Back To Hogwarts

^^Hermione^^

Hermione wasn't her usual cheery self when she arrived at Kings Cross Station. The year ahead was to be extremely hard work, not only with the NEWTS but with the cloud of doom hanging over the heads of the golden trio. Harry looked at her knowingly and gave her an awkward smile.
"I know what you're thinking Herms." He spoke softly. "Do you?" Hermione asked with a sigh,
"Of course, it just doesn't feel the same this year does it? All the people we've lost, what lies ahead..." Harry bit his lip anxiously. "We will get through it Harry, we will not just stand back and let Voldemort destroy everything Hogwarts stands for, everything WE stand for." Ron chimed in. "Listen kids, the order is not going to be destroyed by one dark wizard, over my dead body! Darkness never wins." Molly Weasley soothed, Hermione could see the worry in her eyes but she also could see pure determination, spirit and strength. Molly was an amazing woman, she might have looked like she was always in the background cooking dinner, but Hermione reckoned She was a force to be reckoned with.

After everyone said their goodbyes we all went through the wall and onto the platform.
They boarded the Hogwarts express and walked towards one of the empty carriages, they were rudely interrupted. "Potter, back for another year at Hogwarts with his cling ons by his side as usual! How is the little mudblood and the ginger prick?" Draco seethed into Harry's face. "Back off Malfoy!" Ron fumed, pushing past Harry to confront Draco. "Go away little Orange one, this doesn't concern you." The Blonde laughed, stood there proudly in his tailored suit. "You might think you're going to be a big part of an amazing uprising Malfoy, but believe me, you and your pathetic excuse for a father will fail in every way." Harry insisted with authority. "Pah! We'll see about that, won't we guys?" He laughed and his group of Slytherin fan boys and fan girls sniggered along. Draco turned on his heel and stormed off towards the other end of the train.

"What a fucking arsehole." Ron moaned. "Ron, he's not worth getting upset about." Hermione said placing her hand on Ron's. "She's right, let's just forget about Malfoy." Harry agreed.
"You would have thought he'd have learnt to wind his neck in by now, the loser." Ron laughed
"Like that's ever gonna happen." Hermione grinned, Harry stared out of the window for most of the journey, Ron spent most of the trip snoring and Hermione was sat with Neville, Luna and Ginny who had joined them in their carriage.
"I worry about him you know." Ginny told Hermione sadly, "I know you do, that's love for you Gin." Hermione soothed placing an arm around her. "You know, my father always says that the bad guys always create their own misfortune. That's what will happen with he-who-shall-not-be-named." Luna drawled out slowly whilst flicking through her copy of the quibbler.
"Well I hope so, He's the reason both Harry's and my parents are gone. Now I'm not much of a fighter, but I'm not going to stand down against him." Neville said proudly, fiddling with some plant or other on his lap. "Guys, all I know is that we need to stick together. Dumbledores army will be ready, I will be ready. And I'll kill Voldemort if it's the last thing I do." Harry insisted, still not drawing his eyes away from the window.

As they pulled into the station, they were so pleased to see Hagrid beaming down at them.
"Ahh! 'Arry! 'Ermione! Ron!" He called out with his arms open wide. "Oh and yous too 'o course!" He pointed at Neville and Luna, pulling the group into a bone crushing hug.
"We missed you Hagrid." Hermione smiled happily, "An' I missed yous lot too. Let's get ya back to the castle shall we?" He chuckled, and they followed behind him only stopping when Malfoy passed and stared us all down. "Wha' you lookin' at Malfoy?" Hagrid boomed. Draco scoffed and walked on.
