Fifty Five
Rose
She was fascinated by my hands, the colours on my nails. She cooed, kicking her chunky legs powerfully, refusing to let me change her nappy.
I groaned, chuckling at my baby. "Aww, honey! Can you please let mommy change you? I think you pooped, mama's girl."
I wiped her, quickly managing to put on her diaper without her crying or peeing. I then buttoned up her onesie, bringing her to my chest and kissing her cheek. She cooed, her small hands clutching onto my shirt.
I smiled before laying her in my arms, cuddling my baby.
Cristiano and I's baby had grown so much.
She was a healthy baby and it was a wonder how she was a premature baby from a pregnancy I didn't even know I was having. She had added weight, enough weight for her to be able to go home.
I had been released from the hospital before her and she had to wait an extra few weeks to come back home. She was a bright, playful baby. I hadn't heard her giggle yet but she did like to smile.
Her father brought out all of her smiles; he knew exactly how to bring out the happiness in her. Their relationship was the cutest and I managed to snap the best adorable photos of them both.
Just like one morning as he entered the room.
She automatically smiled, recognising her father. I sat her upright, her head and back resting against me. I held her tiny hands, the young newborn clutching mine. She was still learning how to balance her head and although she was a little behind, she was doing well for a premature baby.
My hand was pulled into her mouth and I stopped her. I thought she would whine but the intrigued girl was too busy staring at her father happily.
"Is that my Princess? Look at my beautiful Princess!" Cris beamed, scooping her up and cuddling her, leaving kisses all over her face. She let out a few gurgles, excited to see her father. A beaming smile was on her face and Cris lifted her, gazing into her eyes.
I quickly snapped a photo and e looked at me in surprise at the flash. I smiled, "memories."
"Hello, my sexy Queen," Cris greeted, leaning her and giving me a warm, loving kiss. I smiled as he pulled away. "Hey," I softly replied, "did you get the car seat?"
"Yup, it's in the corner there." I glanced over and noticed the black car seat that I had seen only. It was perfect for our baby.
I sighed before smiling at the little baby who intently gazed at me. "What did the doctor say?"
My smile faded, remembering. "She'll catch up to the same rate as other babies when she's probably a year or so."
He kept a smile on his face, staying positive. "That's fine. The Princess requires extra time for pampering." He kissed her cheeks before gently placing her into her car seat, buckling her in with the seatbelts.
I got off the bed, grabbing her bag and putting in the last of her stuff. Zipping it up and swinging it onto my shoulder asking, "ready to go?"
"All set."
~~~
When the front door opened, I gasped in shock as a large group of people jumped out at me yelling, "welcome home!"
Streamers, banners and confetti were thrown, balloons everywhere and music playing.
My heart stopped and I blinked a few times, realising what was going on.
A surprise party for the baby and I.
Oh, but I'm so freaking tired
Nevertheless, I pushed away my exhaustion and put a huge smile on my face. "Aww!"
There was Gage holding his son beside Genevieve who held up a huge, handmade banner saying, 'welcome home!', then there was Jordan who was standing behind a three layer cake, his eyes darting towards it every couple of seconds which made me laugh.
Mia and Valentina held balloons and confetti, a beaming smile on each of their faces, Maria was trying to stop the children from running around and touching the food where Dante was stood, munching on a cupcake. Leonardo scolded him and held another banner saying, 'new baby!'. Vincenzo was beside Cameron, holding another banner saying, 'it's a girl!' whilst Tori and Dax held some wrapped gifts.
Everyone was here for us, a party to celebrate the new baby but the one person who stood out to me was a woman I never expected to be there.
"Juliet!" I exclaimed, going over and giving her a huge hug. She laughed, hugging me back tightly and ruffling my hair. "Hey, Rose! Geez, you've still got all that strength after having a baby." I laughed, pulling away and meeting her eyes.
"There's a lot we need to catch up on."
In the living room, we were all sat or standing around eating some cake.
After explaining the pregnancy and talking about how the baby was, there was one last question that everyone was curious to know.
"What is the Princess's name?"
I smiled, glancing over at her. She was contently sitting in Jordan's arms, completely unaware of what was going on around her.
"Well," Cris began from the other side of the room. "She is called Ariella - Lion of God."
Then there was applause and compliments although Ariella seemed to not like the noise and bursted into tears suddenly.
Jordan handed her to me and I cuddled her, although she didn't want cuddles and wailed harder, rooting. "Okay, Okay," I murmured before excusing myself and leaving the lounge, going upstairs and closing the door behind me in the bedroom.
"Don't cry, Ella," I cooed, kissing her cheek and her head automatically turned, her mouth opening as if she expected milk. I chuckled, comfortably sitting on the bed.
I lifted my shirt, taking my breast out and moving my nipple towards her mouth. She cried louder, rooting. She was still struggling to latch on and it seemed to frustrate her when she couldn't. I tried to calm her down a little, bouncing the baby and soothingly talking to her, helping her latch on.
When she finally did, Ariella stayed silent besides the soft sounds of sucking. I wiped her cheeks, kissing them. She gazed into my eyes, kicking her legs a little.
Afterwards, she was fast asleep, snuggling close to me. I put my breast back into my bra, pulling down my shirt. Once I burped her, I placed my baby in her cot beside my side of the bed, covering her small body with a blanket and kissing her cheek.
I sighed, considering going downstairs but I was way too tired to socialise.
A small nap wouldn't hurt
I slipped under the covers and closed my eyes. As soon as my head hit the pillow, I was asleep.
"Shh! Princess, stop crying, please, mama's just napping - don't wake her up!"
"Okay, sheesh! I know you want that boob milk, but baby, stop crying!"
"Hold on. . .Ariella, shh. . Hold on!"
My eyes fluttered open and I heard a groan, Cris sighing. He was holding Ariella as she wailed, wriggling around in her father's arms.
He was trying to take my breast out without me waking up but failing as I awoke, blinking in surprise.
I yawned, sitting up a little as Cris sighed, "sorry. We didn't mean to wake you."
"It's okay, don't worry," I replied, stretching a little as I tiredly looked at him. "How long was I asleep? Didn't I just feed her?"
"Three hours," he told me as my hands went out for her. He handed her to me and I looked at him in surprise, "three hours? Is the party still on?"
"No, I rescheduled it."
"Oh, why?" I asked in surprise, placing Ariella on my breast and she calmed down, sucking. Cristiano sat down, his hand on my leg that was under the duvet.
"You're tired and Ariella was really fussy." I sighed, glancing down at our daughter. Yawning again, I met Cristiano's eyes.
"Thank you for the party though," I told him with a small smile. "I'm just so exhausted." He nodded understandingly, glimpsing at Ariella.
"I have something to confess."
I looked at him in curiosity, nodding for him to continue. His hand rubbed my thigh a little as he licked his lips, hesitating a little which made me even more curious.
"Juliet isn't only here for your party," Cristiano began before going on, "while you've been in hospital, Juliet and I. ."
I looked at him, raising an eyebrow and fearing the worst. I didn't like how slowly he was confessing whatever he needed to tell me, it made the curiosity in me worse.
"Have been looking for your mother."
I blinked a few times, trying to register what he had just said. "Oh," I let out, staring at him blankly as he looked at me expectantly, waiting for me to say something.
"Okay. . .um. . .why didn't you tell me?" I asked, glancing down at Ariella, checking on her; she was too busy drinking.
"I wanted it to be a surprise," he answered, his hazel eyes going to Ariella.
"That's fine," I responded, "but I wanna help too. Is Juliet and the kids still here?"
"Yeah, they're in the living room."
Ariella stopped, moving her head away as she gazed upwards at me, a little bit of milk coming out of her mouth. I wiped it away gently with her bib, putting my breast back and lifting her up, beginning to burp her.
As I patted her back, rubbing it as I whispered nervously, "what if she's dead?"
"Gotta hope for the best, mia cara," I nodded, giving him a small smile. Exhaling softly, Ariella burped and I stopped, letting her rest in my arms.
I smiled at her, those cute hazel eyes of her gazing upwards at me.
~~~
It was late at night.
Juliet and her family were in their room, ready for bed whilst Cris and I were downstairs in the living room, watching a movie together.
Ariella was in her Moses basket, quietly sleeping whilst her parents spent some time together. I snuggled against Cris, our hands intertwining with each other.
"I missed this," I whispered, my head against his chest, feeling his heartbeat. His hand went up and down my waist slowly as he kissed my temple. "Me too. And sex."
I rolled my eyes, chuckling as he did the same, sighing softly.
The movie ended and I went to reach for the remote to pick another one until Cris's hand stopped me. I sat up, curiously looking at him as he got up, taking something out his pocket and holding it into his closed hand.
I raised an eyebrow at him as he turned off the television and stood on front of me. I sat properly on the sofa, looking up at him. "What are you doing?" I asked cautiously.
Then he held his hand out at me and I noticed the word on his skin.
Press
I rolled my eyes, his hazel eyes intently gazing at me as he said nothing.
I pressed his hand and one of his fingers went out, another word on it.
Twist
I cautiously looked at him, twisting his finger and his hand did a 180°.
Pull
His hand opened and there was a diamond ring.
I gasped, my eyes widening as I went speechless, my heart stopping. I met his eyes, blinking as I covered my mouth, automatically tensing up as I realised one thing: he was proposing.
He went down on one knee and the look on his beautiful eyes made tears come into mind. My heart ached for him, a million questions causing a tsunami in my mind. I didn't know how to think, I didn't know what to say. No words came from me as I stared at him in shock, wondering if he was being for real.
"Rose, I thought I would take out this ring and no words would come out but now I realise, there's so much I could say about you. So much I love about you - so much. I could go on and on about everything you already know or I could just say; I'm in this for the long ride, no games, no player stuff, no messing around. It's not just a sex thing, it's love and I love you more than anything, baby."
Tears rolled down my cheeks and I couldn't control them anymore, my body beginnings tremble.
"I wanna go on the rest of my journey in life with you and our baby. I want you to be my wife - with you, you make me crazy, the right kind of crazy and without you, you make me the bad type of crazy and that's not a good thing."
A soft, shaky chuckle came from me as I sniffed, wiping my eyes with my trembling hands.
He smiled, continuing, "I wanna grow old with you, have a whole bunch of kids, grandkids - all of it. I'll be there when your tits and butt sag and my handsome dimples turn into wrinkles - when we're complaining and whining and waddling around with sticks. Remembering all the good times of when we were young-"
I grabbed his face and kissed him intensely, pulling him to me and he lost his balance, falling on top of me. I laughed against his warm lips, hugging him tightly as we kissed passionately, our bodies pressed against one another as we kissed, my hands going to his hair and his hands by my sides, propping himself up.
When I pulled away, I gazed into his handsome eyes, a smile forming on my face. I pecked his lips once more, slowly and lovingly.
"I can't imagine my life without you, Cristiano Rossi," I whispered, his mesmerising eyes never leaving mine. "I love you and I want to be your wife." His eyes lit up and I took the ring from him, my eyes gazing at it.
"So, yes," I gently answered, smiling happily as I slid it onto my left finger. "I'll marry you, Cristiano."
A large smile came onto his face, a chuckle coming from him.
"I love you, Rose."
"I love you too, Cris."
He leaned down, so close to kissing me again until there was a loud whine coming from Ariella.
We both laughed as Cris sat up, pulling me upwards as I smiled at him, lovingly gazing at him.
He picked up Ariella and I grinned, kissing her cheek.
"Yes, Ella," I said with a chuckle, "we love you too."
"I can't imagine my life any other way without my Queen and Princess."
Then he leaned in and kissed me, making me feel like the happiest woman alive.
THE END
__________
Yes, I'm not joking. It's the end of Cristiano's Craving sadly.
Sorry for not posting earlier and consistently but I've been quite ill and busy lately.
First of all, I'd like to say thank you to all of your support on the second instalment of the Rossis'. It's been a pleasure writing this book and I'm proud of how much people are reading and commenting such kind things.
I feel as though this book is a lot better compared to Vincenzo's Lover, which was my first book, as I've learned from the mistakes there and adapted on them. As you can see, Rose is a lot stronger compared to Mia and some might say that Cris isn't as bad as Vincenzo or some may think different.
Let's just say, Dante and Leonardo are going to be different :)
Yes, that's right, I'm going to be working on their stories. It isn't fair to leave the other brothers out.
Their stories might be different to the prequels at the back of Vincenzo's Lover as I may change the storyline for the better. But you can still read those prequels and believe in them or the new versions. Either way, the boys are gonna have their own stories.
I want to change the way I end stories too. People need to stop getting married at the end, sheesh! I couldn't think of a different way though.
Do you guys want anything else; backstories? Future questions?
Comment below!
Thank you again for reading Cristiano's Craving and staying until the end. I'm so grateful for all the kind readers and commenters and all who voted.
Look out for Leonardo and Dante's stories!
