Your POV
Golden light filtered through the translucent white curtains, awaking me from the night full of dreams and snores.
Yawning, I stretched my arms and blinked groggily. A smile made its way onto my face as I recalled the events of last night, and a warm feeling began to worm its way around my body, spreading to even the tips of my fingers and toes.
It was relatively early in the morning, but I didn't see the point of sleeping in when I could see my boyfriend. The smile grew bigger as I got changed, replaying last night in my mind over and over again.
"(y/n)?" murmured Naru sleepily, her left eye slowly opening. "Is it time to get up?"
"No, I'm just weird, you can sleep still," I finished doing my signature panda buns. I shot her a wide smile. "See you later then!"
With a skip in my step I made my way through Aiga's house to his room, the timber floor creaking softly with every movement I made.
I rapped gently onto the door of the room, and then the excitement took a hold of me and I opened it. "Good morn- oh my gosh!"
The happiness in my voice vanished as I took in the scene in front of me. Shu look like he had just woken up, his white locks spread around him as he blinked blurrily. Aiga was on top of Shu, sitting on his chest with his head leaned forward and staring into Shu's eyes.
"Oh my gosh!" I repeated, shocked beyond anything. "Are you guys...are you guys having...no...you wouldn't! Shu! We just started dating!"
"I just woke up!" he yelled in defense.
I turned to Aiga. "Where you- oh my gosh, were you assaulting-"
"No, no, no!" Aiga shook his head frantically, waving his arms. "It's not like that!"
I glared at him. "That's exactly what somebody guilty would say-"
"I swear!" Aiga said pleadingly. "I wasn't assaulting Shu! I swear on my life! I swear on Achilles!"
"Fine!" I crossed my arms. "I'll let you go. But only because I'm in a good mood."
"That's weird, I'm in a good mood too," Shu smiled at me, and my cheeks tinged pink.
Aiga glanced back and forth at the two of us. He smacked his head. "Oh no. You two are dating again, aren't you?"
"Yup!" I nodded happily, popping the 'p'.
"On one hand, I'm happy because it took you guys forever," Aiga muttered to himself. "But on the other, I have to third wheel!"
"Third wheeling with us isn't so bad," I pouted.
Aiga shook his head. "No, it really is. I heard about it all from Fubuki."
"That little jerk," I growled and Shu only laughed in amusement. "Well, you look excited too. What's new? I know for sure you didn't become a boyfriend overnight."
"I had a realization," his eyes sparkled. "About Achilles! So Shu, I want you to battle me again!"
"Sure," Shu nodded, standing up. "Let's do it. I just gotta get changed first, you two can go to the stadium first."
"Alright!" Aiga saluted before running off.
I glanced back at Shu. "Be quick. I want to see you again soon."
"Of course," he assured me and with a smile, I walked off towards the other building.
Outside, dawn was only just breaking but the sun was already shooting its rays across the fields, basking Aiga's home in warm light. The grass seemed greener than usual and more soft. Birds were flying up ahead, their birdsong louder than usual.
I stopped, marvelling at the scenery around me. It was simple, but I liked it.
"(y/n)."
Shu was suddenly besides me. "Why did you stop?'
"Was the scenery always like this?" I mused. Shu nodded. "I guess I've just been too concentrated on beyblade that I forgot to stop and smell the flowers once in a while. So I'm doing it now."
"Now's a nice time," Shu hummed, glancing around. "We could even come here later. Ooh, we could have a-"
"Picnic!" we chorused together before bursting into laughter.
"You know, (y/n," Shu said softly. "I'm really glad we're dating now."
"Me too," I whispered, and I couldn't help but lean in for a kiss to which Shu complied to.
"Oi!"
A yell reverberated around the yard, and the two of us jumped apart. An annoyed Aiga stood in the doorway of the stadium rom. "Stop making out! We got a battle to do!"
"Okay, okay!" I shouted back, and Shu started laughing again.
"We should probably go," Shu started walking ahead before turning back to face me, a hand outstretched.
"Yeah, I know," I muttered before taking his hand, our fingers intertwining and my face growing hotter.
"Wait for me!" I heard somebody call out. Naru ran up to us with a big smile just as we entered the building. "I'll be referee!"
"Okay, okay, let's just hurry up!" Aiga exclaimed, getting into his usual stance. His eyes shone in determination. "I'm going to win this."
"It won't be easy," warned Shu, taking his coat off and getting into his stance, poised to launch Spriggan at any second.
"It's the first battle!" Naru exclaimed. "Ready, se-"
"Hold on," Aiga interrupted. "I've gotta do something!"
He ran until he was metres away from the stadium, then got into another stance. I blinked, and suddenly Aiga wasn't standing there. In his place it was a blue-haired boy with spiky hair preparing for a new launch under the blinding lights of the national stadium.
"Are you sure?" Naru's concerned voice brought me back to the present, and Valt vanished. It was Aiga standing there. "You're really okay?"
"Yeah!"
Naru shrugged. "If you say so. Ready, set!"
"Three!"
Aiga came charging in at his full speed.
"Two!"
He took off from the ground, jumping as high as gravity let him.
"One!"
He tightened his grip on the ripcord.
"Let it rip!"
Both bladers tugged the cord as hard as they could, both unleashing intense launches. There was a flash of light from Achilles, and that's when I realized...
He activated his Turbo blades!
"Yeah!" Aiga cheered enthusiastically, realizing what he had done as well.
"Hooray!" cheered Naru.
"Hmm," Shu gazed thoughtfully down at Achilles, a small smile spreading onto his face. "Alright, Spriggan! We're going for the win!"
"Blow it away!" Aiga yelled.
The two beys swerved into the centre, meeting each other in a powerful collision which unleashed sparks and lightning. Fierce wind roamed around the room, whipping my hair crazily but my eyes remained glued to the battle.
They broke apart, but continued rapidly clashing, each time more powerful than the last hit.
"When two beys have entered Turbo Awakening, it's intense!" Naru remarked, and I could only agree.
"Keep going!" Aiga commanded, and Achilles began to push Spriggan back.
"I won't let you!" declared Shu as Spriggan escaped from the barrage. His crimson eyes glowed as his aura emerged in fiery hot flames. A beast wielding a powerful axe appeared from behind Shu, readying the axe. "Now, Spriggan!"
Spriggan began closing in quickly on Aiga. Naru bit her lip. "Aiga!"
Aiga growled, and soon, his own aura had been activated with his hair turning pinker and Achilles surfacing as a beast too. "Achilles!"
Their yells intensified, and their next clash was the most explosive. Crackles of lightning and smoke were so severe, it was hard to believe that pieces of metal caused this.
I squinted, desperate to see through all the haze. Both of the beys were floating in the air. They touched for a brief moment, sending the other one to the ground.
I stared on, my emotions running high with anticipation as the beys spent what seemed like an eternity falling to the ground.
Eventually, the beys hit the ground, one split-second apart. But that split-second decided everything.
Aiga...won?
Aiga gasped. "I won."
"It's Turbo Achilles with a ring-out finish! Aiga's the winner!"
"Yeah!" he yelled enthusiastically. "I really won!"
"Shu would've won if there was another round," I pouted softly.
The Spriggan owner smiled besides me. "Let Aiga have his moment. Aiga, you did good."
"Yeah," he murmured to Achilles happily, gazing down at the bey in his palm. He held up in the air, the sun glinting onto its energy layer. "We did it!"
And just like that, Achilles had been rebirthed. Their bond had been rebirthed.
I wrapped my hand around Shu's, reveling in the warmth that it provided.
I guess our bond has been rebirthed too, huh?

knock knock
"(y/n), breakfast is being served right now!" Valt's voice called me from the other side of the door. "Be quick!"
"Alright!" I yelled before lowering my voice as I glanced at the person on the screen in front of me. "Sorry, Shu. It seems like we've got to wrap this up."
It's been about a week since Aiga made Turbo Achilles. Shu went back to America and I went back to BC Sol. Despite the distance, we've never been closer; we've been calling, messaging and Face Timing each other with every chance we have.
Sometimes we talk for hours, but we never seem to run out of things to talk about. Part of it's because it's, well, love, but another part of is because this week had been so eventful.
As soon as we left Japan Aiga challenged Hyde to a battle and won. Kit traveled to Japan to also challenged Aiga with his bey Air Knight. The former won, meaning that Aiga lost. But I know this time Aiga wouldn't turn to darkness for power.
"Oh!" Shu suddenly snapped his fingers. "I forgot to mention it to you; rumor has it that Hyde and Phi battled."
"No way," I whispered. "Really?"
He nodded. "And apparently Phi won, and in the process he consumed Hades' power."
"Is that even possible?"
"Apparently," he said grimly. "And that's not even the worse part. Phi said that he's going to start challenging top bladers. And you know who that means."
"Aw man," I face-palmed. "I don't want Xcalius or Spriggan to get consumed."
"It's only a rumor so I wouldn't worry too much," Shu shrugged. He checked the time. "We both better go. Talk again in three hours?"
"Of course," I nodded before smiling. "I really like our chats."
He smiled back. "Me too. See you, (y/n)."
"See you, Shu."
My screen turned black and I sighed, already missing him.
It's time to get ready, I thought idly.
A few minutes later I was standing at the entrance of the BC Sol cafeteria. It was buzzing with chatter, laugher and the continuous clatter of cutlery against plates.
Valt was the first one who noticed me standing with a plate filled with my breakfast. "(y/n)!"
"Hey, Valt," I smiled.
He tilted his head slightly. "Why do you seem so sad?"
"Do I?" I asked, slightly taken aback. "Well. I kinda miss-"
"Shu," he finished for me. "We been knew."
I chuckled sheepishly. "Yeah, you're right. It's just that the last time we broke up was because of long distance. Is it really going to work out this time?"
"It's not if you keep questioning everything," Valt rolled his eyes. "Shu believes in you, so you should believe in him and trust each other to keep your relationship."
"Thanks Valt," I grinned.
"No problem," he grinned back. "Come sit with us."
He brought me to a table where him, Honcho, Kit, Sasha, Honey, Rickson, Silas and Cuza were seated. The scene there so bright and so uplifting, it unconsciously pulled me in and made me feel better.
As soon as they noticed me, they all (with the exception of Rickson) proceeded to tease me about my relationship with Shu.
"You lovebirds been smooching a lot, haven't ya?" Honcho chuckled as my cheeks turned red. I didn't mind them teasing me. Most of it was true, anyways.
The first thing I did when I came back from BC Sol was tell Valt and Honcho that Shu and I were dating. It somehow spread like wildfire throughout the whole of BC Sol. Even Mei and Gingka had called me to talk about it.
I didn't mind that either. It was nice having a relationship that you can boast about.
Still, I didn't want always be the centre of attention so I changed the subject. "Enough about me. Kit just arrived from Japan! How was it? Did you try all the foods we told you to eat?"
"Yeah," he nodded enthusiastically. "Beigoma was so pretty! And the food was delicious, especially Valt's mum's beybread. No offense to my mum, but nothing can beat the original. And battling with Aiga was fun too."
"Oh yeah, congratulations on winning," Honcho fist-bumped with Kit. "Aiga's pretty powerful."
"Mhm," I agreed. "Especially since he's activated his Turbo blades."
The conversation continued around me as I slowly finished my breakfast. I was nearly finished when I noticed the missing presence of someone. "Hold on, where's Free?"
"He's training out in the forest, as always," Rickson gestured out.
I finished my breakfast and stood up. "I'm going to go visit him. I haven't seen him much since I came back."
Everyone nodded in understanding and I left the BC Sol building. My feet moved on their own, weaving their way through the forest until I came into the familiar clearing. As expected, Free was training there, sweat trickling down his forehead.
I opened my mouth to greet him and was about to step into the clearing, when Free turned sharply around. At first I thought he had noticed me, but there was another person who had made themselves known before I could.
"Greetings, Free De La Hoya. I have come here to see you."
Standing there was somebody I did not expect, somebody that made me flinch on the inside as he sent chills up my spine with his cold gaze that wasn't even directed to me.
Phi.
"Are you here for a battle?" Free asked.
"Not exactly," Phi smirked before lifting up his bey. "Meet my Dread Phoenix."
A new bey?
This new bey seemed terrifyingly powerful, the energy layer carved with silver illustrations and accented with a red that was too ugly to be called crimson.
"With it by my side, I'm going to destroy Geist Fafnir."
