"If you have so many trust issues, I can just give you the proof right now, shall I?"

"Wait- hey, hey!! No-" Jungkook panicked when Taehyung stared right at him while his hands slowly started to unbutton his victorian shirt.

It was hot!

"Why are you scared now?" Taehyung kept his hands on the shirt which was already unbuttoned halfway.

Jungkook covered his chest by his hands once again, "I'm not scared, but can't you just let me be for once?!"

Now Taehyung was done with unbuttoning as he sat down on one of the big rocks around the shore, giving a nice view of his torso to Jungkook who decided not to focus on his very visible abdomen.

"That's what I was doing, I just forgot to give you something important,"

"What is more important than giving an innocent man his privacy while he's bathing?"

"The innocent man's underwear," Taehyung said while being at the verge of laughing.

"Huh?!" he was half flustered, half confused as he threw a scared glance where he had put his clothes on the grassy dirt.

His clothes were safe! But then what was Taehyung talking about?

"You weren't going to use the same one again, were you?" what type of conversation is this?! Jungkook didn't know what to answer, he just fiddled around on his place in awkwardness.

"I've brought you a new one! It's fresh and clean." Jungkook grimaced when Taehyung reached out his hand, holding a piece of white fabric that seemed soft in Jungkook's eyes. Isn't it just weird?

"Uh, whatever, just put it there and please, leave me alone." he had no other idea as to how he can reply in a cool way, something that will leave Taehyung speechless and pondering over his words like Taehyung does to Jungkook, but at the end he was unable to find proper words and decided to just answer anything.

Typical Jungkook behaviour!

"No can do," Taehyung ignored his words.

"Seriously?" his annoyance was very visible by the way he let his arms fold against his chest which were previously trying to prevent Taehyung from peeking at his chest, but he didn't feel the need to do so anymore. He was way too done to think about all that!

"Come on, I'm just a harmless vampire!" well, not exactly. Jungkook fought back the urge to roll his eyes. He didn't want to see Taehyung's amused expressions right now, because he knew whenever he'd given some type of reaction, Taehyung had loved it.

Jungkook stared at him until he started walking and dipped his feet in the water, hands flying up to remove the shirt entirely from his upper body and Jungkook just wanted to disappear. He would lie if he said that his eyes didn't itch to look back when he silently looked away from Taehyung at the sight of his exposed skin.

Taehyung was a fine man. He wasn't built like a tank or something but he had defined muscles on his body which didn't go unnoticed by Jungkook. He was a fitness freak who loved working out but Taehyung's body was weirdly attractive even if he didn't have very defined six packs. Jungkook knew that even without much strong physical appearance, Taehyung would win over him if they were to fight and he'd like to keep that in mind all the time.

"Sure, you are." Jungkook turned around, not really caring about anything because, well first, he didn't want to look into Taehyung's teasing and mocking eyes and second, he wasn't sure how his heart would react If Taehyung suddenly felt like he wanted to remove his pants as well.

That would end in a disaster! A very deadly disaster for his heart.

He didn't trust his heart anymore when it came to Taehyung and that was concerning.

"Sweetheart,"

"Jesus christ-" Jungkook nearly bent and doubled over under the water. If it wasn't for Taehyung sliding his hand around Jungkook's waist and preventing him from slipping, he would be playing with bubbles with fishes by now.

"You're a vampire, not a ghost, why do you keep creeping up on me?" Jungkook put a hand on his chest, feeling his heart drumming the walls of his ribcage. The sudden voice just beside his ears had startled the living daylights out of him. Taehyung let go of him, stepping back.

"I thought I made my presence clear? Didn't you see ne entering the lake waters?"

"No, I don't pay attention to useless things. I'm here to take a bath only, which you're not letting me do peacefully." now that Jungkook was turned back around to face a grinning Taehyung, his eyes again stole a glimpse of what looked like shining crystals under the bright sunlight and reflecting rays in the water but it was just Taehyung's skin.

Jungkook found himself thinking deeply about it. From the books he had read before, Vampires are not really supposed to be out in the sunlight, are they?

He looked back again, eyes full of child-like curiosity and wondered if he touched it, would it feel warm or cold like his lips had felt when they kissed. It was more than a kiss, but he decided to consider it a forced kiss from Taehyung's side. That way he could feel a little better about it.

"Curious?"

Jungkook slowly remembered Taehyung's words from long ago when he said that he was different from others and that he could tolerate sun and its heat better than those typical vampires. It was so mysterious in a thrilling way.

Taehyung was so mysterious. When a character from a fictional book gets attracted to a very apparent danger, Jungkook now realised why they did so! Whenever the red light of the possibility of any type of danger showed its sign to Jungkook, Taehyung's undoubtedly shining and charming eyes blinded his vision.

"How do you kno- I mean, what?" Jungkook scrambled for words.

"Don't you want to know more?" more about how Taehyung always manages his way into Jungkook's mind and turns the right screws to make him curious.

"Want to touch it?" Taehyung had sensed Jungkook's eyes on his skin that was exposed to the sun. For Jungkook, it was a sign of making a run for life but instead, he wonders if it would be okay to touch him.

Taehyung's skin was chiselled like porcelain and built fine like a wine. He must take great care of his skin! Jungkook had thought when his heart did that thing which seemed like a skip of beat.

Taehyung brought his hand up to his face, running it through his hair and the water ran down his hand, trailing the veins visible on his forearm and dripping down by his elbow. Jungkook's eyes followed the small trail of water, feeling lost and weak.

The water ran across his chest as well when he brought his hand up, soaking him even more so now his body was practically, literally, shining.

"Don't you feel uncomfortable in sunlight?" Jungkook asked away, his inner demons wining the battle against his brain.

"No, why would I?"

"It's... it's not going to hurt you? The sun is really bright," he didn't tear his eyes off his chest and neck, which were glistening under the direct sun. Jungkook's hands were twitching to reach out and caress the outline of Taehyung's collarbone and run his fingers across the measures of his chest, to calculate the heat surrounding his skin or the cold that had sept into it, but he restrained and restricted himself to make a move. It's not right. This is not the right thing to do.

He has seen many attractive males and females in his life, Taehyung isn't the only one, he reminded himself and looked away.

"You can touch me, Jungkook." Taehyung's voice came out very soft and welcoming as if he was a whole different person.

Taehyung hasn't been the same as before. He now takes things lightly and even jokes around with Jungkook but Jungkook just can't trust him wholly for some reason. Well, the reasons are very apparent! Taehyung is a threat to him and his friends. His friends! Yes, he needs to save all of them.

"As if I'm interested!" He was interested regardless of what he said but he can't let Taehyung know that so he scoffed to show the fake sincerity of his words.

"I'm sure you are, darling." Taehyung now took a step near him, making Jungkook twitch a brow at him. Taehyung looked at him up and down, eyeing him intensively. Jungkook was thankful that the water wasn't glass-like clear because he was butt naked.

"You know how I can read minds," Taehyung started.

"But not mine!" Jungkook interrupted him but that only earned him a chuckle from Taehyung and he was suddenly trying to set free from Taehyung's hold on his waist. When did Taehyung caught up to him? He remembered stepping backwards but now he was standing inches away from Taehyung.

"I can read your body, sweetheart, and it's screaming that you're curious about me, that you do want to touch it and see for yourself if I feel like what you have expected or not."

"I.. I haven't expected anything from a vampire like you! Nothing more than a sinister betrayal." he dug his nails on Taehyung's arm which was still holding his waist in place. Jungkook's groin was probably collided with the fabric of Taehyung's pants with the way he was pulling him in but all Jungkook could do was try to break free.

Just imagine a lake in between a deep forest, surrounded with trees and bushes, topped with faint mist even with the bright sunlight peeking through the branches of trees that fall above its water and Jungkook is shivering, even in the hot water, being held by a hot vampire who is half naked and he is holding his own naked self close to him. Can he see an escape from this situation? Not really. Is he enjoying this? Much to his surprise, he didn't hate it but he was scared.

Scared that he is slowly getting pulled into Taehyung's trap and honey dripping venomous tactics. He should be keeping his cool and distance from him. Taehyung is a red flag which his heart is ignoring. Jungkook was supposed to be helping his friends but his mind is more occupied by this vampire now. It's making him feel guilty.

"I have never betrayed you, Jungkook." he slowly started to draw little circles behind Jungkook's back which sent shivers down his spine and goosebumps arose on his skin.

"You can do it anytime," Jungkook refused to let his guard down. It felt like, it was already too late to be precautious though!

"Alright," Taehyung's fingers came to a stop and his eyes changed from relaxed to sharp, "you can touch me and I promise not to lay a single teeth on you while you do so," he spoke with care, "unless you want me too!" and concluded with a teasing edge in his voice.

For a second, Jungkook was tempted to do it. He can touch Taehyung's skin which was sparkling because of the water droplets and see how it feels right there!

Before he could scold himself for even considering Taehyung's words, his hands were already out of the cozy warmth of water and ready to approach Taehyung's skin with curiosity.

He wasn't thinking about the cons of his actions because the pros had blinded his wisdom. If he was going to regret it, better to do it after he knows how Taehyung's skin feels under the pad of his fingers. He was really tempted to know.

And when he finally put his hand on Taehyung's chest, finger slightly grazing on the smooth surface, the coolness surprised him but he kind of expected it and quickly recovered from it. He wanted to feel Taehyung's heart. Do vampires have heartbeats? Most probably not, Jungkook knew it too and yet his hand slowly glided itself onto the left side of Taehyung's chest, flattening his palm.

"Are you disappointed?" Taehyung had a bitter smile on his face for a second before it was vanished. "You can't sense my heartbeat. It isn't there anymore."

"Your heart?" Jungkook keeps his hand there, secretly liking the cool effect on his palm.

"No, sweetheart. It's still there but it doesn't beat anymore." he sounded... almost sweet, like he had meant the nickname he'd used. It sounded like he had used it with all the emotions he had.

Taehyung was used to calling Jungkook nicknames very often. Jungkook should've been able to get used to it by now, right? But he cursed internally, he had feet his heart flutter at the sound of it.

He was screwed!

Did you notice something strange? Yes, the tense have changed. I felt like the present tense was a bit weird (idk why) so I changed it to past tense. I'll eventually edit all the previous chapters too. Hope it didn't ruin the chapter for you.
