"I know, I've been a jerk and I don't deserve you."

"Jimin, I-"

"No, it's alright, I actually gave it a nice thought and realised where I went wrong. I know now," he took a pause to breathe, "I know."

After Taehyung left Jungkook alone with his friends, Jungkook wasted little to no time and asked Jimin if they could have a chat.

Jimin was hesitant. Probably still not ready for a confrontation, although he knew this was an inevitable conversation, he was scared. Scared of losing a friend.

"I should have been honest with my feelings from the very beginning. It was my fault for behaving the way I did and choosing the wrong method to cope with... the disappointment and heartbreak." Jimin's eyes were sincere and firm as he looked at his friend and continued.

"I was afraid and lonely. I didn't want to lose you, Jk, I would rather die than-" he was clearly having a hard time with his words, the way he chocked on his own saliva said it all, "and yet, I still lost you. It was all because of me. I'm the only one to blame for my downfall in your heart."

"Jimin..." Jungkook whispered, feeling equally emotional as he saw Jimin's hands tremble while he tried to explain the best he could.

"I've never said it, have I?" Jimin's face contorted into a sad smile as his eyes teared up, "I've loved you for a very long time, but I knew you never did, you never could."

Jungkook looked down, knowing that it was true. Though he loved Jimin as a friend, he could never reciprocate the same feelings Jimin had for him.

"Maybe if I had told you beforehand, you'd be a little bit nicer to me?" Jimin still looked at Jungkook's eyes that looked down at his hand.

"Maybe, if you knew how much I was suffering, you would realise that what I was doing was just to forget all about my stupid feelings for you. Then, you might not have looked at me as if I were disgusting and-" that was all he could say before he broke down into a series of sobs.

Jungkook sighed, watching him burry his face in his hands as the tears spilled from his eyes, and then he scooted closer to him, hugging his vulnerable self.

"I know, and I'm sorry too, for not confronting you about all of it earlier. If I had initiated the conversation, maybe you wouldn't have gone down that path." he patted his back in a comforting way.

"I'm such an idiot," Jimin half cried, half laughed at the situation.

Jungkook comforted him while he cried like a baby without any hesitation, it sure was funny.

"Yes, you are," Jungkook laughed along as the mood lightened.

Jimin leaned back, distancing himself from him as he spoke, "but, you don't have to worry about me anymore, I'm over it. Also, after that horrible thing your boyfriend made me go through as a part of the game-"

"Hold up! what?! My boyfriend?" Jungkook's voice went an octave higher as he yelled.

"That's not the point," Jimin shrugged it off and continued, "what I want to say is, if you forgive me for whatever happened in the past and agree to move on, can we start over? Of course, as best friends again. I swear I'm over it, I will cherish the feelings I had for you, but I've said goodbye to them already."

"Alright, I forgive you. That's what I wanted to talk to you about anyways. You just have to promise that you'll never fuck around again, no matter what happens. Okay?" he pulled out his hand, holding out his pinky finger.

Jimin chuckled, "I promise, I'll be a good boy," and entangled his little finger with Jungkook's bigger one.

They both smiled, knowing that this was a new beginning and everything was going to be alright. Just like how it used to be.

"If you guys are done crying, can we talk?" Jin knocked on the door, entering inside the room.

"We weren't crying," Jimin was quick to wipe away the remaining proof off his cheeks.

"Oh, I can see it very well," Jin shook his head and looked at Jungkook.

"We're done, let's go, I also wanna talk to you about all the vampire drama."

Once in the room where everyone was present, they sat down together as Jungkook started talking.

"So, I'm confused about one thing." he paused to look at everyone and lastly, his eyes stopped at Jin.

He nodded, urging him to continue.

"Since you weren't really there, but you still suffered a big blow, and Taehyung said that they had to turn you into a vampire. But, you were never really there. Are you... really a vampire now?"

"Good question. And to answer it, yes, I really am a vampire now. Do you think it's a bad or a good thing?" Jin asked, still smiling. Judging by his smile, it must not be too bad.

Before Jungkook could say anything, Jimin beat him to it.

"Of course, it's a good thing, you got yourself a free lover."

"What?!" Jungkook exclaimed loudly.

"Jimin, you-" Jin got up, instinctively searching for a domestic weapon to hit him.

"Hey, hey, violence is not the answer, and I never said anything wrong." Jimin defended himself, hiding behind Jungkook's back. Meanwhile, Yoongi and Hobi were just looking at the drama unfolding before their eyes.

"Oh," Jin laughed sarcastically, "now that you've made up with him, doesn't mean that he'll take your side and can save you from me."

Jin went ahead with full speed but Jimin circled around Jungkook to dodge him. Jungkook was about to explode now though!

"Wait!! Both of you!" he yelled as everyone suddenly went silent. Jin cleared his throat for the nth time and went back to his chair while still glaring at Jimin.

"Can we talk about serious matters first?" Jungkook asked, sounding all mature.

"Sure," Jin replied with a nervous shrug.

"Thank you," now that everyone was settled back, he looked at Jin for him to continue.

"What I was saying is, Kim Namjoon was the one who gave me a new life. I was still under his watch all this time so-"

"So he fell in love with his kind and smart brain," Jimin, even though warned otherwise, butted in.

"Well that's true," before Jin could get angry, Yoongi interfered them.

"Yoongi-ah, you too?" Jin whined but didn't deny.

"So, that's how it is!" Jungkook nodded his head, "I assume that you don't have any big problems with this new, um, form of your body?" he asked.

"Not anything so far. I just had to be really careful about going outside in the sun and what things I ate for a while but it's alright now." Jin answered.

"That means you can go back to living the normal life back in Seoul, right?" Jungkook's eyes were full of hope. He'd hate it if Jin wouldn't be able to go back to his normal life because of this mess.

"Um, I think so... but, I'll have to stay here for a bit more."

"Are you sure it's not just because you want to spend more time with Namjoon?" Jimin teased him and he sighed.

Everyone laughed and a lively atmosphere surrounded them again. Putting the jokes aside, Jungkook was surprised to know about Jin and Namjoon. Did they both like each other? Or was it just from his friend's side? How did it all progress to this?

But he was happy that Jin was taken good care of. Funny enough to the point where he literally fell for his caregive. He finally smiled with contentment and exhaled the breath which he felt like was holding for a very long time.

Everything seemed to be slipping into their right places and he couldn't ask for anything more.

Oh, wait! He was forgetting about that book.

"Jungkook, why don't you sleepover with us tonight?" Hobi asked him and he came back from his train of thoughts.

"Oh..? I think, I'll leave for now. Sorry, but there's still something I need to take care of before I can peacefully have a sleepover." he informed with a sad smile.

"It's alright, Kook, do your thing. Don't worry about it." he patted his back, somewhat in encouragement and comfort.

"Thanks, hyung."

"Guess who's back?" Jungkook sang the words out as he made his way into the room.

"My sweetheart, of course." Taehyung put aside whatever he was preoccupied with and turned around to face him with a smile.

"By the look on your face, it seems as though it went well," Taehyung remarked as he saw Jungkook's happy expressions.

"Yes, it did. They were even telling me to have a sleepover tonight but I refused," he said, taking a seat on the bed with a sigh.

"Why so?" Taehyung asked, sitting on the sofa chair.

"Did you forget about the book already? Aren't we going to read it now? I'm getting impatient at this point!" Jungkook said, words rushed.

"Easy there, darling, I did not know you could be this excited about a seemingly stressful looking little book? Is that the only thing occupying your mind right now?" Taehyung complained.

"What? Are you jealous of a book now? What right do you have to be jealous?" Jungkook folded his hands in front of his chest, squinting his eyes at Taehyung.

"What do you mean by that?" Taehyung asked, replying with the same intense stare.

"What? You never said anything about us. What are we that it gives you the right to be jealous, Mr Vampire?" Jungkook stood up, knowingly taking slow steps towards Taehyung whose eyes followed his every move.

"Is that so?" Taehyung muttered, totally lost in the way Jungkook moved painfully slow towards him. He wanted him seated down on his lap as his eyes scanned his face, then they traveled down on his torso, looking at his tiny waist. He wanted to hold him close.

"So, tell me, what are we, Taehyung?" he was finally close enough to touch him, but Jungkook wouldn't let Taehyung do it first. He reached his hand out to touch Taehyung's face, fingers trailing the perfectly chiseled cheekbones and down to his jawline.

"Do I have to? Is it not obvious enough?" he asked in a daze, as if he were drugged by Jungkook's charms.

"It is, but it's more important for me to hear it directly from you," he was really very close to him by now that Taehyung's face was almost buried in his firm yet soft stomach while he continued to trail his fingers on his face.

"Lovers," Taehyung said, voice low, almost a whisper.

The younger's face instantly lit up with a mischievous smile.

"Now that's right," he said in a voice that matched Taehyung's deeper one.

"I have said it before, sweetheart, do not test my patience." Taehyung warned as his hands reached out to hold onto Jungkook's waist, embracing him while he still sat on the chair.

Jungkook's heart was already on the edge and this only added fuel to the fire. If this keeps going on, his dream, the one he saw long ago might just come true. Was he ready though?

He gulped, but went ahead and gently started caressing the elder's hair.

"You cannot back down once you have stirred awoke the desires in me, Jungkook." Taehyung mumbled, nuzzling his nose in Jungkook's shirt. It smelled like him. And wouldn't it be even better if the shirt was out of his way?

"Would you like to take a shower, my love?"
