Into The Woods {Gon}
"Bye auntie Mito." Gon called ,"I'll be home soon." the raven haired boy ran out the house and looked around at the green fields. He smiled widely at the sun as it shone high in the sky. He was excited, he had his lunch and was going eat in the forest near his village home. He knew he wasn't supposed to travel far but he being the young seven year old he was, did not pay heed to the warnings of roots, wild creatures, and even the old women's tales of powerful Yokai who were said to dwell deep in the heart of their lovely forest.
He skipped down the path absentmindedly until he realized he did not know where he was. He looked around, all of the trees seemed to look the same. He remained calm and sat down beginning to eat his lunch. It wasn't until the sun had more than just begun it's descent from the sky, mid-day was long gone and soon after so was dinner time. As the darkness fell Gon finally began to process that he was indeed lost. As he tried to find his way home tears filled his eyes as he began to cry out," Mito! Mito! I'm lost help me!"
That was when he heard the sound of leaves fluttering around behind him. He spun frightened of what might come out to meet him," Wh-who's there? Is it a big scary bear?" he managed to splutter through his sobs. He sniffed and wiped his eyes trying to calm down, his aunt had told him that crying would never get him anywhere in life,' I'm a big boy!' he thought to himself,' I'm not scared of some dumb bear!'
He picked up a nearby stick and held it in defense," G-get get away stupid bear! I'm not afraid of you stupid!" He squeaked. That's when he saw them...the two glowing blue eyes staring at him from the bush along with a pretty paper lantern, like the ones he saw at festivals or like the kimonos that Mito wore in the summer,poking up from the bush where the creature was hiding "Wh-who's there? Wh-what do you want?"
A head poked out of the bush and a boy Gon's age with white hair and ears," What are you doing in here?"
