Chapter Thirteen

Unknown POV

I walked up to the cabin and looked in the window to see Xander, the human and Josh still fully knocked out on the floor. I was planning on killing Xander but maybe I would kill Josh too, though I had no use for Caroline anymore, so he wasn't really in the way.

I was surprised how easy it was to hire a mercenary online, though he was quite upset when I only paid him to knock them out instead of kill. I would have done it myself were I let inside. Stupid vampire boundaries and what not.

I watched closely as he knocked them all out, incorrectly knocking out Elizabeth as well. I scolded him, knowing it would anger him. I wasn't worried about him though, I could kill him easily. Once he brought the girl outside, I dismissed him. I could tell he was pretty ticked by me.

Using my supernatural speed, I left with Elizabeth resting on my shoulder. I ran through the woods using my senses to jump over or duck under trees. Soon enough another small cabin came into view. I must have run at least a few miles.

On the outside it looked just like another old rundown cabin but on the inside it was much different. The basement was an old laboratory and the beams were practically falling from the ceiling.

I took Ellie to the rotting basement and sat her in a chair. Taking some rope I wrapped it around her legs and arms. Didn't need my prey escaping before we got to have some fun.

Ellie's POV

I woke up in a dark room. The scent of mold and rotten wood filled my nose. I coughed, trying to get the dust out of my lungs. The air felt thick and stuffy. How had I ended up here?

As if on cue, someone stepped from the shadows, but it wasn't just someone, it was Michael. I would have shrunk back in fear, but I realized I was tied to a chair. This wasn't going to end well.

"Why am I here? What do you want with me? Why–"

"All will be revealed in due time, princess," he said, his red eyes luminous in the darkness.

"I'm not your princess," I snarled, trying to free my hands. "These ropes are digging into my wrists."

"I'll loosen them then. Wouldn't want my princess to get hurt, now would we?" As he leaned in to loosen the rope, I kicked him right in his crotch. He double backward in pain. I guess that worked, human or vampire.

"I said, I'm not your fucking princess!"

His red eyes deepened in color as he watched my intently. Licking his top lip, I could see his fangs. He smirked again, watching my reactions intently.

"You will learn to love me whether you want to or not. You will be mine, forever."

"I will never be yours, you cunt," I spat. I had no idea where my sudden bad language had come from, but I wasn't in the mood.

"Well someone has been studying their vocabulary. But I'm afraid that's inappropriate coming from a lady, so you must be punished."

Michael suddenly appeared behind me, having used his speed. I could hear the blood pumping through my ears; I was afraid.

He took a strand of hair hanging in front of my face and drew it past my neck placing it behind my ear.

"Don't fucking touch me," I growled tearing my head away from his grasp.

"Now, princess, you only tempt me more when you talk to me like that," He said in a commanding tone. I realized what he meant, and I immediately shrunk back, every ounce of confidence falling from my brain.

"Don't," I muttered. I wanted to beg him to not bite me, but I also didn't want to stoop that low.

"I won't. . . for now," He said, now standing in front of me, watching me with his cold eyes.

He walked off to the other side of the room pretending like he had something better to do. I knew he was only using it as an excuse to stay near me.

He looked towards me with an angry look before I shrunk back yet again. Humans always though they were the superior species, but now I realize vampires are the true superiors.

"Indeed we are and that is why you will be mine. We could rule the–"

My stomach growled, cutting him off mid sentence, and he looked at me skeptically. Apparently he didn't go hungry often. How many innocent people had he killed before?

"Well, someone's hungry," He said sarcastically.

I wriggled in my chair trying to check my watch, but I couldn't turn my arm far enough to see its face. But considering I was hungry, it was probably morning.

"It's 6 am," he said. That's earlier than I thought it was.

I hated the fact that Michael constantly violated my privacy. At least Xander had agreed to stop reading my thoughts.

"So you do know about Xander being a vampire?" He asked almost excitedly.

"Well no shit Sherlock!" I said sarcastically.

"Besides how do you think he can hide something that big from me? Especially after getting attacked in the woods by a psychopath like you!"

"Whatever," he said rolling his eyes and walking up a flight of stairs in one corner of the room.

With him gone, I was able to better study my surroundings. I was sure this was a basement, and I was almost positive it was once a lab, considering the exceeding amount of test tubes, beakers, and broken microscopes littered around the room.

I tried pulling my hands out of the ropes grasp, but I forgot I never got them loosened because I had kicked Michael in the nuts.

"Gah!" I screamed into the empty basement. Why couldn't I just be a Disney princess who would sing and little animals would come to her rescue?

I was stuck in a basement with a psychopath vampire in the middle of god knows where! There was one thing I needed now. No not a thing but a who: Xander. But where was he? If the little animals wouldn't save me I would need a prince in shining armor.

Xander's POV

Bolting up from the floor, I saw Josh and Aden lying on the ground just as I had been. Someone had knocked us out. I can't believe I didn't sense them outside the cabin.

Checking the clock on the wall, I saw it was 4 AM. All the guys were accounted for, but when I check on the girls I noticed Ellie was missing.

"No no no no no!" I yelled. I knew I should have fucking killed him. I knew Michael would come back.

I ran around the cabin making sure she wasn't anywhere else or hiding, but I couldn't find her anywhere. She was gone. Michael had define my taken her.

Josh and Caroline began to stir so I tried shaking them awake. Caroline ended up slapping me, and telling me to go away.

"Dude what happened?" Josh said rising from the floor.

I explained as fast as I could and was already half way out the door. I was determined to find Elizabeth, save her from Michael and then kill him.

"Wait, we can't just leave them here," Josh said with a worried look on his face.

I ran to the kitchen and scribbled something on a sticky note. I stuck it to Caroline's forehead knowing she would be the first to wake up. I tried to wake her up, but she muttered something about 'five more minutes'.

We ran outside and went separate directions from the cabin. Using my hunting skills, I tried to zone in on her scent but there were too many other scents mixed in. At one point I thought I caught on to it, but as soon as I had, I lost it again.

It took almost two hours, but I started getting closer. After another hour of looking I finally found her scent. Using my powers I tried to call Josh with my thoughts so he could find me. It was one of those powers that took years of training, but with my parents help I had perfected it.

It wasn't long before Josh showed up and we were narrowing in on her trail. We came along a bunch of old houses but they all turned up empty. We had almost lost all hope until we heard a distant scream.

Ellie's POV

It must have been closer to 7 o'clock now because light was seeping through the small window by the stairs. I tried getting through my ropes again but it caused me too much pain. But I couldn't give up, so I wriggled and writhed in my seat. Only focusing on escape I forgot the most important thing about being around vampires: don't bleed!

Before I realized it my wrist was bright red and bleeding from rubbing it on the ropes. I tried wiping the blood on the back of my shirt but it stung and I could feel it trickling down my hand and fingers.

Moments later Michael returned with a plate and on it was a bagel. It looked so mouth watering, and I wanted to eat it so bad.

But before I could get it I noticed his nose flare and his eyes became dark red. I tried to wipe the blood on the back of my shirt again but it only stung more. A smirk grew on his face and he looked truly terrifying.

"Aww princess are you offering me something as well?" He asked in a sarcastically sweet voice.

"No!" I yelled, in desperation.

"Well it appears so," he said chuckling deeply.

"You know its cute when Xander smirks but on you its just creepy," I said unable to stop my mouth from making my fatal mistake.

Using his super speed he appeared behind me with my one wrist in his hand. He must have untied me because my other wrist was free as well. I tried to get out of his grasp but he was too strong. Trying again, he only pulled me closer to him to the point I could smell his cologne.

The blood was now flowing down my arm from him holding it up right, and I could see the hungry look in his eyes, as he traced my arm with his finger, running it through the drips of blood.

"Red is such a pretty color don't you agree?"

I didn't answer only gulped, and shut my eyes, as he ran his tongue across my cuts. It tried not to let out a whimper but it stung so horribly, and it slipped out before I could take it back.

"S-stop please," I whimpered trying to tug away my hand.

"You know I love it when you beg princess," he said still licking my wrist.

"I'm not your prin–"

He bit down into my wrist. I let out a scream before he covered my mouth with his free hand. I tried pulling away, but that only caused him to sink in his fangs deeper. His grip loosened, and I made my move to escape, but he wrapped his arm around my waist.

Having my mouth uncovered I wanted to scream but my energy was gone. My heart beat began to slow and my eyelids became heavy.

Michael tore out his fangs, and licked his lips showing me how they were stained in my blood. I whimpered, and my vision became clouded with tears.

"You taste absolutely delicious princess!" He said, his fangs retracting as he walked upstairs leaving me alone.

My cut was no longer bleeding anymore but it was still burning. I staggered over to the table and grabbed the plate. The bagel looked even more delicious now as a scoffed it down.
