Your POV

'So the order is (y/n), Shu, then me, ok?' Valt said. I nodded.

It was the day of the first round of Nationals team battles. We were up against Ice Blaze. I knew Quon was most likely to go first, so I wanted to go first to battle him. We haven't battle in ages, since he left the dojo a year or two ago. We grew up together with Xander, so he was practically like my brother. I helped him get up the courage to kiss his crush, and he planned out Ukio and I's first date. I knew he was still with that girl, but I don't think he knew I broke up with Ukio. 

Quetziko is a defense type, so it's basically the opposite of Xcalius. It's the same with Quon's personality. He was the ice to Xander and I's flame, and while we talked more, Quon usually stood back and observed before chatting.

'What? I was supposed to be in that line-up!' Wakiya cried angrily.

'Yeah, me too!' Honcho yelled. They both looked at each other.

'In your dreams!' they sniped simultaneously. Daigo stood between them and reached his arms out.

'Stop it, you two,' Daigo interrupted. 'It's Valt's choice.'

'And you're fine with this?' Valt asked in a surprised tone.

'Hey, if you think you have a better chance of winning with me on the bench, I'm all for it.'

'Wow thanks Daigo!' I said, hugging him. 'I'll go win this for the team.'

'First up from Beigoma Academy Bey Club!'

I groaned when I heard that name. 'Why hasn't anybody changed that?'

'It's (y/n)! And from Ice Blaze, it's Quon Limon!'

We stood in front of the crowd, clutching our beys.

'Listen, (y/n)! You are like a sister to me, but I won't let that-'

I ran into him and hugged him, interrupting his speech.

'I've missed you so much!'

'Uh oh, looks like a friendly reunion has interrupted the game!'

I heard Shu smile and Wakiya groan.

'Sorry Quon, I have to let you know...me and Ukio broke up. Shu and I are dating now,' I whispered into his ear. 'Now let's start this battle!'

Clink! (A/N, is that the noise beys make when they fall?)

Quetziko laid on the ground. Quon picked it up.

'Gotta say, (y/n), you've improved,' Quon smiled. 'And you and Shu...you weren't joking, right?'

When I nodded, he grinned even more.

'I'm glad you're happy.' He walked away.

The second Ice Blaze opponent bey had been bursted by Shu. He did his traditional thing, lifting his hair up to show the crowd the scar Lui had given him.

'Oh man! Good job Shu, but now I don't even get to go!' Valt complained. I laughed. 

'C'mon, let's go say bye to Ice Blaze!'

'(y/n), your blading has improved. And you've found a new family. It suits you.'

'Thanks,' I grinned. 'Same with you.'

We all shook hands and left. 

I turned around and hugged Shu. He laughed at this surprise.

'What's this for?'

'Just because.'

Hope ya'll enjoyed it! Keep on commenting which one you want, sister of Lui and a Shu x reader, or a sister of Shu and a Lui x Reader. So far, I think it's most likely to be a sister of Lui, Shu x Reader one.

Sorry for the short chapter! Evey Wednesday I have dance until about 7:30pm, so I get home quite late, so expect some short chapters every Wednesday! I will try and make it longer tomorrow, in the next chapter! Comment if you want the chapter to be between the main character and Shu, or the Sword Flames versus Beigoma!
