corner at full speed she crashed into someone, tumbling to the floor. She looked up to see Draco Malfoy smirking down at her. "Are you alright down there mudblood?" He jibed, looking at Crabbe and Goyle for praise. Hermione growled and was just about to get up from the floor when a cold, deep and highly sexy voice spoke from behind her. "Malfoy, return to your common room at once. And do not let me hear you using that 'language' again or you will have detention for a week." Professor Snape seethed at the blonde. Draco and his goons turned and walked away and Hermione felt a hand grasp hers, it was Snape's. He pulled her to her feet and scowled at her. "Thank you Professor Snape." She blushed. "For?.." He quizzed with a sarcastically arched brow. "For Helping me up, and for dealing with Malfoy." Hermione explained. Severus looked at the floor and back up at her, "Miss Granger, if I didn't help you back on your feet you would most probably still be there tomorrow. You quite obviously cannot get up by yourself, and for your information I do not approve of the word he used. Do not assume it makes you special in any way as that would be a foolish mistake." Snape sneered and stormed off down the corridor at a speed with his long black robes wiping the floor behind him.
Hermione felt sad when she arrived in the common room, "Why on earth do I like that greasy dungeon bat, he is heartless and arrogant." She moaned to herself. "What's that 'Mione?" Ron asked from behind her, "oh, nothing. Nothing at all." Hermione smiled gently and gave Ron a forced kiss
SNAPE'S POV
I headed back to the dungeons and called Draco from the Slytherin common room. "Mr Malfoy, a word." Draco followed behind me and slumped against the wall with his arms across his chest. "Yes Professor?" He smirked. "Do not give me that attitude, I wish to inform you that Quiddich practice starts up tomorrow afternoon and your first match will be against Ravenclaw at the weekend. Get onto it and do not mess it up." I scowled and headed back to my office.
I couldn't get her out of my mind, "Hermione. Beautiful, Intelligent, brave... I must be loosing my mind, she's an insolent know it all who can't keep herself and her stupid friends out of trouble." I told myself with a sigh, i looked up at the portrait of Albus, he grinned at me and gave a small chuckle. "Someone has a crush." He smirked. "I do not have a crush Albus, that is quite ridiculous!" I tried to defend myself but Albus just winked.
I missed teaching, as headmaster I didn't get to teach much anymore. Only occasionally I would help out with DADA and potions, I did however have full access to the potions classroom which I used on a regular basis. I still made all of Poppy's drafts for the hospital wing.

It wasn't long before there was a knock at the door, "Come in." Snape groaned and there she was, that insufferable know it all. "Ah Miss Granger! to what do I owe the displeasure? I would offer you a sherbet lemon but I'm sure by now you've noticed I'm not Dumbledore, and therefore I'm not here to cater to your every concern." Snape sneered. "Severus! Shut up boy!" Albus shrieked from his painting. "Sorry to disturb you Professor, only I have a request to make." Hermione explained confidently. "When don't you?" Severus mumbled under his breath. "Professor is it at all possible that I can take some extra lessons, for the war. What with He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named getting ready to strike, I feel like I must be ready, Harry can't rely on Ronald after all." Snape took in what she had to say and thought it through. "Why can't you ask someone else for help?" Snape groaned. "Well, You have a better knowledge of my abilities." Hermione blushed. "Very well, tonight after the feast, meet me at the potions classroom, We will see how it goes, no promises. Now leave." Hermione thanked the headmaster and said hello to Albus before leaving Snape to stew in his own juices.
Laughter sprung out from the headmasters portrait after Hermione left, "Albus, you have got to stop scaring the living daylight out of me!" Snape scowled. "You have a better knowledge of Miss Grangers abilities apparently Severus, we both know that's not the real reason don't we now dear boy!" Dumbledore giggled, and disappeared.
