#46 Happy Everly After

Happy Everly After by @hideaway_98

I found this book extremely cliché. Despite this, it was well written.

Lots of cliché parts - like the boy next door, surname calling, black belts etc. You used all of the romance tropes I could think of which made the book very predictable and a little dull at times.

There were some good light attempts at humour which was an intelligent move. :) I also liked the play on the title - I thought that was smart.

Some occasional issues with dialogue where you didn't put a comma at the end of the dialogue and started the dialogue tag with a capital letter instead of a lower case.

You NEED commas before names.

There were some places where you'd missed a few paragraph breaks.

Some comma splits, and you needed a lot of commas to split clauses.

Good foreshadowing at the end of chapters and some parts.

Tense jumps!!! Your story is in past tense and you jumped to present for multiple pages at a time. Go through and change everything to past.

Occasionally, contractions were done incorrectly.

In some places you needed question marks at the end of questions.

In around the second chapter there seemed to be too much arguing between Spencer and Everly. I would minimise it and keep it at short, snappy, but effective dialogue.

Chapters were too long for my liking. I see where the places you split them were logical but maybe cut down on the unnecessary faffing.

Overall, a well written story. If you don't mind cheesy, predictable plots then this is the one for you!
