Training Camp

YOUR POV
I woke up bright and early to start packing for the training camp. I found a large panda duffel and stuffed a torch, my phone, headphones, toiletries, my launcher and bey & other essentials of the training camp. Knowing Wakiya, his so-called cabin will probably have electricity & wifi, so I didn't worry.
I slung the duffel bag over my shoulder, grabbed my jacket, and ran to the train station, where I was meeting up with everybody.
'Hey!' I exclaimed happily, running over to them. 'I hope I'm not too late?'
'No, not late at all,' Shu hugged me. Wakiya groaned.
'Alright lovebirds, you can stop the hugging session,' Wakiya rolled his eyes.
'I think somebody's jealous,' Nika giggled to Toko.
'I am NOT!' Wakiya cried out. 'Anyways, where is your big brother?'
As if on cue, Valt came running in yelling out 'Rush Launch!' He swung his arms as he ran, colliding into Wakiya.
'Hey! Watch it! Ok, we're leaving now!' Wakiya yelled. 'Hoji won't be coming!'
Everyone climbed aboard a train, which Wakiya had hired for private use. This time, I made sure to sit next to Shu, with Valt across from me. I looked out the window. We were zooming past a lush forest, with green hills looming in the back. The water below us was sparkling, and rocks were dappled across the water. It reminded me of Ukio's blue hair. I sighed. Even though we had broken up, I still thought we should still be friends. I just hope our friendship wasn't damaged.
'Guys, I don't know if this could get any better,' Valt said, excitedly, breaking through my thoughts. I turned around to face him. 'We're gonna be battling all day! All beyblade all the time, no bedtime lights out! I feel a song coming on!'
Everyone groaned as Valt started singing an off-tune version of Mary had a Little Lamb. I turned to Shu and we started talking about our lives and families, and I found myself chatting away like I was talking to Valt or Xander, until we arrived at the 'cabin'.

We had already settled in into a rooms, in the cabin, which (like I had predicted) had turned out to be a two-story mansion. I took a grand white and cold room, with a large king-size (A/N Is that king-sized?) bed, with a curtains hanging down and roses at the back. I had a large panorama view of the mountains and the forest, and I saw, in the distance, the dojo. It made me feel a little homesick, but it was ok. Shu and I had adjoining rooms, connected by a large gold door. That made me feel safer and closer to him, and much-less homesick.
(If you don't like it, go find another room)
I found a card on my bedside table. It was plain blue, nothing written on it. Tsujihara (the butler) then came in and told me to come to the training room. I walked downstairs curiously, with everyone else (except for Wakiya). We emerged in a large white room with gold décor (A/N The theme, is gold and white, you can change the colours if you don't like), numerous training machines, a height and weight measurer, a row of fitbits, and to top it off, a hot chocolate machine.
'It's all state of the art equipment, just like Master Wakiya's training facility in the Murasaki House,' Tsujihara said.
'It's training room, not a facility,' Honcho silently grumbled. 'Anyway, then why did we have to come out all the way to the boonies, instead of staying at the city?'
'I have a little something extra for you here,' Wakiya smirked. Then he stood to the side, and revealed a huge stadium, with four spikey-zones on the stadium. But unlike the Shakadera Special, there was a huge blue spot in the middle. It almost seemed like a trap. 'Tada! What do you think, pretty intense right? It's called a Biting Stadium. I had it brought in from overseas just for this training camp.'
'Show-off,' I grumbled.
'I heard that!' screamed Wakiya. 'Anyway, we don't know much about it, except it's a trap called the Biting Fang. I read up on it, but I haven't had a chance to test it out.'
'Whaddaya, say, who wants to break this bad boy in?' Wakiya asked the group.
'I will,' Daigo and I both said simultaneously. We walked to opposite sides of the stadium, and lowered our launcher.
That stance, I thought, gazing at Daigo's setup, he isn't set out for a Quake Launch, but his stance is like it's on the edge, on the tip of moving into a tilted position. He's going to change it up last second, and go with Quake Launch. If that happens, both our beys are attack types, so we're locked in on a collision in the middle of the stadium. If that happens, I'll use Suspend Launch to knock Doomscizor in the air, and hit the trap. Sorry Daigo, but I'm winning this match.
'3 2 1! Let it rip! '
The match went exactly as I predicted, knocking Doomscizor into the trap.
'No! Get out of there, quick!' Daigo yelled.
But it was too late. Doomscizor landed on the blue spot, activating the trap. The fangs shut on Doomscizor, bursting it on the stadium. Everyone gasped.
'D - Doomscizor...' Daigo gasped, while holding the pieces.
'Now that is just what need!' Wakiya grinned. I frowned.
'Are you crazy?' I yelled at him. 'Doomscizor could have been broken in half from your crazy machine!'
'Exactly, that's what makes it so beautiful. We need it to toughen up our beys. Get better, or get broken.'
There was silence.
'Fine,' I muttered.
'Anyway, why do you think I brought six of you here?'
'So we would have an even team to play tag?' suggested Valt cluelessly. Wakiya shook his head.
'You're hopeless, anyone else?'
'With six of us, we could do a simulation team battle,' Shu explained.
'Should've known you would get it,' Wakiya smirked. 'Shu gets the bonus points. Do I need to explain how a team battle works?'
'No, we've already down it at the dojo!' Honcho said.
'This isn't king of the court, Honcho,' I said.
'Oh. Please explain.'
'The individual tournament is held after the team battles. Of the five in the team, three are chosen to battle. They each only get one chance. The team who gets three points first wins,' Wakiya explained. 'Ok. Get into your groups, according to the colour of the card. Team blue there, team red here.'
I was in team blue, and was pleasantly surprised to see Valt and Shu in my team.
'They're going to go with Wakiya. Any takers?' Shu asked Valt and I.
'I will,' I said, walking up to the stadium face off against Wakiya.
' 3 2 1! Let it rip! '
Wyvron went into the middle, and Xcalius zoomed around it. Xcalius moved suddenly towards Wyvron, knocking it as hard as it could.
'Ha! Don't tell me you've forgotten about Shield Crash!'
I smirked. That special move is going to be Wakiya's downfall.
'Quick Xcalius, move out of the way!'
Xcalius zoomed away from Wyvron, and Wyvron went straight into the trap. Wakiya realized too late.

It was night time and the stars were out, but I couldn't sleep. I sighed and walked out to the balcony. The sky was a deep blue, dotted with bright dots and other blinking things. I could just see the dojo.
I started to climb up a drainpipe to the roof. For some reason climbing made me feel peaceful. Back at the dojo I always climbed trees. The feel of the adrenaline, the breeze and the views was something I lived for.
But I wasn't alone. As I reached the top I saw a figure, Red Eye.
