[Angst warning]

"Why are you scared, hm? I will take care of everything. It's just a small thing, I can do just that much for my friend, right?" Jin's lips were curled up in a sweet smile as he stared at Jungkook who was sitting alone in the dark room.
"Thank you, Hyung. What will I do without you?" he sighed, finally smiling as Jin hugged him, warmth flooding through his heart in an instant.
...
"You want to leave the club? But you're really good at dancing, Jungkook! Why aren't you continuing with us? Just help us till the competition, will ya?" the man's words pierced through Jungkook's heart.
He did want to continue dancing, but, the condition of his father had put him in a difficult situation. He could put his concentration into nothing at a time like that.
"Why are you forcing him? Come on, dude! Don't you trust me? I'll win you the competition on behalf of him." Hobi stepped up, smiling like a ray of hope, speaking for Jungkook.
"You don't have to worry, Jk. I'll take care of it." Hobi whispered to him in secret.
...
"You're really talented, Kook." Yoongi smiled, patting on Jungkook's back as he said so.
"Not more than you." Jungkook smiled with him.
"I will be the first buyer if you decide to publish an album. Really!" he continued to laugh, half teasing and half encouraging Jungkook to keep trying.
"You're looking too far ahead in the future, Hyung." Jungkook kept his smile intact, internally feeling thankful.
"I'll be your first supporter." Yoongi gave him a last pat on the shoulder and resumed his work.
...
"Man! You suck at this game." Jimin laughed, throwing a fist at Jungkook's shoulder, playfully hitting him.
"Me? Suck at a game? No way!!" Jungkook got hyped up, determined to win the next round.
Jungkook, who was sad all day, moping around in his apartment for days because of a heartbreak; he is now laughing and playing with Jimin, who, sometimes acts like he doesn't care but is really fond of Jungkook and he knew it too.
"I'll see you in the next showdown!!" Jimin threw a glare at him and they continued to bicker while playing the video game.
...
All those memories flashed in front of Jungkook's eyes at the mention of his love for his friends.
"Friends? They're like my family." Jungkook smiled bitterly, thinking about all that was happening. It was his fault that his friends were in that situation.
Taehyung didn't reply, only continued to look at him.
"If it wasn't for them, I would have given up on my life long time ago. Feeling thankful is a thing, but I owe them a lot more than you can imagine." Jungkook sat down on the ground. Caring about his clothes getting dirty, at this point, would be useless.
Taehyung stood near him, leaving a couple of meters in between them, both of them looking at the water reflecting the moon.
"They are always there for me, no matter what." he smiled, suddenly remembering something, "for them, bros come before hoes; oh, except Jimin..." he laughed, half heartedly, but his eyes twinkled with adoration he had for them.
"Do you have friends?" Jungkook asked Taehyung, all of a sudden, which kind of startled him.
Taehyung scoffed, smiling at the question. "Do you think we, vampires, can have allies? Our relationships are either based on blood or blood." he stayed silent after that, thinking that Jungkook needed time to understand what he just said.
Blood relationship, someone who shares the same blood as you. The real blood relationship, which might either kill you or make you the superior one. Fighting for survival as a vampire must be a common thing for them. Thinking there might be many other vampires, living alongside humans, Jungkook had a chill of unknown fear run down his spine.
"So, you only have business relationships?" Jungkook put his thoughts in words.
"Hm, you could say that." this time, Jungkook stayed silent.
"If you love your friends that much, can't you really sacrifice your life for them? Isn't playing with their lives a bit too much hassle?" Taehyung spoke with caution, each of his words were calculated.
"You must take me as a fool to think that I would give in so easily." Jungkook threw him a glare, eyes sharp with determination.
"We have decided to go through this together and we will. If I only have to die at the end, I'd still prefer fighting till I can, alongside my friends." this was what kept Taehyung constantly interested in what Jungkook was thinking.
Jungkook knew what he was doing, he had his own morals and he was willing to do anything for his friends, but not at the price of his own life. Because, giving up his life in a vampire's hands will only make his friends feel regret for all their lives, that was, if they were still alive after all of this.
"You're stronger than I expected." Taehyung was good at observation, and observing Jungkook, he knew new things about him every single time. It was fascinating how a human could be so intriguing and this attraction wasn't limited to his scent or blood only. His body language, way of thinking and mindset, everything kept Taehyung wanting to know more.
"Why am I the only one who isn't trapped in the illusions?" Jungkook had had this question for a long time now.
"It's for you to figure out." Taehyung wouldn't expose everything so soon.
"It's night already. Take some rest... the other friends of yours will still be waiting for you to find them tomorrow." Taehyung curtly added and disappears from there when Jungkook didn't reply.
"Weird vampire!" Jungkook muttered, following his advice and leaning his head on the tree just beside him.
"Why am I the only one...?" an exhausted sigh left his mouth as he closed his eyes. Soon the cicadas' noise that was surrounding him blended in with his thoughts and he drifted off to sleep due to tiredness.

Jimin opened his eyes, awakened by a loud buzzing near his ears.
"Who the hell? Let me sleep peacefully." he mumbled incoherently.
"You still want to sleep at this time?" Jungkook's sweet giggle filled his ear and a smile started to grow on Jimin's face.
The way his smile gradually became larger when he opened his eyes, finding Jungkook tapping his cheek happily!
"What do you want, Kook?" he again mumbled, voice heavy and hazy. Maybe because he was asleep for too long.
"Jimin, it's past 10 am, shouldn't you be waking up now?" Jungkook now started to tug at Jimin's shirt, pulling him out of the bed.
"Come on, Jimin-ah!! I have something to show you." he then completely pulled him up, so he was now sitting on the bed, hair a mess and clothes wrinkled.
It was just like 4 years ago, when they were still in High school, when they were still best friends. When Jungkook used to smile at him with his doe eyes sparkling and Jimin used to adore his cute tactics of waking him up everyday. Jimin was more than happy to see him back to his usual self again. He couldn't contain his smile while looking at Jungkook who had a pretty big smile himself.
"Okay, okay, fine, I'll go with you." Jimin gave in, ruffling Jungkook's hair as he giggled innocently. He got up, following Jungkook who was holding onto his wrist as he ran a hand through his hair to tame them up a little.
Jungkook led him out of the room and suddenly turned to him, stopped on his tracks.
"What happened?" Jimin asked, still smiling but confused at the same time.
Jungkook didn't speak a word and let go of his wrist. Jimin felt a sudden emptiness when the warmth of his hand around his wrist was gone. He couldn't understand what was going on.
His smile dropped, slowly turning into a frown when Jungkook's eyes turned red; bloodshot red, as if he had been crying all night long.
"Jimin..." he whispered, voice weak and cracked.
Jimin shook his head, trying to clear up his mind and realised that no matter how much he tried, he could only see darkness around him. He was surrounded by pitch black darkness.
He didn't know where the light was coming from but Jungkook standing in front him was dimly illuminated and he could only see him clearly.
"Kook, what happened? Why are you crying?" he approached him, hand in mid-air, trying to touch him.
"Don't touch me, you, asshole." Jungkook suddenly screamed, voice resonating and circling around Jimin.
"Kook-" Jimin couldn't speak further as Jungkook cut him in between.
"Don't call my name. I was wrong, so wrong. You can't be trusted, Jimin. I... I hate you." Jimin frantically tried to get a grasp of the situation, the gears inside his brain turning desperately to find a solution.
"Forgive me... please," Jimin was desperate to get Jungkook to forgive him.
Only when he found his shirt damp with water, he realised that he had been crying all this time. He wiped his tears, confused even more. He looked down at his hand, watching his own tears evaporate from his hands into air.
He broke out in a cold sweat, heart pounding crazily inside his ribcage as he looked up again.
Jugnkook was gone.
"Kook?" he called out to him, trying to find him.
He then saw a beam of light coming from afar. He ran for it, desperation visible in his actions. He finally reached the end of the place and was welcomed by a door which was slightly opened.
He gulped painfully, breathing through his mouth as he pushed the door open and the sudden light blinded his eyes for a single second.
"I like you, Jungkook... do you?" his breath got caught in his throat at the words that he heard.
Jungkook was standing in front of a girl, smiling ear to ear as he nodded his head. Jimin couldn't feel his heart for a moment, it felt like someone was clutching his heart too tightly and all the blood was drained from it.
He felt suffocating, even more so, when Jungkook took a step forward, sliding his hand around the girl's waist as he pulled her closer and leaned down, slowly pressing his lips onto hers. His smile was undying as he kept his hand on her waist and moved his lips on hers. She hugged him back, caressing his back with her dainty hands.
Jimin furiously shook his head, looking at them both kissing each other happily. He was now sobbing, holding onto his shirt as he clutched it out of desperation.
"NO!" he screamed, clenching his fist as his eyes started to blurr his vision because of the amount of tears that rolled down his cheeks.
I hate you, Jimin.
The words started to haunt his memories and his mind went blank. As if someone had muted the surroundings around him, all he could hear was Jungkook's pained voice.
"No, no, you can't..." he cried for help, gripping his forehead in his hands as he slumped down, unable to stand on his feet.
You can't be trusted, Jimin. I hate you.
"No... please,"
I hate you.
I hate you.
"I- I love you, Kook, please, don't hate me." he put all his strength into his voice, hands on the floor, supporting his failing body.
"You can't hate me, Kook. I love you." Jimin said again, eyes closing on its own accord.
"I love you. I love you so much." he kept repeating, trying his best to stay awake.
Guys, I've started dating Ruby. Yes, we love each other a lot.
The laughing sounds of his own friends as they congratulated Jungkook, started to echo inside his head.
Of course, I love only you, sweetheart.
Those words from Jungkook's mouth broke him entirely and he let go of his consciousness, slowly drifting into a deep slumber and his body fell limp on the floor.
"Jimin! Jimin!!" another voice woke him up.
"Huh?" he got up in a frenzy, chest heaving up and down in panic as he found himself laying on his bed, once again.
"What happened?" Jungkook was sitting on his bed, smiling like before.
"Kook," Jimin burst into tears again, quickly pulling Jungkook into him as he hugged him like his life depended on it.
"Please don't hate me, I beg you." Jimin said, his words tangled in between his sobs.
"I don't hate you, Jimin." the voice was no doubt Jungkook's but it sounded different than before.
What exactly was happening?!
